ok i'm not normally one to snitch or throw people under the bus however. to try and detract from the fact I think i have royally p@@sed some people off and to take the heat off me can i just point out. al stfford white said he thought batty was OVER rated. can we let the lynching begin. I have a mate in MI 5 who has eyes on him give the word and the trigger can be pulled

(sorry Al but thought this might move away from my KP rants. If you could also incsult Billy Bremner that would be great! )

Not a problem BW, having watched the mighty whites for quite a bit longer than 40 years, it is my opinion that Batty was overrated. He has said himself that he didn't like football he was just good at it. He was good but never in the same league as Brenner, Dacourt etc.

Batty, Bremner, two of my all time favourites

Again see my previous comments about players prepared to do the work in the trenches to allow the likes of Gary Mac and Giles to play (although to be fair JG did a fair bit of the hard yards himself )

{Ed001's Note - Macca could dig a bit too mate, he got stuck in a fair bit in his short spell with Liverpool.}

Ed001 You're quite right Mac could get stuck in but he truly came unstuck when Viduka's quaddy went in. Like Macca, I came unstuck a couple hours later when my absence at an important event (not the game) didn't go unnoticed.

{Ed001's Note - ah but he scored from 45 yards to win the derby for Liverpool so no LFC fans really remembers anything else about his time with us. I don't even remember him playing in the game Viduka did that in. The only thing I really remember was wondering how on earth Elleray didn't send off Bowyer (but that is something you were probably used to wondering about Bowyer!) and then just knowing that I had to go into work and face the smuggest bloke on earth that night who happened to be a Leeds fan. He was a nice guy like but he was a bloody nightmare when Leeds won!}

cheers al,

in all honestly i loved batty but can agree with that, he did a job and did it really well but wasn't a great footballer and certainly not when compared to others like Billy, dacourt or kante who tackle and can play.

gary mac and speed maybe the best all round footballers during my time along with bowyer who i loved, although i make ed right he was often quite naguhty and maybe played more minutes than he should of.

don't exxagterate and make it worse than it was. i am certain he scored twice! (his first goal for leeds was a blinder if i remember correctly run down the line and tucked it in the corner)

Delboy Wrong! Scored 4 for Leeds in his first spell, 1 for Blackburn and 3 for Geordies. 8 goals.
