Was working yesterday so could not get to the match but watched it last night through my beer goggles and again this morning. Thought Brentford were the best we have met this season, caused us a lot of problems. Ref certainly a Brentford fan, needs to dropped to lower leagues, very poor.

Although once again some of our players were off their game, maybe need a rest, we more than held our own and i think if the ref had let the game flow we would have seen us win that one. Third not a bad place to be after all our injuries and in a way i am glad Ayling gets to have a rest now as well.

Said before we are missing Pablo and Roofe up front to get the goals flowing again. If the ref had his glasses on and spotted the dive we would have won 1-0 so not downbeat over the result, or performance. these things happen. Think we are a top three team and deserve to be and come end of season will expect us to still be up there.

West Brom for me are the team to beat, dodgy defence but score for fun. Blunts and Bees will drop away but will be thereabouts for a play off position. Very close so far as Forest have shown by jumping into the play off position. Think the team who wins it will be the first one to get 5 points ahead over the winter.

If we sign two or three players in Jan, which we have the money for, think that could be us. Always positive because no point being negative when you are in the top three. Think the young lads coming through and getting game time will be a big help this season. Onwards and upwards.

Whats up ed running out of things to put on the rumours page.

{Ed001's Note - it is Ed033 for some reason he doesn't seem to understand the difference between rumours and banter. He keeps doing this just to keep the page ticking over when it does nothing bar making a mess.}

2.) 07 Oct 2018 14:59:27
Very positive, BIGE, like it!

3.) 08 Oct 2018 10:44:46
Great post Bige. Yours are always a good read pal!

27 Aug 2018 10:46:43
According to Hay Bielsa wants premier midfielder in before Friday to cover for Saiz. Anyone any ideas who that could be.

1.) 27 Aug 2018 14:15:22
Izzy Brown's a name doing the rounds and Powell from Wigan.

2.) 27 Aug 2018 17:58:23
That would be good signing.

3.) 27 Aug 2018 21:50:46
I was thinking Izzy, bielsa type of player.

09 Jul 2018 14:02:14
Looks like the Vydra deal is off, surprise surprise. Wages a problem so it seems. Come on Jerry aaaaaagh

1.) 09 Jul 2018 16:43:21
I'm happy about that. Always too expensive. Abel, Wilson and 2 decent central defenders and I'm good.

2.) 09 Jul 2018 17:27:58
Its good to dream george.

3.) 09 Jul 2018 18:12:20
George, Abel Hernandez unlikely to sign for Leeds. He will be likely playing for CSK in Russia.

4.) 09 Jul 2018 20:57:50
It is Bige because if you don't you'll never make a dream come true

01 Jul 2018 10:18:11
Rumour going around my local tavern is we are looking to bring in a cb from overseas, a Bielsa target.

02 Jun 2018 00:10:16
At last he has gone let's hope we pick the right one now. Bielsa, Ranieri or some one of that pedigree. Hecky wrong place wrong time. Still learning himself and may be decent in 4 or 5 years. We need a coach/manager who can come in and make an impact and start playing good attacking football again. One who will not be too scared to mix things up. All our managers have been scared to lose the job and carried on with crap tactics. Bielsa may be just the man.

Oking I don’t have rose tinted glasses, it’s not negative given ones opinion

Looking at the weekend fixtures could do with W Brom beating SU, then us winning to open a six point gap. Then we hope Forest get something from their trip to Derby. Could do with that five point gap going into Villa game to take pressure off. I think Jan will be our make or break time. Over Xmas chasing pack have games against each other but in Jan would say they have the easier games and the chance to catch up. Would be great to go into Jan with a six point gap which would mean we would have to lose three more games than anyone else for anyone to go past us. Going to be interesting these next couple of months.

1.) 11 Dec 2018 10:48:36
Good post bige
Can’t really see why Brom and forest won’t to be honest.
Brom should def win.

2.) 11 Dec 2018 10:55:29
Someone's been swatting up. Good post BIGE.

