Many intelligent posts below regarding the problems we have. What concerns me is what Bielsa is saying and how he's coming across. He looks a tad forlorn like a man who is looking forward to retirement. He's contradicted himself saying he doesn't know why we concede so much at set plays then later says it's no mystery. George knows as does Berm but give Berm credit as he has repeatedly mentioned this the reason we can't defend physically is the same reason we can't score such type of goals. We lack aerial prowess among the players. Bielsaball requires good "on the carpet" defenders but you still need the physical type. Acquiring defenders who have both attributes and good enough at PL level cost big money. If we only go for someone who is good in the air but can't play Bielsaball we'll suffer just in a different way. At least our defensive frailties are contained to just the one aspect sort of. Solve that and we're a mid-table side. Since I can't see Bielsa adapting and suffering less fluidity at the back for someone physically and aerially strong who will protect us from and threaten at set pieces, I can see us hanging on for survival and succeeding simply because I know there are 3 or 4 teams worse than us. I see Bielsa walking away amicably at the end of the season and perhaps Stevie G will be his replacement.

I for one would be content finishing 17th and moving on to a new season with another Summer window . Rome wasn’t built in a day and if MB stayed I would be very happy . As I write Brom losing again!

Bloody hell George you see lots of things! Now we will just about survive but a few weeks back we were too six! Funny how fickle folk can be.
