If the deal to take over Leeds materialises, it will give QSI a potential future headache as UEFA rules don't allow two clubs involved in a European competition to be owned by a single entity.

"The right people will ask themselves the right questions to know how to do it, but we are very far from it, " the entourage said.

Meanwhile, L'Equipe reached out to Radrizzani for an update, but they were told the Italian would not be able to comment on the ongoing discussions.

I imagine that if QSI are looking to purchase Leeds United Football Club for approx £75m then they must be taking on all the incumbent debt too. By which I mean the remaining payments on all the recent outgoing transfer fees etc.
To my mind the low-ish transfer fees that have come in (Viera, Taylor etc) , in recent times, seem to hint at most of the money has been paid up front and there will be little if any further payments coming in. Nothing for QSI to offset against those that need paying in the future.

Also, at that price, i hope they are buying Elland Road, which isn't actually owned by LUFC.

Otherwise that is a lot of money for a EFL team that only manages to break even despite the largest share of TV revenue and a global fanbase.

I doubt we got transfer fees up front. Didn’t usually work that way these days.
