I know we are all getting frustrated because our hope of landing the big one have all been frustrated - so far, Let's take stock against lats year:

1) Goalkeeper - Last year we had 2 clowns. This year 2 good ones.

2) Defense - Ayling is back. We missed him big time when he was injured and we have Pearce full time in the squad. Maybe Pearce won't pleay as a true defender but otherwise we are none the worse and better with Ayling on the Pitch.

3) Midfield - Baker in and Okane nowhere near the grass. Massive improvement. Klich looks like he might come right as well.

4) Attack - Maybe no additions - yet. BUT Lasogga - gone. Grot - gone. Ekuban - gone. An improvement already.

5) Coach - Big improvement. With imptovements still possible I am more hopeful than despondent.

Liking the positivity Kiwi, and like you say, not many additions "yet"! There's still time.

2.) 20 Jul 2018 09:06:06
I like this post Kiwi. We have a starting XI stronger than last year and so far, as you say, we have got rid of some players not up to the grade. Now with the addition of a couple (or 3) purchases and a similar number of loans we will be in good shape (well on paper) . I am not one of those who is in despair as I still think there are many players out there who are/ will be available and we do not need to panic and be held to ransom. If they WANT to come to Leeds then great, if not then why overpay them. MOT.

3.) 20 Jul 2018 20:03:23
Careful boys, the doom and gloomers will be chasing you out of town ;)

28 Apr 2018 23:22:58
With so many exciting young'uns he could have blooded and with nothing to lose - why didn't he. PH complains about the team's attitude but then notably leaves out the very players he can be sure to be excited and committed. There can only be one reason for this. Despite PH's comments to the contrary, he must be in fear for hisjob so resorted to fielding what he considers to be his best team in the hope that picking up a win or two will save him. Short term, self interested thinking adds nothing to the development of the team, the players or the team culture.

Hoping the acquisition of a few key players in the summer will turn the tide displays the same short term, wishful thinking exhibited by PH this weekend and will bring about the same results. Give a champion team over a team of champions every time. Sorry PH, but it is time to go. We need someone with more vision and self belief to move us forward.

1.) 29 Apr 2018 02:58:43
Would you come to this shambles if you was a player kiwi?

2.) 30 Apr 2018 14:51:07
Agreed Martyn, just look at the mess we are in, Leeds on the fall again just goes to show what a shambles this lot are and we still got 4 season to go before he will sale, radz please get out and take the 🤡 with you.

17 Mar 2018 15:01:02
Where is Saiz today?

1.) 17 Mar 2018 17:00:46
Part of his contract; doesn't play in the snow.

21 Feb 2018 23:36:33
I know many on here are criticising RV but, to be fair, when was the last time he kicked a ball in anger. The intensity of the training paddock is a long way from that of match day. Give him some time and he will regain form and confidence.

1.) 22 Feb 2018 05:50:33
Totally agree Kiwi. Boy has class. He's probably carrying a niggle.

2.) 22 Feb 2018 06:48:30
He was scared of putting a foot in after he was booked.

3.) 22 Feb 2018 08:15:35
He was also up against the best central midfielder in the league, in Tom Huddlestone tbf.

4.) 22 Feb 2018 10:28:21
you kidding, best central midfielder. wow that's some statement have you not seen that neves bloke at wolves he's sheer class. howson, pearson, grujic, woods, brownhill, cairney are all better central midfielders than tom huddlestoen all he can do is ping a passand throw his weight about

5.) 22 Feb 2018 12:19:18
And none of Them play for us

6.) 22 Feb 2018 16:22:51
Samo. The guy at Wolves, yes, but Howson? and the others? Nah!

21 Feb 2018 23:32:58
At the start of the season Felix was pants. They dropped him, did some work with and he came back with a different outlook. He attacked the ball, was positive and began to show some promise. Now he's lost it again.

He flaps at the ball if it is anywhere near him but in reality plays with the first option being to stay on his line away from any danger and leave the heavy lifting for the defence. In my opinion, from here he will continue to draw back into his shell and will only get worse. Best to drop him now and replace with whoever we have. We have nothing to lose.

1.) 22 Feb 2018 08:16:51
But we simply have no one else? Lonners, BPF? No better I'm afraid.

2.) 22 Feb 2018 18:03:38
The problem is though even when he doesn't make errors you can see it in the defensive players now - they expect those errors. Both goals yesterday came because of uncertainty. The equaliser definitely in the last minute most of all. The corner could have been avoided if there was a shout and confidence in the keeper. It happened two or three other times for the first goal too and another needless corner because Forshaw wasn't sure.

Guarantee every opposition scout is saying put the ball down Wiedwald's throat. He'll flap and give at least one goal every time. Brightwhite, is it fair to say that BPF is better or worse? He's played only one senior game so far 1-1 vs QPR and he played fine on the day if i recall (beaten by a penalty) i'd like to see him given a chance as I believe we can't make the play-offs.

Would at least let us know where we stand with all three senior keepers going into summer window. Lonergan despite his mistakes can at least command his box. Also has history of being a good goalkeeper. A poor spell of form can be temporary for Lonners but in Wiedwald's case i think his class is league 1.

3.) 24 Feb 2018 15:11:10
Why not give BPF a chance: what have we/he got to loose?

Good Start. Need a second.

1.) 24 Oct 2018 21:10:30
Get in Coops!

2.) 24 Oct 2018 21:12:59
That's better and go The Rams. Looks like we will be back where we belong.

3.) 24 Oct 2018 22:25:40
WBA were woeful but beware the rams and canaries.

