Learning that the Cellino regime with whatever manager he ate at the time turned down Ben Godrey as a 16 year old. Well played Massimo.

To be fair George if he hadn’t gone around turning lights off and putting more money in than he ever got back we may not have been a solvent business for Radz to buy.

Still a saviour to me however many melons he devoured.

Supposedly we also turned down moves for Kane (£500k) and Van Dyke (£2.5m) because they where too expensive. And people have a go at Orta, at least he hasn't turned down 2 of the best players on the planet for less than three million.

Massimo was a saviour of Leeds
Yes he was mental and made a lot of mistakes but he put his money in and saved the club from its darkest hour. He paved the way for rads.

Also regarding Kane and can dyke that is paper talk and we wasn’t the only ones offered them deals so if true the whole of football turned them down for that price.

Gummie, I heard that the we agreed a fee with the Spurs board for Kane but Tim Sherwood pulled the plug on the deal. We then signed Chris Wood instead. Never heard the Van Dijk link though.
