Sam Allardyce to take Kevin Nolan to Sunderland, so we've missed out badly there imo.

Made in Leeds

1.) 11 Oct 2015 17:01:45
Not at all imo

2.) 11 Oct 2015 21:00:52
No big loss there!

3.) 14 Oct 2015 03:30:57
He'll be grooming him for an Assistant Manager. Doing him a favour. In any event we are not requiring experience in midfield but pace. Nolan is not pace. Far from it.

4.) 16 oct 2015 03:36:07
nolan is experience and i highly doubt he'd ask for much money in the twilight of his career so to take a player like that could be quite beneficial. Especially to a cook or mowatt. Just that old head in the dressing room at half time whose been there and done it to put a calmer on things or give them a lift. At minute it's just bamba and maybe his voice has already started to become an irritation lol

Beradi has signed an extension to his contract so looks like bye bye Sam. Gutted, I hoped he would reclaim the RB position.

Made in Leeds

1.) 21 Sep 2015 13:47:48
Why does this mean the end of Sam? Not saying he won't go, indeed its seeming more and more likely, but what has Berardi got to do with it? I would expect any team to have a left back, a right back and someone who can cover both (or two players and one each) so its in our best interest to keep both. Rosler is playing him as a winger anyway so his biggest worry has to be Botaka plus Berardi has earned an extension on merit since the new year, even if Byram reverted back to RB I don't think he pushes him out so why would we let our form right back leave for free in the summer? All we have done is sign one of our best players to a longer contract, I'm anything but gutted.

2.) 21 Sep 2015 15:36:17
Made in

Would you rather we let Gaetano go on a Bosman as well as Byram thus ensuring our recognized right back for next season is Scott Wooten?

Byram is going anyway. He will be gone after the 3rd round of FA Cup. Guaranteed.

3.) 21 Sep 2015 15:53:46
Agree Gummie, makes sense to have cover in all positions and Berardi has been excellent this season so it would have been wrong to run his contract down. As you say nowt to do with SB, he will go mind prob in Jan so at least we will get a higher fee than if left to a tribunal in the summer.

Looks like signing Will B from sunderland so again that is a positive, more options for Uwe, for me the club has done everything realistically possible to give Uwe a decent squad.

Onwards and upwards

4.) 21 Sep 2015 17:09:31
Byram will not knock berradi out of the team and our defence is far from leaky we just have very few options as an out ball in midfield buckley is class and will keep the ball at the right end mk dons brentford paggered us because they have decent wide men and central our midfield needs that quality with dallas buckley and hopfully botaka will bring us and barring in mind how well we have done playing at 50% every game bar Burnley derby Can't wait too see what 100% is like think byrams going in jan saying this these next 3 i'd take 4pts boro Birmingham Brighton WOW!Guna be a real test lufc4life

5.) 21 Sep 2015 17:48:33
I personally think Byram hasn't been up for it this season.
Early days but he looks lost, whether that's due to playing outta his favoured RB position only he knows!
If Swansea or others want him in January then shows us the money

6.) 21 Sep 2015 19:30:11

Readers new boss. yippee

Made in Leeds

1.) 25 Oct 2014 18:57:15
No no no we don't want Neil getting the sack in a month's time

2.) I don't you will be shouting yippee in a few weeks time. Redders good with the academy and did well to get the results he did but he could have easily lost all those games. I don't think redders will stay the distance and we would then probably lose a good academy coach.
We could have won today. Mowatt should have made it 2-0 and Darko made a mistake putting Morison out wide. He didn't understand that Morison was danderous on the right because he was making runs from the centre. Moving him there was a basic error. I would hope, but should know better, that MC should have learnt that an experienced manager should be brought in and allowed to manage. MC should stick to being president. Some hope!

3.) The academy is thebiggest loser today we need a experienced. Championship coach

4.) I keep saying it but NR has a dreadful record. Worse than Dave Hockaday and less experience. can't believe people are so happy to have a guy with 24% win ratio as coach. I really hope I will be eating my words but nobody seems to be thinking with their head everyone seems caught in the romance of it. He has had 9 games in charge of a championship side in total. He has only looked after 67 games in his life omfg this has car crash all over it. Really hope I am wrong.

5.) Your right Spain and we was more than a little lucky to win the ones we did under him as the stats showed we were out played. From what I've read he's only been put in as caretaker again anyway but I really wish we would dump this coach concept and revert back to a manager and a good experienced one at that but who would come now? It saddens me but MC is quickly making it a no go zone for any manager/coach worth there salt.

6.) 26 Oct 2014 10:44:44
yes but how can someone manage when some players are on the team sheet all the time 6 players play ever week never been dropped one didn't cause sent off did mc say come and you'll always play ok three I wouldn't drop but other yes and how can a new manager come in when half the team is already picked

7.) Mass is making leeds a circus. who in their right mind would manage us.

8.) Omg, give him a chance, he's been written off before he even starts, the football we played and results we got we're the best this season & without them we'd be in the brown stuff. I agree he'll do well to match the points ratio he got before, but it was correct for darko to go.

Why are we signing another midfielder. Surely CB and striker are our weakest areas. Puzzled.

Made in Leeds

1.) 22 Jan 2016 11:42:56
Can't agree more.
Sloth, bianchi, mowett, Cook, bridcutt, adayemi, Murphy,
all vying for 2 centre midfield spots, why another?
We need a new keeper, centre back and a striker surely a priority.

