Whilst Harrison and Firpo signing are the standout Leeds United headline news so far this summer window, but also contract extensions for Dallas and hopefully soon Bamford and KP equally important.

Now the icing on the cake is Kiko on the verge of leaving.

1.) 11 Jul 2021 14:45:11
Not sad Kiko has gone, just wish we had secured a replacement first. Could kill our season if we don't find anyone and Mesilier picks up a knock.

2.) 11 Jul 2021 17:20:46
From what I saw of Caprile for the 23’s, he is capable of stepping up in the same way Meslier did when Kiko got banned.

3.) 11 Jul 2021 17:31:15
Gummie. Can’t believe that orta and Bielsa hadn’t thought about the options should this happen. Angus Gunn was allegedly a target before joining Norwich. Can see someone of a similar ilk (keeper in mid 20s that can be improved by Bielsa) . Freddie Woodman perhaps?

4.) 11 Jul 2021 18:24:27
Think Caprile looks a good young keeper bright, just not prem ready (Not champ ready either if I'm honest) .
I'm sure they've looked Ali, just worry till someone's signed.

The formal announcements yesterday and today by Leeds United and Leeds City Council

that Leeds United will redevelop their Elland Road stadium to a 55,000 capacity are thoroughly welcome excellent news for LUFC and it's supporters :

1) This increased capacity will considerably/ greatly increase all sorts of revenue streams for Leeds United

2) The very long waiting lists for season tickets for Leeds fans will be remedied somewhat

3) The vast expertise and experience of stadium construction and redevelopment of Leeds United ( and San Francisco 49ers CEO) Vice President Paraag Marathe will ensure this redevelopment will definitely be a major success.

Ah it's ok EDD I see you have put my post on Leeds Rumours . although to be precise its fact rather than rumour😉.

{Ed001's Note - oh that explains it.}

2.) 17 Jun 2021 23:25:47
To think we struggled to get 15k a few years ago in L1.

3.) 18 Jun 2021 10:23:52
I was one of those 15k, and I count for ten vocally.

4.) 19 Jun 2021 18:39:03
Yeah me too but I'm not as vocal.

25 Jan 2021 12:57:09
Radz has announced that San Francisco 49ers have increased their stake in Leeds United to 37%.

Be interesting to know how many millions it took for 37% ownership.

Paraag Marathe of San Francisco 49ers is now Leeds United Vice President.

1.) 25 Jan 2021 20:16:17
Sounds like around £50m for the 22% they just bought. First 15% we where still in the champ so would have been a lot less. Probably somewhere between £60-£70m for the 37%.
Not bad for a team that cost him £47m 4 years ago.

01 Sep 2020 22:42:19
Watched a half hour of highlights
goals and assists of Rodrigo de Paul and he looks to be twice as good as Saiz . technically brilliant but with more pace, power and end product.

If Leeds can sign him it would be a major coup.

Still feel we need to sign another striker.

It now really looks like QSI are really NOW finally making their move on Leeds United now that Premier League status has been achieved.

Very recently the extremely reputable, credible and reliable Financial Times reported that QSI were moving in on Leeds United with a considerable investment share in Leeds United

And yesterday a very good freelance journalist Connor on his own live you tube show reported with photos from his sources Radz and QSI in meeting also yesterday at an alfresco restaurant in Corsica.

Also that the new Adidas Kit Deal is having Qatar Airways on the shirt with QSI firmly behind that. This would explain why there has been a considerable delay in actually revealing the new Adidas shirt to the fans.

QSI investment in Leeds United is happening folks ( very) sooner or later!

I tend to agree Baz, there are certain things that point to upcoming activity. I also read that we’ve made a signing, but are keeping it hushed until the kit launch is finalised. Fingers crossed!

2.) 06 Aug 2020 17:56:28
Fingers crossed indeed Brighty 👍.

3.) 06 Aug 2020 21:38:46
I’ll believe it when it happens.

