For all the fans on here trying to justify having a poor coach on the basis that previous experienced managers have failed. I agree they have & yes there's a but. My But is this, from the moment MC gets us on track & decent players come in is yhe only time we can properly judge them. Previous managers have been shackled by no budget or a poor one, also grabbing freebies & not getting the targets asked for. Now this isn't the case for all of them but most in recent years. So stop with the justification of Hockaday by using what has gone before. Just stick to the facts that MC wouldn't back his true gut instinct which was Dolan because of money & then tried to convince us that Hock was his one and only.
Believe it or not I've been a full supporter of MC since finding out he wanted to buy us but I know when I'm being mugged off & won't make excuses for him. I like some of the things he's trying to do & take with a pinch of salt most of the BS coming out of ER lately but won't be all for everything he does just because I like him

Slough you say you when when you're being mugged off and you say that Cellino didn't want to pay the €400,000 or however much it was to get Dolan did you ever think that maybe he thought that was a bit pricey for someone who has only been in charge of a team for 1 year and that was in the conference which happens to be the same level as Hockaday.

You'd pay the money when you can get someone of the same standard for free that's not the greatest business sense in the world is it?

Does this mean you'd have been happy with Dolan being appointed?

JBM the point I'm making is that at a presser to unveil new coach MC says it's my gut instict, the reason he employed Shockaday, was it the same gut instict which wanted Dolan but put off by the money. If MC had hired Dolan he would have said the same thing yet clearly a gut instinct is exactly that not an either either situation.
As for Dolans record it's neither here nor there tbh but I can't listen to BS from our president the same as I couldn't put up with it from McD or DH last year. I think we've worn this out mate, we've got Shockerdave & I hope he proves us all wrong. MOT

Fair enough Slough but I'd rather prefer to think he proves some of us right. ;)
