woke up hung over and devistated

seen bamford has been made the scapegoat, which while i can understand to a small degree think it is bit unfair

this season we have lost to brum and qpr twice. Lost to blackburn, hull, last minute goal to get draw with wall and could of lost to them last week had pablo not pulled it out of the bag

for me the trouble is style. we play like liverpool, man city and wengers arsenal. It is great and can blow teams away but the crap but physical teams can find us a soft touch.

last time we got out of this league we had jones and batty to boss scrappy games, over run oppoents and make sure we didn't lose against soft teams.

man city are weaker without fernadino who is their most important player imo, and liverpool have van dyke who is maybe best defender on the planet, we can't afford a player like that so really need a plan B when off form or playing a team that will bully us

for me I really would drop klitch play phillips further up and play beradi in front of back four. it might work, it might not but what we are doing against these teams ain't worked all season so why not give it a go?

Berardi's passing range is not to Phillips standard. Would drop either Roberts for Forshaw and push Klich into more forward role or swap Klich for Forshaw. Personally I think our midfield would be stronger with Phillips, Forshaw and Klich.

this is ture which is why i would push kp further forward, because berdi can't pass like phillips, let's be honest very few if any in the league can. but kp can boss and bully and tackle like beradi. leeds are a soft touch and crap teams have beaten us because they have over run us.

yesterday is a one example, but KP's poor aimless pass without side of the boot went to their man, three passes later they score.

now i'm not blaming kp for the mis hit poor pass. his passing has been amazing and no one not even me can slate him for one bad pass. but further up we get away with this. if we have someone to boss middle of the park and win ball back rather than ball hit the back of our net.

KP has played in the middle in previous seasons and has struggled with getting forward and back. Bielsa has improved his game by simplifying it and putting the majority of play in front of him. You bemoan his lack of pace, unfortunately his lack of pace will not help him further forward. Strengthen the core of the team but introducing Forshaw who is a box to box midfielder who supports the transition forward and look at the number 10 role. Would not be against playing Bamford in that position and putting either Roofe or Edmondson as the main striker.

i can see the logic to your arguement and do not disagree. I would say further forward his lack of pace is less of a liabilty with conceeding goals and his passing would hurt teams more.

putting the play in front on him has helped his game and i can see the pros but the cons are it makes us soft and weak. I love forshaw and i think he could be the answer but his form has been iffy for us.

I think to get best from Kp you have to build team around him to an extent, get forshaw or beradi or someone to win the ball and protect and their one job is then to give it to kp, and tell kp don't worry about getting up and down because you cant, the other guys will cover you, you use your passing to hurt the other team.

Cant believe i am doing this but have to agree with BW would like to have Berardi in holding position, said it early in the season, especially against teams like Wall and Birmingham. Think Berardi would do well against the more physical teams and allow more freedom for KP. Kp has a sweet strike from 20 yards and can play neat balls into the front men. Our biggest problem though is some one who can convert those chances on a regular basis. I thought Bam-Bam would do it but not showing much so maybe Aus is right on that one. Keep thinking if we had a striker from one of the other top teams, Gayle, Pukki etc, we would be running away with this league.

can't arue Bige if we had a 20 goal man we would be doing better but also need to stop letting in goals. teams that can't buy a win like qpr and brum rub hands together and get all three points against us.

a 20 goal man and some steel in middle of the park would make us champs

i am delighted ith this season we have played great and done better than i thought but the games we have lost to rubbish teams really makes me sick.

Bermo, Bige. Totally agree, particularly as you say, against the more physical sides. Berra could definitely play a bigger role in this squad.

Shame we won't know. Never going to happen.

We actually have two players in the squad who’d score 20 plus. Roofe and Bamford. Crying effing shame both missed big chunks of season.

I do agree cork i like roofe and bamford and think many have been harsh, I also think it is a style thing, again like arsenal when it works we blow them away when it don't it is all sideways passing in front of them with all the possession and no pentertaion. bit like my marriage.

Corkwhite, very true, this season has to go down as bad one for injuries.
