Stuttgart forward Nicolas Gonzalez very much a summer target by all accounts.

£30m for a player with half a season of top flight is a no from me.
You joke Canada but if we sold of a few fringe (Costa and Forshaw the obvious ones) , Hernandez and Bera move on (which I'm expecting) , Haaland has a £66m buy out activating in the summer. Why not make a cheeky bid?
Huge outlay, would mean we would need to strengthen with a couple of loans but at worst we sell for a profit a year later.
Know it won't happen but why not offer, might tug his heart strings a little.

Happy to sell a few to fund. With his speed, power and conversion rate this season wed be in europe places for sure.

I think the wages could well be a problem but if it helped us get Euro footie we could afford it I imagine. Problem is if you bank on that and can't really afford it and something such as an injury happens you are in trouble.

If we sold Costa, Roberts and Forshaw and Alioski and Hernandez leave that frees up a lot of wages Alf. Plus staying up and 49ers increased stake will give us a nice fat stack of cash (especially if we finish top half) . Rather £66m on him than £40m on Traoré who we are supposedly looking at.
Again not a cats chance it will happen, he will go to a top 10 club, but you don't win the lottery if you don't buy a ticket.

In the world not the prem Canada.
I'm talking Barca, Real, Bayern, PSG, Man C, Man U, Pool, Chelski, Athleteco and Juve (could also argue Milan) and the last 3 are all probably long shots tbh.
