It's Sunday Funday everyone, Leeds lose but we're still on top, and Anthony Joshua still holds the titles and is undefeated. So happy weekend all round for me.

I would like to carry on the KP discussion with you guys, discussion, not argument. I will attack this from a different angle and say why he is slow and what makes him different to others that play the same holding role.

Others who have played his role successfully, like David Batty, Chelski players like Makele and Kante. These players have one thing in common, they're small, and have little weight on them, but have a lot of aggression.

Kalvin Phillips, on the other hand, seems like he has hit the gym and is going for a more stocky look. Since he now carries more weight, he has became stronger. However, he isn't as pacy as he should be.

So to me, if I was him, or the clubs dietitian I would be speaking to KP to shed a few pounds and this will improve your overall game, as you will be able to cover more ground quicker.

Bermo, BIGE, I hope this adds to the discussion, and as you guys know I am a big KP fan, but I agree that he lacks pace. This is how I would combat it.

Think he has been trying to up his stamina levels because he has always struggled to play 3 games a week but agree with you about his pace, needs to get a bit leaner, up to coaches to work on it and his diet. Maybe have a red bull before each game.

i agree and good point he can be leaner but also just don't think pace is his game.

I do feel sorry for him with people like me getting on his back as he is knew to the role, I don't think he has a natural ability to sniff out danger like batty kante etc. also think he is not a great tackler, but this is not his game, also think batty can't lace KP's boots when it comes to passing. I honestly think he is in top ten passers in the game and last year further up feild played well.

i know it is different world but i use to play right wing and was quick, i'm not old and fat and slow so play in goal. Occassionaly i have to play on pitch i foul everyone because i'm too slow and i see this with KP. I don't think he is the best player but i also think he is being used very badly by MB, which spanish pointed out is not KP's fault.

funny you mention Strachan i went in the dessing room to meet all the players in 90 before a wimbledon game, steve hodge showed me around, i had photo taken with lukic and met srachan who had a chat with me and batty. Strachan was eating a bannan as we were speaking about 30 minutes before kick off. I was only six and remember feeling a bit sorry for him that they didn't have any choclate or something better for him to eat, like it was pack lunch at school.

Del Boy there’s one big difference between batty kante etc. they are proper premier league players whereas KP is not.
The lad is doing more than ok and thank god for that as we have nobody else for his role. MOT.

I think Dallas is a good shout, if KP fails. I wasn't a great fan of Milner as any sort of attacker, especially a winger but since moving to the back he has been described as the best pound for pound defender and I agree. He does not hve the quick brain or feet of Georgie Best but he does have heart and lungs of Maldini and I think the same could be said of Dallas, if tried. He will give a 100%, put a tackle in and get around the pitch. Come on MB see it, give him a go.

corky i played the other day and think a shot of meth might of improved my game! very true about KP and even i have to admit he wears the weight well and certainly a lot better than i do! also he seems a smart lad and with mb and expereince i have no doubt he will get better in the role

and of course the photo explains a lot! i have been in love with Sir John Lukic since i have been six, my youngest middle name was nealry lukic and she is a girl and I spoke to his agent about getting him to marry us but the chruch wouldn't allow it (both true facts sadly)

you think my views on Kp are strong you want to hear them on sir john. you see it is not my opinion but fact. Lukic is the greatest goalkeeper. nay footballber. nay person to ever walk this planet and any one who thinks otherwise is just wrong. again not opinion fact and I will fight anyone to the death who thinks otherwise.
