Im hearing its 6m rising to 10 mil Hess, so agree although don't like to see our homegrown talent leave at that price its too goo to turn down, probably going to fund osman/ bridcutt and another CB maybe.

Didn't want him to go, he's going to be special one day. However, 6 mil possibly going to 10 that is good business. We can really address all the weak areas with that kind of money and throw in what we already have. Good luck Lewis, but I have a feeling we will be playing against you again soon, unless we get promoted 😉.

I agree that if's good business, just hate to see are young talent go, even worst when it's a club like Bournemouth just shows how far we have fallen.

It is sad to see him go as it was with Byram, Howson, Delph and so on. What we have to accept is at the moment we can't compete with Bournmouth, Watford, Leicester, Swansea and so on. Yes we do probably have a bigger fan base, but we can't offer our young talent big enough incentives to stay. They can earn treble the amount at these so called smaller clubs, so it's a no brainer. Since Cook burst onto the scene I thought he is one of the best youngster we have produced. Better than Delph for me. Unfortunately we can't afford to turn down that kind of money, but if we can build a better ALL ROUND team from the sale, then happy days! Hopefully when we do push on and we bring other gems through, we stand a better chance of keeping them.

Just read on the ssn that it could rise to £15m . considering that Payet was £11m . i'd happily take that! Although, as everyone has said, it needs to reinvested in the squad, not the hospitality!

Wow hearing now it's 10 mil now raising up to 15 mil and sell on clause and it this is true this is good business I don't want to see cook go but at least we're not seeing out talented players going for nothing like in previous year.

You can't stop any player going to the premier league. great talent and he will do well and one day I hope we can buy him back. Future England international.
Think its cheap but the add ons should be considered as good buisness.

while I didn't want to see him go £10 million for a young untried kid is great business plus with the add-ons possibly upto 15 million I think this is good business sense, if and this is a big if we invest this money in the squad, but rumours are its 6 million down payment and then 4 million in staggered payments, so don't expect us going out spending 10 million.

I agree with a lot of what's being said.

£15m is a lot of money for anyone on the championship, he's been a good player for us but this is way too good to turn down.

I think a lot of people forget this is part and parcel of football. Transfers happen all the time, a lot of clubs have lost players they didn't want to lose, but just like McCormack, this is brilliant business.

If we can also get £5m to £10m for Taylor now I'd be ecstatic with our transfer business so far.

No player is worth keeping for the money being offered for the situation we find ourselves in.

If we was top 16 Premier League I doubt Cook would of left for Bournemouth, but we aren't, and this is just football carrying on.

If we reinvest a couple of mil on a replacement or in a few other areas, like defence. We can consider this a successful transfer window for a change.

No it's not Bournemouth have signed a nineteen year old could be new gazza. Who will replace him a thirty five year old or a cellino super Italian stallion. No thanks.