3.) 11 Dec 2018 12:29:18
I was hoping for those 4 to draw.

4.) 11 Dec 2018 14:05:02
I agree Tory. Think the draws would suit as better at this time.

5.) 11 Dec 2018 16:05:21
SU draw would be ok too but can not see it ending in a draw to be honest and would rather SU lose momentum as Brom do well attacking but will let goals in as well. If Sheff win and are still up there at end of Jan then i am underestimating them,

6.) 12 Dec 2018 17:28:32
Lads, lads, don't get counting them there chickens! ! !

07 Dec 2018 10:12:27
Will we won't we. I reckon we will. Orta is putting plans in place now to strengthen in Jan. Bielsa said he did not expect not he did not want, his xmas list is already in. Also final say on recruitment will come from Radz/ Orta. Bielsa would be happy for a couple of additions in Jan as long as they are what he asks for. let's not forget whatever league we are in next season, Baker, Harrison, Brown, all have to go back.

1.) 07 Dec 2018 10:34:52
Is it just me or has the lucidity of our posts started to decline in line with the start of the Christmas Party Season! Or perhaps it’s the start of the panto season!

Will we or won’t we? “ No you can’t, oh yes we can! ”

What about the dark days of relegation and dodgy chairman “ it’s behind us, oh no it isn’t “!

Well at least it’s easy to know what we all want for Christmas! Leeds top of the table, KP in the England squad and the biggest, brightest, goryest, most painfulest, arse tattoo in the history of the world!

Merry Christmas everybody and an early thank you to the site and wonderful editors for giving us a safe and secure place for us to continue with our therapy!

2.) 07 Dec 2018 12:48:52
I think that if young Izzy impresses then Bub might tell Victor to get him in, Baker's quite welcome to go home IMHO, the jury is still out on Harrison for me.

3.) 07 Dec 2018 14:16:37
Al, I think Baker and Harrison, are both reasonable squad players to have . Seen them both around the under 23s and seem to have a professional attitude. Given their pedigree, they should be able to play a part for us and I’d expect to see them against QPR but not this Saturday. Brown is rumored to be on a 25k a week contract, so perhaps all we can hope for with him is a great performance until the summer to showcase his talents.

4.) 07 Dec 2018 14:22:41
I hoped we somebody better than Orta pulling strings. He's us.

5.) 07 Dec 2018 15:15:30
See what I mean about the Christmas party Government health warning, the consumption of excessive amounts of alcohol at Christmas can effect your ability to post coherent and entertaining posts on the Leeds banter site!

6.) 07 Dec 2018 15:23:26
The man that got us Bielsa, is useless? Hmmmm. 🤔🤔🤔.

7.) 07 Dec 2018 15:45:14
Well said Bright!

02 Dec 2018 13:57:11
Seen a lot of comments about how small our squad is but i am not sure it is. We have had more than our fair share of injuries and not just out for a game or two but out for months. We are still second which sort of shows we do have a strong squad. If Derby, SU, Middlesborough or Derby had suffered the long term losses we have i doubt if any of them would be in the top ten. Yes we are playing young ones but they have proved they are good enough. Huffer, Halme, Shackleton, Clarke have proved they can be counted upon. I would have no worries about Odour, Gotts, Stevens, Edmondson stepping up if needed. Look at the players who are waiting for games, Baker, Roberts, Harrison, players who some other sides would love in their team. So no i do not think we have a weak squad but yes i agree we could do with a couple of additions in Jan to get us ready for Premier league. Half our defensive line is missing but we are not leaking goals. Our only problem is scoring because although i always expect us to get a goal we should be scoring a lot more than we are. If the argument is we should not be relying on U23s then why are they there. It used to be called the reserve team changing it to Academy should not alter what is expected of them.

1.) 02 Dec 2018 14:28:39
Well said BIGE.