4.) 06 Aug 2020 23:23:16

LUFC press release on injury news with no specific timescales, instead the reference of evolution of injury is probably in a way best as

1) it perhaps lessens the panic a tad amongst supporters and gives some hope of earlier than some media reported speculative time scales

And 2) by doing so it pleasingly probably annoys and frustrates some of the media hacks bar stewards who seek validation/ confirmation of their anti Leeds rhetoric

P. S. I do again sincerely hope that the management of LUFC feol now on strongly requests/ orders that :

the players do NOT slide celebrate nor jump (. on the backs) of players when scoring goals because the way Bamford has been injured is absolutely ridiculous infuriating and unprofessional to add to his unprofessional very unnecessary shirt removal which of course he knew would result in him getting a yellow card.

1.) 09 Dec 2021 17:31:22
Top post Mr Baz!

2.) 09 Dec 2021 17:46:08
Cheers Brighty appreciated

On the latter point

I always loved the classy, cool and injury free goal celebration of one of out best ever Mr Allan Clarke, hand raised in the air, followed by hand shakes from the other Revie Legends

Not keen on the OTT slides and rugby scrum goal celebrations we have now.

3.) 09 Dec 2021 23:47:15
Quite right. Footballers are not human beings and shouldn't be allowed to act as such. They should behave like robots and not be allowed to show any emotion.

4.) 10 Dec 2021 01:25:08

footballers are not robots of course but prefer and admire the cool understated celebrations such as Mo Salah

Bamford acted like he had scored the winner in the European Champions League rather than a mere equalizer against Brentford and his recklessness of injuring himself after just returning from injury, with as you know our small squad may be the tipping point for a relegation battle.

5.) 10 Dec 2021 05:27:57
I don’t think any manager can curb the celebrations of a player that has just scored a goal, obviously for Bamford he lost his senses for a moment as a lot of players do in that pure ecstatic moment.
He’ll probably feel a tad stupid for getting an injury whilst doing a knee slide which is something you see a lot of players do today, they’re are all a bit lit lemmings as Simon Jordon would say.
I remember Pablo doing one which went completely wrong, he didn’t slide and did an embarrassing face plant into to pitch.

Reading below a lot of mystic meg posters surprisingly stating between them that 4 teams in Norwich, Watford, Newcastle and Brentford are ' nailed on ' ( so at least one of those will DEFINITELY be wrong not nailed on lol)

Lads behave: Not one club at present is ' nailed on ' to be relegated, not even now Norwich having got rid of Farke.

So disagree with Richie, Axe and Brighty that Norwich were definitely wrong to sack Farke as it looked like the players no longer believed in him so a change of Manager was needed, it might not still work however in saving them but definitely worth trying: Farke would not get them up again either.

Disagree with Aus re Newcastle, they have the Jan window so definitely not nailed on for relegation

OP correct about Brentfords injury problems but far too early to say nailed on relegation

And disagree with Brighty that ' there is no way Leeds will get relegated ' :

as I said a few weeks back that will be determined by injuries to key players :.

we get Bamford back SOON, and hopefully avoid ( serious) injuries to Meslier and Raph in particular, but also KP, Llorente and others etc should be ok, touch wood.

Bazooka _Viduka

1.) 08 Nov 2021 19:55:19
Mystic Meg Posters, but you state Farke would not bring Norwich back up,

2.) 08 Nov 2021 20:36:33
Funny how after reading a first line of bollox you literally know who wrote the rest of it. Stand up Baz.

3.) 08 Nov 2021 20:40:39
Fair point Richie, probably so rather than nailed on though.

4.) 08 Nov 2021 21:02:50
Corky aka my PR manager lol
There there
Cheer up sweetie.

5.) 09 Nov 2021 14:46:03
TBH Baz, my posts were meant in jest! Nothing is nailed on at this stage of a season, nothing at all. Wishful thinking on my part fella!

6.) 09 Nov 2021 15:01:35
Indeed Brighty.

25 Oct 2021 18:52:37
Common sense and law prevails with there to be no police action over the Palace banner re the Barcodes Saudis.

Bazooka _Viduka

1.) 25 Oct 2021 19:40:13
Hopefully other fans will do the same, and maybe build on it - whilst making sure they don’t step over any lines that could give any excuses for police or football authorities to take any action against the fans or clubs involved

Probably unlikely to make much difference but it will help keep the matter in media focus. It would also demonstrate that the fans are not ok with sportswashing, even if the Premier League seems to have no problems with it and not to see any contradiction between the Saudi stance on women’s rights, gay rights, and indeed human rights in general and the messages of inclusivity etc supposedly supported by the football authorities.

