Blown it - not good enough - can see Wood Jannson and Monk all going.

GRABAR

1.) 17 Apr 2017 19:21:54
Yes it's with a heavy heart but your right. If we can't beat wolves then it shows were not good enough. We've been punching above our weight all season.

2.) 17 Apr 2017 21:33:29
add Bartley and Viera to the list

3.) 18 Apr 2017 19:48:58
Blobby hell. negativity astounds me. we can still do it, but if we don't, we won't capitulate end of season, we will build and strengthen. I believe that the bad times are gone, and we are now in the position to retain our best, and move forward, monkey magic and all. (barring ridiculous offers, of course. )

Rumours growing - Steve Clark is talking with LUFC about the vacancy - I think this would be a very very very good appointment 😃😃😃

GRABAR

1.) Hugely impressive if massimo can pull it off. Would be perfect for LUFC.

NO part-timers please.

NO huge gambles please.

NO left fielders please.

Just someone who knows what they're doing PLEASE

2.) This would be even better than getting rid of Ken. It would show that we're going to be serious contenders for next season.

3.) Doubt we would pay what he would demand

4.) Are you really really really really really sure?

5.) Totally agree with his growing support for Clarke but MC will decide no matter what. If todays reported signing come off this may sway the like Clarke to come (if asked)

IMO Steve Clarke has a vast amount of coaching skills and quality, experience gained from his Newcastle days with Gullit and Chelsea with Mourinho. Worked as assistant also under Zola at West Ham. Success with Liverpool coaching, First managerial position with West Brom is arguably considered a success - Manager of the month (once), finishing 8th.
6 major honours as a player, incl Chelsea player of the year 94.
MC, stick you're long haul hat on and grab Clark. Change you ways and take advice from those around you, You all work for our club.
He has the credentials its up to you to show your commitment to him, nice long contract maybe. Give us stability.
The others in the race are either unknown qualities or we have been there before, New blood and vision needed, after all 12/13/14 new players to deal with. So deal with it. MOT

6.) 30 Aug 2014 09:05:12
I'd go along with that, he's certainly got the 'been there and done that' t shirt. Depends on whether he fancies locking horns with MC tho' doesn't it?

7.) 30 Aug 2014 11:00:50
Step dad is a big west brom fan, says he took a good Hodgson side and killed it. Also what he explained sounded like our previous 2 coaches; predictable, poor tactics and subs doesn't sound positive to me but again will reserve judgement

8.) Great if we can pull it off IMO

Time for someone who knows what they are doing.

In cellino we trust! Lol

Lifelongleedsfan

9.) According to sources he held talks with MC on friday morning.

10.) If Steve Clarke is mad enough to take the job then I will be chuffed to bits.

I see it as MC's last chance to gain some creditability. If he takes the pis* out of Clarke and disrespects him, then he really will have problems attracting decent managers in future. 36 coaches in 22 years suggests M is rubbish at selecting & keeping coaches!

11.) According radio leeds MC said he has only spoken to managers/coaches agents so far and reckons he has been inundated with calls from agents over the vacant job.

12.) Bic
MC might have chosen 30 great coaches I think its probably that they tried to question his decisions and ethics and MC don't like being told what to do.

Only my opinion mate but I find it hard to believe you can hire 30 coaches and not find a decent one ;)

13.) A proper appointment this time if it happens, don't get to coach with mourinho if your if your no good, he was unlucky to lose his job at west brom MOT

14.) Give Redders a big chance

15.) This could be Redfearn's time. Knows the youth -and they are our biggest asset; and at the same time is positive about integrating the Italians, and is fully aware of all the problems that have riddled our club in recent times. Think MC may just bide his time and see how the next couple of matches under Redders go before deciding.

16.) Would much rather Redfearn continues his good work with the youth setup. Give him the managers job and you potentially end up with him sacked in a few months. That would be a loss, in my opinion.

Don’t get me wrong I am happy with the transfer activity thus far, good quality coming in and in the main deadwood going out.

BUT when there is talk of investment and a potential £20m transfer kitty am I the only one thinking that the spending over the Radz era is basically nothing (I know there are wages to take account of) BUT this year so far £10m IN Douglas and Bamford and £7-9m OUT Vieira, Antonsson, Gomes and Wieldweld - Similar pattern in previous seasons incomings balanced by the sales of Wood, Taylor, Byram, Cook to mention a few

Good financial management - YES
Ambitious in terms of promotion -?

GRABAR

1.) 01 Aug 2018 12:27:54
The window isn't shut yet. I have a feeling we will have a couple more people come in still.

