Like boxing, styles make matches. For me, we are serious playoff contenders and nothing more unless Radz spends nicely in January. Even acquiring just Gomez would see us challenge for the title.

'Brom' were missing top quality players when they were beaten. We beat Derby before they sorted themselves out. We won with a style no one was really expecting. They are now.

Always always pessimistic Hess.
We got done yesterday but it happens.
We got well done by City when we came up as champions from the same league last time.

Ok I’d like a RB CB left sided midfielder and another striker but I’m pretty sure every teams fans would say similar.
I really believe barring a decimation of injuries we won’t be far away. In fact I still fancy us to win it.

Not pessimistic just realistic. I've never believed in blind optimism it gets you into all sorts of trouble. When I see something promising I say so. Unfortunately for the past thirteen years realistically we've had no chance of doing too in the top two divisions. At least now I can say top ten in the championship - yes, top six possible. That's realistic and optimistic. Winning promotion without any changes - well that's a bridge too far.

Even with quality you can always get done over as you say - once or twice maybe three times. Problem is we don't have enough quality and that's why we got turned over yesterday and beaten by Birmingham and Blackburn and got draws where we easily have lost. Leaky defence and not enough going for us in the final third. That's the reality. Optimism and pessimism doesn't come into it.

derby was very early in the season I said at time that is a false result. that said this league is mental.
