What would be a show of good intent this transfer window? In my opinion it would be getting the business done, whatever it may be, early. This would indicate that they (Leeds management team) are taking things serously; that they have been thinking hard about already it and are going to give Bub the time to graft the newcomers successfully into the existing squad.

1.) 01 Jan 2019 12:33:23
Pope keeper from Burnley
Gary Cahill on loan not getting games at Chelsea
Jarrod Bowen
Bradley Dack
Moise keen

That would represent a good transfer window.

That's 2 refs that will be in trouble witH the EFL now. One for giving a penalty last week and one for not awarding one today. They will run out of officials elligible for taking the field in the Championship soon if these men in black don't learn what their rules are in relation to Leeds. Long may it continue. MOT.

1.) 16 Dec 2018 09:19:06
I don’t think it was a penalty.
I thought he stubbed his foot on turf.

2.) 16 Dec 2018 11:38:15
I agree Saiz!

3.) 16 Dec 2018 17:51:12
That’s spooky I meant to say Auz, autocorrect!

4.) 16 Dec 2018 21:05:30
On no! Aus is really Saiz.

5.) 16 Dec 2018 22:55:24
I’ve never seen them together!

6.) 18 Dec 2018 14:23:40
Ha ha. Saiz wishes.

I know we are all getting frustrated because our hope of landing the big one have all been frustrated - so far, Let's take stock against lats year:

1) Goalkeeper - Last year we had 2 clowns. This year 2 good ones.

2) Defense - Ayling is back. We missed him big time when he was injured and we have Pearce full time in the squad. Maybe Pearce won't pleay as a true defender but otherwise we are none the worse and better with Ayling on the Pitch.

3) Midfield - Baker in and Okane nowhere near the grass. Massive improvement. Klich looks like he might come right as well.

4) Attack - Maybe no additions - yet. BUT Lasogga - gone. Grot - gone. Ekuban - gone. An improvement already.

5) Coach - Big improvement. With imptovements still possible I am more hopeful than despondent.

1.) 20 Jul 2018 00:16:05
Liking the positivity Kiwi, and like you say, not many additions "yet"! There's still time.

2.) 20 Jul 2018 09:06:06
I like this post Kiwi. We have a starting XI stronger than last year and so far, as you say, we have got rid of some players not up to the grade. Now with the addition of a couple (or 3) purchases and a similar number of loans we will be in good shape (well on paper) . I am not one of those who is in despair as I still think there are many players out there who are/ will be available and we do not need to panic and be held to ransom. If they WANT to come to Leeds then great, if not then why overpay them. MOT.

3.) 20 Jul 2018 20:03:23
Careful boys, the doom and gloomers will be chasing you out of town ;)

28 Apr 2018 23:22:58
With so many exciting young'uns he could have blooded and with nothing to lose - why didn't he. PH complains about the team's attitude but then notably leaves out the very players he can be sure to be excited and committed. There can only be one reason for this. Despite PH's comments to the contrary, he must be in fear for hisjob so resorted to fielding what he considers to be his best team in the hope that picking up a win or two will save him. Short term, self interested thinking adds nothing to the development of the team, the players or the team culture.

Hoping the acquisition of a few key players in the summer will turn the tide displays the same short term, wishful thinking exhibited by PH this weekend and will bring about the same results. Give a champion team over a team of champions every time. Sorry PH, but it is time to go. We need someone with more vision and self belief to move us forward.

1.) 29 Apr 2018 02:58:43
Would you come to this shambles if you was a player kiwi?

2.) 30 Apr 2018 14:51:07
Agreed Martyn, just look at the mess we are in, Leeds on the fall again just goes to show what a shambles this lot are and we still got 4 season to go before he will sale, radz please get out and take the 🤡 with you.

17 Mar 2018 15:01:02
Where is Saiz today?

1.) 17 Mar 2018 17:00:46
Part of his contract; doesn't play in the snow.

The point a lot of the pundits, and FF specifically, are missing out is that Bielsa's genius doesn't lie in the collation of the information for analysis. Anyone can replicate this if they throw enough man hours at it. The key, and the difference Bub brings to the table, is knowing what to do with it.
FF confronted with this depth of detail would immediately suffer from paralysis by analysis Bielsa, on the other hand, knows how to separate the wheat from the chaff He has the ability to break down hour upon hour of tedious football viewing into 15 minute bite sized chunks the players can understand and integrate into their own individual match day game plans
If FF could comprehend this he would realise that someone looking in on a training run is no big deal. Instead he thinks having information magically makes it useable. It doesn't. The reason other managers don't go to the same lengths of analysis as Bub is because they can't utilise it all. The reason Bielsa does is because he can.

1.) 18 Jan 2019 23:20:23
Sly sports are to blame for a lot of this. Their stirring the couldren by asking everyone who they interview their opinion on it. I'm sick of hearing from all these self appointed morality inspectors because their a so squeaky clean and never done anything wrong. Heard Keith the children's presenter andrews has changed his mind on leeds now and says he actually likes us now. TURNCOAT.

2.) 18 Jan 2019 20:35:52
The Keith Andrews bit true or what?!