20 Sep 2018 21:29:53
A little disappointed that the injured are still that for this weekend but I guess it was expected. Although I am starting to wonder if ER doesn't stand for Elland Road but rather Emergency Room. Nevertheless Monk's teams continue to show the same inability to produce goals that we did during his time here. I can't see them breaching our defense and am sure we can find a way to get past theirs. Can't see their first win being our first loss. I am looking forward to an exciting fast paced victory on Sunday morning.

15 Sep 2018 22:14:50
Well, the game was not on the Tele today so I didn't get to see it. I followed the commentary on BBC but it's difficult to form an accurate picture from that. Although the stats tended to favour us I admit to being somewhat nervous right up until Jacko did his thing. So, tell me, people from Bielsaland, how did we go? Who was up to the task and who has a way to go? Is Roberts the answer? Do we give him time to find his boots or do we need to turn to the young guns?

1.) 15 Sep 2018 22:48:06
Game on iptv 3pm.

2.) 16 Sep 2018 01:52:23
If only I could get that here.

13 Sep 2018 20:31:17
I, for one, agree with Bub not dipping into the free transfer market. Even though we are now way past stretched, it would simply take too long for a new addition to gain the fitness required and to come up to speed with the understanding needed for Bielsaball. It is what it is and we now have to show our faith in Bub and what he has been doing with the whole squad.

1.) 13 Sep 2018 21:47:53
I think the important thing is that he has a clear plan, players know where they are in the pecking order and what’s expected of them. We are definitely testing the plan and it would be nice to get out of Millwall without any more injuries! Were going to see just how good the plan, the b teamers and the youngsters are, and that’s no bad thing either.

2.) 14 Sep 2018 13:31:53
yep, its sink or swim.

3.) 14 Sep 2018 20:45:38
Bielsball has to be used more. Well done Kiwi. 10/ 10.

30 Aug 2018 20:12:28
Should be an interesting clash of styles tomorrow. We will be playing fast and furious with crisp clean passes on the green and then pullis's lads will simply hoof it back over the top for us to start over again.
I hope that, not only for us, but for football fans across the globe, class wins out.

1.) 30 Aug 2018 20:53:59
They might just kick us off the park. Which is our downfall no matter how well we play we can be pushed around. This was the Achilles heel last season.

2.) 30 Aug 2018 21:11:14
Kiwi don’t underestimate Pullis’ style of football. His teams play to counteract his opponents but necessarily to play long balls. He’s a smart operator but hopefully Bielsa will have him.
Still I say 3-0!

3.) 30 Aug 2018 21:43:58
I hope you are right Corky, but I think it might be a bit tougher than that. Hope we get off to a good start and really go for it. The earlier we get a goal, the sooner sides have to change their approach and that gives us more space to work in. I think it will be a cracking night.

4.) 30 Aug 2018 22:27:23
I’m bricking it! Nervous about the game for sure.

5.) 31 Aug 2018 00:15:29
Cork, I definitely don't understand the Pullis's. He kept a very ordinary Stike City in the premiership for a very long time. You can't achieve that without some nous. He knows well how to play his style of football. I just don't like it is all.

6.) 31 Aug 2018 03:42:32
This Kiwi is nervous too. Picking a 2-1 win for us.

7.) 31 Aug 2018 05:47:24
My post should have said underestimate not understand. Stupid auto correct.
I have faith in Bielsa. We may field the same team and run the same tactics but Byb will have specific tweaks and plays worked out.
It will be a hard game, in many senses of the word, but we will prevail.

8.) 31 Aug 2018 05:49:56
Kiwi _ where do you reside?

9.) 31 Aug 2018 09:56:54
I will go with 2=1 to us as well. Back four will need to be alert tonight, wish Phillips had been rested for cup game but have faith in Bielsa.

10.) 31 Aug 2018 10:36:14
I’m going 3-1.
Gotta watch friend. Always has good game against us.
Put Pontus on him.
Think they will come at us tbh. Which will leave gaps.

11.) 31 Aug 2018 14:59:16
Got to start strong and fast. Can’t give them the first 20 minutes like we gave Norwich or they will punish us. Nervous but cautiously optimistic. 2-0. C’MON!

12.) 31 Aug 2018 16:24:08
Agree, great to get a goal quickly, makes it a lot harder for them and creates more space for us.

It did seem somewhat clogged Whiteman. Glad for the point in the end. I feel it wouldn't have been forthcoming last year.

Worth noting that this is not the same Milwall we came unstuck against last year. We have the second best goals against in the comp and Milwall are leaking like a sieve. Even without our frontrunners I think I believe can take this.

Agree with your comments regarding Cooper. Against the better teams he shows up as a liability. To be fair he didn't make any major gaffs but my heart beats faster every time he's involved.

Point noted Martyn. There is an oldsaying that if you can't say anything positive don't say anything at all. Heck is showing NR how it is done.

Another game with 70+% possession but not only the reward to reflect this. We have some things on point but still some work to do on the train field. I would rather be in the position we are of leading the play but still to learn how to finish than still learning how to get the ball and control it. We are not there yet but are definitely still in the race. For the sake of my sanity alone I chose to hope and believe in Bielsa. MOT.

This season was always going to be a bumpy ride but it's not yet over and I am sure has thrills yet to provide. We can still do this.

His age was always going to mean lack of experience. He will learn and with a good trainer will grow. He has massive potential and I believe the confidence to move past the setbacks he has faced. Could end up a champion one day and if so I hope he achieves this with a Leeds badge on his shirt. The key question is how do we go about putting the sparkle in this gem and can we afford to pay the price as we do so. Also, how do we know Blacman Will fare any better. He hardly has a truck load of first team experience to fall back on either.

BPT is good. So too, I think, Will be Blackman when put to the test but I feel our patience will be sorely tested during the ride.