20 Oct 2021 14:49:34
Bookies have Leeds to currently finish around 15th or 16th in EPL

For me from here on in with our small squad LUCK ( or bad luck) with injuries to key players will be THE DECISIVE FACTOR in determining much of where we finish in the league this season

We simply cannot rely on extensive squad strength because thanks to MB it doesn't really exist

I now predict Leeds finish 16th or 17th, if we start to have good luck and no more injuries to key players for most of the remainder of the season its feasible we might still finish as high as 12th or 13th.

Bazooka _Viduka

1.) 20 Oct 2021 15:16:59
Luck is a factor to a certain extent. Eg double deflection for West Ham equaliser. Another factor is decisions. Doubt us getting a penalty or opponent red all season.

2.) 20 Oct 2021 15:37:29
yep Whitesee indeed.

3.) 20 Oct 2021 15:56:10
I'd take 15th or 16th right now for sure.

4.) 20 Oct 2021 17:29:01
I’m on the same page Baz. But like you say, ish, we should not be relying luck, and the squad really does need greater depth.

5.) 20 Oct 2021 18:16:17
Indeed Brighty
Had been hoping for a successful, enjoyable, ( relatively) stress free season.

6.) 20 Oct 2021 19:14:33
This is exactly what myself and other posters were saying in summer and were lambasted for it and told we were 100% wrong. We needed to strengthen and the board made bad and hopelessly naive decisions.

7.) 20 Oct 2021 19:33:03
Baz ii think what you really must allow for is that although the club spent 50 Mil in the summer, two of those being Firpo and James, there was probably no more money to spend. I think O’Brian would have been reasonable cover in midfield and a at 11 Mil perhaps not so expensive, but it looks like the money was simply not available. I know everyone goes on about strengthening the squad and I do agree but we are an evolving club and the money I’m sure will come. When buying players you need to acquire ones that are at least the same or better than what you’ve got. That costs a lot of money which I believe Radz doesn’t have just yet.
I believe you and others are stressing out too soon, luck does play a very big part in football and we have had a large slice of misfortune with injuries over the last two seasons.
Our fortunes will change.

8.) 20 Oct 2021 22:28:24
Op if the lolly ain't there, why are we hearing about a 50k stadium? What's he going to build that with Jenga blocks?
Majority of clubs in the league in far worse states yet the money always come through . I would bet that come January if we are in the bottom 5 watch him " find " a few pound then .

9.) 21 Oct 2021 04:38:56
Baz Start of season I had us finishing 13th. Can see us strengthening in January.

10.) 21 Oct 2021 05:26:48
“Jenga blocks”. lol! Pmsl! 🤣🤣🤣.

Thankfully and quite rightly so LUFC never previously linked with mediocre Phil Jones

and hope this current rumour is nothing more than Clickbait.

Brighty that valuation of Rice was a hands off he is NOT for sale

Whereas Leeds are open to selling Raph (just 2 years left of contract) and time is moving on it needs resolution one way or another asap

Barca have been taking the urine for months and now Gonners. this bs needs to stop NOW

. whatever MINIMUM figure ( £60,65, 70 million Radz is happy enough with to consider should be indicated publicly and just as importantly a deadline date given for it to happen . no later

Deals below that minimum figure will NOT be responded to nor once deadline date has been reached.

This needs firm. action

How about Radz circumvent this tomfoolery by Gooners and Barcelona ( and actually insulting offers that may also insult Raphs ego)

RADZ come out with a definitive statement in press that £60 million is the minimum value for Raph (. and give deadline date for that offer to be made ) and that otherwise Raph will remain a Leeds player till next window at least.

A fair start but it will start to feel very underwhelming until/ unless 2 further players of real quality up front Striker (s) and (another) CAM are recruited,

Plus at least one other CM and a LB and an experienced GK.

Spot on Alf : much more ambition and far better players recruited last season could have led to Raph staying longer.
