I maybe wrong here but if we give a stupid goal away or give a penalty away or getting a player sent off does it seem to be always Liam Cooper.? It seems like it but I'm sure if I looked at the stats in detail I'd be wrong.

He does seem to play a more robust, full bloodied, old fashioned game which was commonplace in the 60s but not tolerated now.

I don't recall Cooper giving away a penalty last season. I do remember Rodrigo, Koch, Ayling, Alioski and Struijk but not Cooper.
It surprises me as he did what he did to DCL in every game he played!

He may be club captain but he’s a liability at this level but hey in Bielsa we all must trust.

The refs have said that they are being more lenient towards old style, physical play, which is great news, and about time in my book.

Cooper is out of his depth resulting in holding players, pulling shirts and committing fouls from ill timed challenges. This results in giving away opportunities and free kicks and getting booked and sent off.

Mighty - for last season, Coops received our only red card, albeit a very debatable decision at Man City - and inadvertently it added lustre to our most notable result, the backs to the wall heroic 2-1. As for penalties, of the 9 awarded against us, a grand total of 0 were conceded by Coops. Koch had two (in the first 2 games) , Alioski 2, and 1 each for Rodrigo, Klich, Struijk, Meslier and Ayling. As for other random mistakes leading to goals, who knows.
