It's actually an unbelievable story. Three generations of a family playing for the same club. If Archie half has good as his great uncle (I think that's the term) then we'll have some player on our hands. His grandad was a proper fullback and his dad, although didn't live up to early expectations, had a solid career.
I hope I got it right with the family tree!

Correct family tree info of mercurial wizard Eddie Gray,
along with his brother left back
( and occasional left side midfield) Frankie Gray and nephew Andy Gray a forward.

Some say Archie Gray potentially could be as talented as Eddie. I doubt he will be but he is an exciting player for sure.

I hope he has a better injury record!
Then again unless he plays vile every week he won't get kicked as much as Eddie did.

Difficult to compare players across the generations, different game today. Got to remember this lad is 16!
Incredible for his age, his build, confidence and skill. He’s being looked after really well, part of the squad, should imagine he’ll have a role against Barnsley! If he keeps focused, I think he’ll be a great star for us.

They say his younger bro Harry is even better.

It’s strange really, but footie truly did run throughout that family. I coached another 2 of Eddie’s grandkids, and both were great footballers. One of em ran with the ball exactly like Eddie, and even pulled his sleeves over his hands on cold days like he did! Lovely family too. Eddie came to many games, but such as the gent he is, stood well away, without saying a word, so as not to be over bearing, or interfere!

Sadly and I know it is a tad cynical but if Archie does rapidly develop into a great player in the coming years, we will lose him to an elite club. We can only hope by the time he is developed, we are also challenging for European football?!

OP - Archie’s only just turned 16. He and his family will know that, if all goes to plan, by the time he’s 21 we’ll be playing at a 55/ 60,000-seater Elland Road stadium and in a very good position financially to challenge for Europe - and promising players at currently so-called elite clubs may be queuing up to sign for us, so they too can savour the support from our white, blue and yellow wall of sound.

Sorry Bright and Clu, still feeling the effects of losing Kalvin.
I’ll get over it ?.

If he's half as good as Eddie cracked it what a player.
