Not sure what people expect from this team and it’s current loss of our three biggest signings to injury.

Remember enjoy the rollercoaster ride?

Yeah Mesellier may be one of the best keepers in Europe but he’s a kid and will have games like this and as he was going for record number of clean sheets today it does not happen as regularly as people are implying.

Never understood criticism of our own players before they’ve even kicked a ball thought Roberts added more than Klich and Costa scored, great to see Pascal score and Nial get a run he showed great promise.

10th would be a monumental achievement for this team first season back and if we win our game in hand over Arsenal as we are very capable of doing then we leapfrog Arsenal again.

Said before we should enjoy the likes of Leceister away but understand it’s not to be expected.

I would agree that it seemed silly to juggle the whole team to accommodate shacks today but sadly young messilier had a nightmare if he clears his lines we’re still in the game, hopefully he will learn from today and be a better keeper for it.

Yes i hate losing too, but it really was a freak on the keepers part (sorry berm do not think the shuffle excuses him from his errors) we go again and if we can get 10th with current squad, injuries then i honestly do not think we could have done more.

Class

Leeds and Bielsa can ( just about) cope with the loss of Rodrigo, Koch and Llorente, what is becoming evident is that Leeds and Bielsa lose some confidence and can't really cope that well with the loss of KP as the defeats to Brighton and now Arsenal signify.

Meslier and the defence need to play the ball long on occasions and get the ball forward more quickly with teams that high press us. Terrible mistakes today leading to goals.

Not sure of your point BV the Phillips missing thing has been an issue all season we don’t have a like for like replacement and agreed we should have my point is this was a very young keepers errors, but then too often Klich and Ayling n particular keep passing back to lilian which is why he made more passes than any Palace player last week.

We cannot bemoan what doesn’t exist this is a 3-5 year project to get to Europa league not sure why we cannot accept we have what we have and WHEN we can enjoy the ride.

Must remember the villa game was without Phillips and one of our best performances but then belisa has to pick the 11 and didn’t have a chance to mess about too much.

As a keeper when i was growing up I really feel for Meslier today - and you know what, right now i back him completely, not just because the only other option is Casilla, but because Meslier has done more than enough to merit backing after a game where he made glaring mistakes.

Its not the first time he's made mistakes, but certainly I feel where he made mistakes that lost us the match directly. It happens. The best leeds keeper i remember (just) Nigel, made mistakes. It's about how he responds to that poor 30 minute spell. Second half a small sample size but he made two saves.

20 yrs old - chalk this down to a learning curve and keen to see how he responds to it vs. Wolves. He's among the most saves away from home in Prem i think this season (if not still the top) has kept a solid amount of clean sheets this season too. If you look at clean sheets this season (palace, Burnley, Arsenal, Everton, Villa, Sheffield United, Brom) he's been a big part of most of those, even with a bit of luck vs, Burnley and nothing much to do vs. Palace.

Little note, for Huggins, Costa and Roberts, maybe Arsenal took their foot off the gas at 4-0 but credit to all of them their roles, and lovely to sell Pascal break the duck with a header that Dom Matteo would have been proud of.
