I along with a few others on this site get regular stick for our loathing of Evans. Evans is not the man to take our great club anywhere other than a mid to lower table finish. I know Evans lovers will say it is all MC's fault but I beg to differ, the other argument is that this is not Evans team but the truth is he has had 29 games and countless training sessions to implement his style of football and to get the players fit and playing the Steve Evans way, what ever that is.
Here are some facts to mull over from when Evans took charge until Dec 31 st we played 13 league games won 5, drew 5 and lost 3 scoring 15 goals and conceding 12, not a bad start. Evans then brought in two of his players in the awful Carayol and big Dave and since then we have played 16 league games won 4, drew 5 and lost 7 scoring 14 goals and conceding 22. Now that is not down to Carayol or Dave but my point is that
as a football coach Evans and his staff are not improving our team and if anything we are getting worse.
His record in league games is won 9, drew 10, lost 10 .
We have in his reign had just 92 shots on target in those 29 games and in 5 games had just 1 or in one case no shots on target in matches. The opposition have had 125 shots on target including our win at Cardiff who despite losing and having 10 men managed 10 efforts on goals.
Evans is a negative coach who is tactically inept, his skill is in pre match interviews where he always praises the opposition and the manager giving the impression every time that we are playing fantastic opposition and how well we will have done to get a result.
As a coach I do not like or rate the man and the sooner MC gets back to his lunatic hiring and firing ways the better.

A typical performance from an Evans team and if MC gives him another year what we have to look forward to next season. Unthreatening possession football, no pace, no creativity, percentage football hoping for a wonder goal or a present from the opposition.
Carayol and Dave lauded as Evans signings a good example Dave tidy and uninspiring, Carayol disinterested and dire and just emphasising why he is not wearing a Boro or Huddersfield shirt.
It is not all doom and gloom and with our season again drifting to the inevitable lower mid table finish can we at least give some kids ago and play this side for the rest of the year

It's not an Evans team.

2.) 09 Apr 2016 16:27:20
Who is deciding on the system, tactics, working on set pieces at training, picking the team, making substitutions and coaching then?

3.) 09 Apr 2016 17:06:44
I would say given stats from the last few games where we are on top in most areas show Evans is setting team out well and individual errors at the back and strikers not finishing show it's players letting us down not the manager.

4.) 09 Apr 2016 17:13:56
And unthreatening possession football we created plenty of chances wood should have scored at least twice.

5.) 09 Apr 2016 17:17:41
And wood and bamba in your team for rest of season your having a laugh.

6.) 09 Apr 2016 18:07:17
Wex are you Steve Evans?

7.) 09 Apr 2016 18:23:51
No but your post was just ranting with no sense whatsoever we created plenty of chances and wood and bamba who you want playing for rest of season were biggest culprits in today's defeat bamba at fault for goal and wood missing sitters would you like to explain how they make your team.

8.) 09 Apr 2016 18:45:19
Because if not Bamba its Wootton or Bellusci

Duke is out, Erwin not yet good enough.

Plenty of chances? 11 corners and just 3 on target attempts. Surely they practice corner routines in training.
Wex if you are happy with that today then you will be a happy man for many years to come.

9.) 09 Apr 2016 19:01:01
Didn't say I was happy with it I just pointed out that it's not Evans team and as you've just pointed out the squad is not good enough and it's hard to blame Evans for that your last post proves that.

10.) 09 Apr 2016 20:41:07
No point in creating chances unless we have someone who will put them away.

. Wood is not the player we need as he continually demonstrates!

11.) 09 Apr 2016 20:47:48
It will never be Evans team Wexleeds because Cellino signs the players he believes are right for the team. It is the head coaches job to work with what he is given. Unfortunately, I don't think he is capable to coach players to achieve a promotion challenge.

Hopefully the best thing to come out of the last 4 games is the realisation to the Evans believers that actually he is all wind and p*ss as my Grandad used to say.

He simply never has had the class or the track record to manage a club like ours, although in fairness none of MC's appointments have had the track record part.
I dislike Evans with a passion and I always have.
My hope is that MC has a bang on the head and suddenly decides that we need a guy in charge of the team that actually has the experience of getting out of this division.
In the meantime we as fans needs to have the equivalent of an AA meeting sit down and say the words I am a Leeds fan and we are a bottom half of the championship side.
MOT everyone and keep the faith.

Good post.
I am a Leeds fan and we are in the bottom third of the Championship.

Wow that was poor today, but fortunately Evans is there to tell us what happened rather than what we actually saw.
What I saw was a team that was scared, laboured, pedestrian and defensive. A team that did not seem to be playing for anyone, the manager, the owner, the club, the shirt. Exceptions Taylor, Dave, Coyle, Aunty and Cook. Bridcutt was awful totally not interested, Duke and Cayrol only interested when they had the ball. Bellusci was back to his best amateur dramatic best.
We made a poor Bolton side look dangerous.
To many times today we got the ball and our first thought was stop and go back or sideways. Due in no small part to the laziness of Duke and a lack of any forward looking runs.
So I have to ask this question of the great Evans instead of spending the week talking and coming to collective decisions about taking the collective blame how about getting on the training field and working on pass and move, corner routines ( do we have any) , giving the keeper crossing practice, shooting, passing, passing to people in white shirts, closing down ohh and some passion and commitment would be nice to.
I am guessing that Cardiff and Blackburn away will be an absolute treat for the loyal travelling band with more negative and setting up for a point formations from the best coach in his world.

Couldn't agree more 1LU, Bolton were a very bad side and yet again we struggled to beat a side that hasn't one away from home in almost a year. Still according to Evans after the game we have some exciting times ahead of us, let's hope it is with another manager.

My £37 Cat A Bolton tickets are here and I am so excited. Fast free flowing football, full of creativity, passion and commitment. A manager who is forward thinking and always quick to change things and is tactically astute all that and Scott Wootton.

Surely Millwall can raise £3.73 and tell them not to worry about the cab fare I'll drive him there myself and I can fit Scott Wootton in the back too.

Mushy have you forgotten Charlie Taylor!
Personally not sorry that Aidy "headless chicken" White has gone he had more than enough chances.
Rosler is talking up Ajose which would give us pace up front.
I am not too concerned about the constant clamour for wingers, width can come from the full back position equally well Cooper, Reaney, Frankie Gray,Dorigo, Sterland, Kelly, Harte etc etc and dare I say Byram and Taylor.
If it is to be the latter then a defensive centre mid would be top of my shopping list to cover them as they go forward.

I am guessing the first teamers were Hunt,Morison,Austin,Tonge,Murphy,Warnock, Pearce and White!
As for his tactics being very good it's a shame he didn't employ them during games.

MC said going from Calgari to Leeds was like going from a Fiat to a Ferrari, unfortunately he has a bloke in charge who has only ever driven an X reg Corsa.

Not good enough for Fulham but ok for us! Let him stay there and clean McCormacks boots and we bring on our own talented midfield youngsters Mowatt,Dawson and Cook

Aus
What Wood brings to the team has been obvious is these last few weeks. Wood occupies the opposition centre backs as well as giving the midfield an outlet. We have missed Wood's presence.
Yesterday Coyle made forward runs in 20 minutes than Wootton has in 20 games. Shame Coyle got injured as with him and Taylor getting forward we have a great balance and attacking options.
Disagree about Bellusci and Antenucci they are not crap at all they are just used to playing a different style.
Mirco's goals yesterday were top draw. Bellusci was good but there is a bit to much play acting for my liking.
