the coach I know at palace said leeds were very poor and have made some 'strange offers' with youth team ect. he said it is widely thought MC bit off more than he could chew and didn't realise how much money we owed and buying leeds nearly skinted him. he said he liked mc and thought he would do well, but we were hard up. he said best thing mc did was not make it too well known giving him more power in getting good fee ross. I didn't believe him but why sell smith for half a mill, he is worth more than that (a lot more) and to sell him to ross'es team knowing they play well. we have just given fulham the paring that made ross fly and kept us up last year. unless we are skint that makes little sense. still think MC is great though and trust him

I know he didn't realise how much money we were leaking but I do not believe he is skint

Cellino is worth something in the region of £750 million so despite our ridiculous debts I find it incredibly doubtful that buying Leeds nearly bankrupt him he's just a very astute business man by the looks of things.

My personal opinion on selling Smith is because Cellino wants us to (TRY - may not happen but hopefully) and play attractive football and with a player like Smith in the squad is far too easy to resort to hoofball.

I'm delighted Smith is gone always felt he was a very poor player and if not for his height would struggle at League 1 or 2 level.

Also can't believe Poleon gone permanently sad to see a youth team player leave us but I always felt he was awful and that's my polite opinion on him.

Best transfer window in years am feeling incredibly confident of a great season ahead now just get us a coach who can make us click and you never know could be a trip to Wembley with a bit of luck.

Mad stuff Bermondsey and not 1 bit believable. With Doukara Antenucci Sharp AJose ahead of him and no Capital 1 cup left to play in Smith was surplus just like Poleon. We have brought in 14 players something had to give, watch now as contracts are cancelled by Mutual consent and players who we couldn't sell for a fee start joining smaller cubs. Massimo Cellino is nobody's fool where money is concerned and for once in a very long time things are starting to look up.