2.) 01 Aug 2018 12:47:27
Surely its just sensible ownership, we have sold rubbish players and signed brilliant championship players for the same amount of money? Its got nothing to do with Ambition. Look at derby signed loads players thinking they can cash in on there most expensive player and its back fired. if they don't offload they could be in trouble this time next year.

Who cares where the money comes from we are signing better quality than ever have so yes the ambition is there.

3.) 01 Aug 2018 13:01:01
Can’t argue and that’s pretty much what I am saying
Happy that the incomings are unquestionably of a better quality than that being shipped out

I would add that the appointment of Bielsa is a massive positive (It may take a bit of time but I for one love the thought of the type of football we may witness at ER)

My Point was with the talk of a transfer kitty of @ £20m being available, we still have nearly all of this available when balancing the books so a few further additions now may be the difference if our ambition is the PL (which would be very nice)

4.) 01 Aug 2018 13:25:20
I got where you were coming from first time Grabar, don't forget there's another week or so to spend the money tho ;)

5.) 01 Aug 2018 13:38:49
Ultimately, the club is in a better position now, than it did in april, in april we had heckingbottom, and okane starting most weeks.
now we have an unbelievably high profile manager, a new look to the team, a formation that's never been used in England, okane barely getting games for the 23's, klich and baker in to replace him, a good loan keeper in blackman, better than wiedwald, Harrison, a number 9 in bamford, a new store which looks great, no sight of ekuban, sacko gone, very little dead wood now. a left back in douglas, chasing city players on loan, good links, new investors, if you don't call that a successful summer then you're just pessimistic.

6.) 01 Aug 2018 14:15:05
I've been saying it since Noah was a boy. Get in quality, experienced Championship guys who have done it already, mix in some Ppremiership guys starting to drop down and a great coach. NOT 2nd rate Spanish, Italian other European no-hopers but because they don't speak English as a 1st language they must be our saviours, and God help us a Japanese player plonker.
This is simple sense. get to the Premiership, buy it some foreign guys not on the "get lost" book as we did this month, more better Premiership players, establish oneself in the league again, another small clear out and new better again and we move up. look at Burnley.
This is NOT rocket science. we fail because we think too big, and we think need the foreign talent now just like the big boys and we are not that YET.

7.) 01 Aug 2018 14:21:27
Part 2 . youngsters. Any team like us needs great talented talent coming through, as we do. they need blooded as the season progresses, cup competitions and easier home Championship matches but not the whole 90 mins.
By the end of the season we're in the top 6 with motivated home talent through the ranks dying to play for us in the Premiership.

That's my take. and no more managers who get the job by powerpoint or the likes of Sackingbottom prancing up and down the touchline line he had a clue. he doesn't.

How long is it going to take AR to realise that he has F**ked up big style in appointing Hekmebottom - He’s actually beginning to make Hockaday look half decent Yes I know Orta has a lot to answer for but Heckingbottom is absolutely “Clueless”

GRABAR

07 Apr 2018 18:33:44
Why is Heckingbottom still here ?

GRABAR

1.) 07 Apr 2018 18:44:03
Because we have to "give him a chance" apparently.

2.) 07 Apr 2018 19:12:42
Why is Orta still here

3.) 07 Apr 2018 19:26:24
Because he's a chancer

4.) 07 Apr 2018 19:26:34
Ditto

5.) 07 Apr 2018 19:28:13
Good point well made !

6.) 07 Apr 2018 19:31:30
Radz is the common denominator in all these appointments why is he still here

7.) 07 Apr 2018 19:34:44
Because he’s got the money I guess 😬

8.) 07 Apr 2018 20:31:33
What money?

9.) 08 Apr 2018 10:08:01
OK more money than any of the others, maybe not enough money

17 Mar 2018 17:04:54
We have to get rid of Hikupmebottom the blokes out of his depth, yes we have signed some s#! te but 1 lucky win since his arrival speaks volumes for his ability - His record at Barnsley wasn’t that different.

GRABAR

Sadly have to agree, but is he actually in charge. Three names to consider all highly improbable but Laurent Blanc, Thomas Tuchel or Marco Silva all are available

GRABAR

1.) 03 Feb 2018 16:21:37
I hear Gordon Ramsey is available lol

Think Hunts apperances are limited, sign Attenucci and they will be over - just need to find someone to off load him to!

Thought we were getting rid of "deadwood" not bringing it in - his record as a striker is worse than Paynter

Heckingbottom has had time to get his ideas across and has succeeded, that’s why we are so s#ite now. We won’t pick up another point this season let alone a win the guys less a manager than Hockaday