2.) 02 Dec 2018 14:30:44
Bige Makes a refreshing change in boasting a class manager and coaching team. When O'Leary was manager, he once made a remark that he so desired Lucas Radebe to remain with LUFC that he wanted his feet encased in cement. Whilst kinda silly from the Irishman, I'm of a similar view to the Argentine. He's a perfect fit for our club and the work he's currently doing is so good especially with the injuries it would've been considered close to impossible at the beginning of the season. As for January additions, in terms of the outfield, bring me that Gomez fella and I doubt anyone in this league could stop us. Given the rise of Halme and the recuperation prospects of Brown Bamford and Swiss Army Knife, that's all we need in George opinion.

3.) 02 Dec 2018 14:49:36
Agree 100 % above.
In Sheff game. The commentator said
Bielsa was world manager of the year with the argirs on 2000 and something.
The man is special. He has belief. And the players believe in him
Average players that have passion and unity. And are beating most.

01 Dec 2018 14:44:45
Massive result for us, playing against 12 men as well, 13 if you count the linesman who don't know what a straight line is. Left it late again but i always fancy us to score so no squeaky bum. Santa Claus is coming.

1.) 01 Dec 2018 15:05:51
Referee was an absolute joke.

28 Nov 2018 10:52:56
Well we left that till the last minute, that save will have done BPF the world of good. I know we only won because they were crap and we were lucky blah blah. Nearly half a team missing and we are still in second, that's the way i look at it. Good to see the young ones coming in and holding their own. Not a Dallas lover but that was his best game yet for me, got his tackles in and scored. Clarke will get fitter every game so not an issue with me. Alioski on the other hand is. Gifted player but can't seem to get his game together. Bailey had two shots to save which tells you a lot about the game. We were not as dominant as we usually are but were not in trouble until the pen. We got the 6 points i predicted from the last three games and we are still in second spot. Next three i think we are capable of winning all of them but reckon 7 points will keep us second or even top if Norwich slip up. A couple of signings in Jan with the addition of everyone being fit, which is a big ask they way our luck is going with injuries, and i can see us taking it to the wire in May. Onwards and upwards.

1.) 28 Nov 2018 13:06:42
Great summary BIGE! Totally agree on all fronts! 👍🏻.

2.) 28 Nov 2018 13:07:01
Its a cliche but you can only beat what is in front of you and we got the three points. Sheff Utd will be tough but a totally different type of game. really need to get some back from injury now as we are worryingly thin in reserve unless the kids can really step up. Good to see some younglings playing yesterday and still picking up the win.

3.) 28 Nov 2018 14:18:53
Yes BIGE can't see anybody running away with it this year. I can see a nailbiting finish for everything come May.

4.) 28 Nov 2018 19:02:14
If there's anyone coming in I think it will be a goalie, when the lads come back from injury any new signings will be warming the bench or playing U-23.

Yes think Roofe should score more but the way we play the attacking midfielders should be as well. Saiz Alioski should have more to their name as well. I am sure the goals will come and no doubt Bielsa will be working on that every training session. The ability is there but we need some one to flip the switch.

Well we need one, decent goalie on his day. He is not getting any game time so good move all round.

If Clarke goes its because the club are happy to sell him. Lads happy where he is, maybe different in summer if we do not go up.

Think Halme and Pontus will make a good team together. Diaz is a bit iffy for me and Nessy would be better suited to DM role. Struick not ready yet imo. What i saw of Paudi last season i thought he would step up this so surprised when he went out on loan, especially as he is not getting much game time.

Fact is Roofe still has 20 month to run on his contract. Next season will be his last if he does not get a new contract. Why would him and his agent want a contract now before knowing if we are in Premier league or not. A transfer is totally different and nothing to do with his contract.

Its interesting to see how the attacking element of the team get the headlines and guys like Stevens and Nicell who put the graft in to allow them to get forward do not get a mention poor lads. Fact is its same as first team in the effort the whole team put in and though its good to see guys like Bamford and Brown doing well and progressing its also good to see the togetherness and when the first teamers drop in for game time they are starting to respect the young lads. In the past some have treated it like a training session but now they know they have to be better than the guy they replace even in the U23s.
