The concerning thing about this statement is that it kind of contradicts what MB was saying towards the end of last season, whereas he doesn't think the current squad could replicate the performance again next (this coming) season. I can't believe we won't be signing anyone, and that our summer is all about lightening the load on our current payroll, but the statement that Angus makes could certainly be interpreted this way.

Sure we will get some loans in but doubt we will buy before we sell. Said we had 5 mill for loan market so would expect someone in. No mention of a transfer kitty so guess we will have to sell to buy. If we are letting players like Diaz go, who was cover where it is needed, think we will be struggling for cover again if we get injuries like last season. We were quite lucky with suspensions last season as well. If we play with a bit more grit and determination, which is needed, can see us getting a few more yellows. Dallas one, Harrison two, Roberts three yellows is low for players who have a lot of the ball.

Get with the program guys Radz is potless and it seems like Leeds United haven't any funds after the best season for attendances and revenues in years. We have to sell our best assets after a season of fantastic football and near capacity attendances and only 10 months after 22 million in player sales.

Radz is the head of the investment company that bought us. Aser Holdings buys up sports franchises, improves them, then sells them. Like any investment company they will want a return annually on their investment prior to selling. Radz could put his own money in, if he had any, but would want that to be matched by investors or at least with the backing of the company. Money raised by sales etc will not all go to the club as i said Aser will want a return on the initial investment. Where ever the money came from to buy ER is irrelevant as its was put into a different company. This may have been for tax reasons or certain rules or it may be that it just maximises its value in any future sale, that one is open for debate.
Only way fresh money for transfers will be raised is to sell players or sell shares. Either way not all the money raised will go towards transfers.

I’m not sure you would really expect the chief executive to say” We are not very confident in our squad and we are looking to get rid of some of them just as soon as we have got rid of all these useless hangers on out on loan and sold a couple of our best players”!

Agree Wex anyone with a bit of common and of course money would have gone out in the Jan window and got at least three players, as the revenue from the prem is so good.
Are loans were once again were poor and this coupled with injuries in certain areas and not having a proper squad player to put in .

I'm not terribly worried yet. The main reason is that Bielsa won't take any nonsense from anyone (judging how he has unceremoniously left other clubs) .

It sounds like he has a meeting, tells ownership what he needs to get the job done if they want him to stay they deliver.

The one worry for me is that he will have given them a deadline - could be first day of pre-season could be last, doesn't matter to him, he will leave if they don't fulfill their end. He did a great job last year with a not-so-different squad from Christensen/ Heckingbottom. Yet the Championship was a huge learning curve still and he will know this and won't have been shy in what improvements in the squad and club he asked for to be competitive.
