We also need a tall, holding midfielder who will stay back and help the defence and Krhin is 6ft 2 1/2. Cook is not a holding midfielder.

We need height and he is not a bad option and there in lies the key - he will give us options. Nothing wrong with the young uns and they are doing really well if we play 4-4-2 then room enough in the squad for em all. Hope we keep Austin too as I do not think we have seen him at his best.

I didn't say Cook was terrible, just that he's not a holing midfielder. I don't believe Cook and Mowatt should play together in midfield, as they're too similar.

I agree he's not strong enough from Defensive midfield but half the times Cook has terrorised teams this season has been when he has broken from the back of midfield at speed. Has the ability to cut through teams, I liked the 4-2-3-1 we played at sunderland, would give both cook mowatt and adryan that bit more freedom they sometimes need.

We need a physical presence so the pair of them shouldn't be played together. Mowatt is too slow also

Roffey, I agree about him breaking forward from defence, but I think he might be more effective as an attacking threat given his pace. Him and Adryan linking up would be a treat.
