New big deal in the offing to keep Roofe. 28 goals in 110 starts. Not my definition of prolific. Just saying.

I can see both viewpoints. He can certainly score when given the chance to play up top. However he is injury prone, and I question whether he is worth 30K a week. If we give him that kind of money then Bamford, Casilla, Roofe and even o'Kane together cost more than 100K a week! .

The problem is right now that Bamford is on far more than Roofe, and Roofe is perfectly right to say hang on I'm worth far more than him. I don't know if that works for us. Discussing talks but also letting it be known he is available for the right price (and only the right price mind) is the way to go (my feeling that would be 10m) .

I'd be more agreeable to the new deal if i knew for sure we were offsetting Casilla's wage.

Again the blame lies at the feet of the "intelligent" money men. Did they not, for one minute, stop to consider that if they gave Bamford 30k somebody somewhere would put there hand up and say, Hang on a minute. Roofes hand is made even more stronger by the lack of Bamford firepower.
