I think we all know we should have won that game tonight but I’d rather be a Leeds fan right now than an Arsenal, they are half the team they used to be. A shadow of the beautiful free flowing football they once played. Can only see our team improving with time, very excited about Raphina and Rodrigo, remember, this is only the first page of our new Premiership story.
On Bielsa i can’t understand why certain folk think that he is a one trick pony, he has already shown in previous games to change his tactics to try and alter the course of a game. A footballing tactician he is a boring one dimensional coach he is not.
Onwards and upwards you mighty whites.

Op I love your post and really respect your opinions so genuine question

When ever . ever has belisa change tactics or mixed things up

When ever has there been a plan b?

Yes he changes formation if they play one or two up front but this in itself is predictable.

Berm we have just two different distinct styles of attack that Bielsa will deploy depending on the situation in a match. You will have probably noticed that we didn’t use the flanks so much against Arsenal hence no Costa the attacks were more direct, central, trying to flood the box and confuse the Arsenal defense. Despite Arsenal defending well, which they did, we could have scored 3 goals. I don’t think Bielsa was wrong in his plan, only perhaps he should have introduced Rodrigo earlier.
Defensive issues are however are somewhat flawed in Bielsa’s teams, you can see that our defense tend to man Mark which makes it easier for opposition players to peel past our defenders into huge open spaces, like Wolves, Leicester and Palace exposed.
This is why Bielsa relies on a very high tempo game so as not to get into those situations, but.

Bielsa has two plans, Plan A then Plan B (do plan A better) . It's not about the plan really though, the mentality and fitness is where a team lives and/ or dies under him. Most players get a year, some 2 under his system, the guys around since the start are the fittest and most dynamic in the league if not world football. Will take us far.

Doesn’t a change of formation represent a change in tactics?

No need for plan b if we take our chances it's simple.

Berm I'm confused by your comment most players get a year, some two.
What is this about?

Not really Notts when everyone knows what the tactics will be

I see what your saying op but last night was poor against ten men we didn’t create much as for the lack of wing play maybe it was a plan but it didn’t work

We have been scoring for fun yet last night whatever the plan was didn’t quite come off for me not playing costa was huge mistake.

I would say if we hadn’t created any chances then it would have been the wrong tactic, I think we were simply very unlucky. I know that’s not going to be a popular opinion but I believe that was the case.

Guessing you mean my comment not berms Canada. Basically Bielsa has only stayed at most clubs 1 season, some he has lasted 2 seasons. At 2 and a bit we represent his longest club reign. That means our players (the ones he started the job with anyway) have had more benefit from his tactics and training than anyone else.

It’s been stated before, plan B is to execute Plan A better. no need for another plan.
