We have been a complete shambles this season and most of last. Expectations were too high.
We need to understand that we are a small fish in a top heavy league where a few clubs have riches beyond imagination.
We should have been able to cope in the bottom half of the table with proper coaching by an experienced premier league manager and his team who had control of recruitment.
Look at the way Palace have been transformed, Villa.
Sack Orta and our manager now and realise most of the players who got us up are no longer good enough and most We brought in never were.
Go back to basics and get the best players we loaned out back and start building for next year. If Gelhardt had stayed and played he would have probably got double figures. Please get someone in now.

Transfermarkt suggests their expenditure on transfers in is around £162.5m - around £35m more than us - including £61.5m on Isak, £40m on Gordon and £32.5m on Botman.
We can’t afford to pay those kind of figures for one striker or one CB - and it’s not surprising if Isak and Botman are a cut above - though is Botman really 3 times better than Wöber. And come to that, is Gordon at £40m really almost 10 times better than Gnonto for whom we paid £4.5m.

No Richie, there are other significant differences. Firstly, they were promoted 3 seasons before us, so are that much further on in their squad evolution (only 3 of their current squad, Lascelles, Dummett and Ritchie were with them when promoted) and Prem experience. Secondly, it’s very much easier to recruit quality players when you can afford to offer higher wages, and pay higher transfer fees if necessary.

Feel let down again and hope it does not mean another relegation battle.
Main striker should have been number one target and sorted way before now.
We seem to chase shadows whilst other clubs identify and sign targets quickly. We are bigger and should offer bigger prospects than most other clubs but unable to. make it happen but why,?

I feel a long hard season again. We should have signed a top striker as a priority when season ended who had been identified for whichever division we were in this season. Bamford not prolific and not fully fit yet. Gelhardt must start surely?
We must beat teams like Wolves at home this season.

Admire your optimism but better players will be gone and most of the others have nothing left to give and no other club will want Lorente Koch Firpo James Rodrigo and not sure Manager is good enough. So sad.

Any one who will try something different to galvanise the team. We have no leadership on or off the pitch and relegation beckons.