3.) 18 Jan 2019 21:03:42
I agree Martyn, Sky are stirrers.

4.) 18 Jan 2019 21:07:01
What Martyn? Where did you see that? He is a right, better not say what I really think of him.

5.) 18 Jan 2019 21:18:52
Yes cork I read it on sly news channel. He will realise he has to walk through the car park often so changed his time rapid.

6.) 18 Jan 2019 23:09:09
Jim 'The Stirrer' White is as guilty as any, never stopped banging on about it. Bet he didn't harp on about his beloved Rangers when they were up to no good with their finances!

7.) 18 Jan 2019 23:10:00
Agree Martyn, and great opening post too Kiwi!
Sky are just playing the marketing game! We’ve been on their channels more than 90% of teams in the PL! We are their cash cow, and they are playing a game aimed at making more money for themselves. What is more disgusting, is that most of the money they make from us is ploughed into the PL teams! But what do the FA do? Investigate a man at a fence on a path, while their pockets get lined by corporate cash from an organisation that doesn’t give a plop for the game, just profit. But hey, that’s business.

8.) 19 Jan 2019 00:08:06
Cash cow? Not quite sure about that one as yet Bright.

9.) 19 Jan 2019 02:04:25
He's right Corky, we're on S*y more than about any other team in the country and last season ended up with £7.6M whereas PL failures got relegated with over £95M so from that point of view, and bearing in mind Leeds attract over 400,000 viewers, we are a cash cow for them.

17 Jan 2019 20:08:07
You just have to love Bub. He's truly the gift that keeps on giving. Q-What was FF's major complaint about Leeds' spying? A- That we could see if certain players were training. That we would be able to ascertain what team they would field for the upcoming match. This would give us an unfair advantage.
What is Bub's response. This week he names the team 2 days early. Ba-Bam! . Take that FF (and the EFL)

1.) 17 Jan 2019 21:57:51
So true, and bleedin hilarious as well. He doesn’t just know how to play the game, but also how to “play the game! ”.

2.) 18 Jan 2019 15:18:04
He's certainly played Fat Frank eh? :)

17 Jan 2019 15:24:41
C'mon. Who wouldn't love to see Bub on his bucket this weekend sporting a Leeds jersey with the number 007 on the back?

17 Jan 2019 09:39:01
Amongst his other tall tales FF now tells us that Bub's presentation was nothing special. It was par for the course and Derby produce the equal of it regularly. Little boy who cries wolf?

1.) 17 Jan 2019 09:53:02
A few days ago Lampard claimed he spent "a few hours" watching Leeds games. Well done Frank! Bielsa's dossiers take 4 hours to write up before his team spend countless hours dissecting the information in preparation for a game. That is the difference between a coach who has worked to where he is now in the game and someone who is still dining out on his playing career. Listen and learn Frank, your getting a education that might stand you in good stead.

2.) 17 Jan 2019 10:28:32
Mean't to say that Bielsa's team spend 4 hours per game, so for Derby they spent circa 300 hours preparing against Lampard's 15 hours. The difference told on the pitch.

3.) 17 Jan 2019 13:34:19
Can fof become part of new dictionary?

4.) 17 Jan 2019 15:16:37
Frank has been schooled but he's too slow to realise it.

5.) 17 Jan 2019 17:44:26
Can't be that slow, he's a public school wallah, meh.

17 Jan 2019 09:34:44
Ok. If you were a young up and comer looking for a base to launch from, what would you be looking for in a club. How about
a) A club likely to be playing EPL in the coming season
b) A club with a sound financial base
c) A prestigious club with a proud and respected history
d) A club currently playing exciting and expansive football.
e) A club you have a chance of getting game time with.
f) A club with a proven track record of taking young talent, polishing it and displying it to the world for all to see
g) A club that has one of the best, loudest and most supportive fan bases
h) A club that can offer exposure to one of THE world's leading managers

or someone else.

1.) 17 Jan 2019 10:08:56
Err, give me a second to think about it Kiwi.
Well said, hope all young kids (O'Dowda) read that. It's a no brainer. I have seen the future and it is White!

We used to sarcastically remark that an Orta signing was "One for the future" meaning they were of no use now and we could just hope that they may come good some time in the never never. Now we can remark that they are "One for the future" meaning that we can use them now but they will still be up to the mark once we achieve promotion.

Looks like the plan may be to take BPF back to the under 23s. There he can gain playing time and learn better than sitting on the bench. We all can see that though he has fought the good fight valiantly, he is not quite there yet. But he is yound, talented and strong of mind. He won't be discarded as such but given the time to gain more experience and mature and grow as a keeper. His time will come again.

Love your reports on the under 23 games Spanish. Thanks for these and please keep them coming. I'm either getting old or dead lazy because I'm finding the trip to see these myself a bit burdensome. But I really do enjoy getting the inside juice on how the players are going.

Uncle Google tells me that world rankings for keepers has Courtois at 2 and Navas at 4. This being the case Casilla can be no. 3 at his club but still a VERY good man in goal.

Really can't believe that any club thought that £3m would do the job. The level of confidence their supporters have in their club leadership decision making must be rock bottom.