2.) 22 Jan 2016 12:13:11
Don't agree. The defence is under too much pressure and the forward (s) doesn't get any quality ball . Result Conceding at the back when pressurised for too long and we don't score enough because we don't create enough chances. Answer strengthen mid field and generate more creativity and more chances. That's step one. Beradi comes back. Coyle and Wooton back ups. Step two. Decent Goal scorer. Step three: A commanding centre back who is at least as comfortable on the ball as Belusci and is quick and nimble when the ball is on the deck. Another Bamba/ Cooper type is the last thing we want. A better (ie more reliable) Belusci to complement Cooper would be good. Replace Cooper, who is neither quick nor nimble, at some stage in the future would be a further development. Another goal keeper anytime soon to compete for the shirt with Silvestre who will be a very good keeper in time.

3.) 22 Jan 2016 12:14:21
Those mid fielders are not good enough.

4.) 22 Jan 2016 12:40:55
Most of those midfielders are not that good, this guy from Brentford will add steel which we don't have apart from Bridcut.

Only midfielders who I rate are Cook (but needs help) Bridcut, Dallas, Muzy and Mowett (but he needs help as well as he is just not mobile/ quick and can't tackle) , maybe Phillips but again another youngster.

Our midfield needs some steel/ mobility and the likes of Murph/ Ade/ Sloth/ Bianch are not up to it so SE right to add in this area, why the hell would you not?

5.) 22 Jan 2016 12:45:23
TBH Hess I don't think any of the current team will be playing for us when we get promoted as 1) none of them are good enough and 2) they will have retired by then. :-)

6.) 22 Jan 2016 12:53:25
We need to stop hoarding midfielders and offload though ones not good enough then.

7.) 22 Jan 2016 14:52:24
Thought he said we needed a number ten.

8.) 22 Jan 2016 17:05:42
Lol @ danum retired comment. Sadly probably true 😂.

13 Jan 2016 09:17:31
We sadly won't challenge for promotion until we get a big commanding sod off central defender.

Wish Sam would sign up, we are a better team with him in. However if Liverpool do want him he is at an age where it would be in his best interests to go. Sad to see one of our own go.

Made in Leeds

1.) 28 Dec 2015 01:54:17
I wonder if it's possible for Milner to come back the other way.

2.) 28 Dec 2015 04:46:13
Excellent post George.

3.) 28 Dec 2015 05:16:19
Thank you Survivor. My spidey instincts tell me I'm not the only one pondering upon this possibility. Milner could be our new Strachan.

{Ed001's Note - you do realise he is being paid £165k a week? I am not sure he would consider the kind of pay cut Leeds would be able to afford, sadly, because I would be glad to see him gone from Liverpool. Truly awful player, who runs around a lot achieving nothing. Can't pass, can't tackle, can't shoot, can't cross, can't take corners, can't lead. Please take him!}

4.) 28 Dec 2015 05:24:58
Ed001, how do you really feel lol? 165k a week is some pay packet.

{Ed001's Note - it is a shame, because he has a good attitude, works his socks off, but he just doesn't have the quality to match.}

5.) 28 Dec 2015 05:36:13
Ed001, do you believe Milner would succeed at Championship level? Sounds like that might be touch and go.

{Ed001's Note - judging by what I saw last night, he would be one of the better players at Championship level.....}

6.) 28 Dec 2015 07:45:51
It's true he's on a huge salary but If Cellino gets the £12 mill he's asking for Byram it stacks up.
Also I understand Milner will take a drop in wages according to what I know.
So Ed 001 it's possible you will be rid of him.

{Ed001's Note - how does it stack up? How are you going to pay wages, signing fee and transfer fee out of the money you have left over from that? You will lose tax, agent's fees, 5% goes to Byram, solicitor's fees, a percentage to the FA (is it Football League as you are in the Championship? I would need to check) which I think is another 5% off the top of my head. You are dreaming if you think you could sign him and stay within FFP.}

7.) 28 Dec 2015 08:47:02
I agree it looks crazy after all Cellino has achieved but he's been discussing it.
We need a quality captain and we haven't got one have we?
The last time this happened was when The directors put in £5 mill all those years ago to finally drag us out of this division after years of mediocracy.
It was HW who extracted the cash and it worked.
Also Milner is Leeds through and through.

{Ed001's Note - they haven't discussed it with either Milner nor Liverpool, so who has he been discussing it with?}

8.) 28 Dec 2015 08:58:31
George are you serious about us getting 12 million for Byram when he could leave for a nominal fee at the end of the season. It is clear Evans needs to move him on if we are to bring in any players in January as it would be the money we get from any Byram deal to finance any new players. It is no coincidence Byram has only recently been selected. just in time to put him in the shop window to try and encourage bids from clubs in the premiership. A lot has been made of Byram leaving this year but as I understand it Sylvestri, Bellusci and Antonucci are also out of contract this year. Ed is this correct? If it is why are we not moving these players on as it is very clear to see none of them are good enough to play for our great team. We need to move these players on and use any money we get from these to put into contracts for the group of outstanding youngsters we currently have we should be building a team around the likes of Byram, Taylor, Mowatt and Cook.

{Ed001's Note - Sylvestri and Bellusci are contracted until 2018 mate, Antenucci is out of contract in the summer though.}

9.) 28 Dec 2015 09:06:37
Who arranges player sales?
Come on Ed001
It's always the players agents.
That's what they do .

{Ed001's Note - so you are saying Cellino has spoken with Jason Ferguson then?}

10.) 28 Dec 2015 09:26:52
All I will say is Cellino went for lunch with Jonathan Barnett Stellar Group recently to discuss players.
You know if I say any more I will be shot.

{Ed001's Note - so you have nothing then. Thanks thought so.}

11.) 28 Dec 2015 09:41:19
Nothing I dare say.
just wait and see.
If you want to know more you know what to do.
Byram is almost with you and now he's looking to sell another player after all.

{Ed001's Note - if you say so.}

12.) 28 Dec 2015 10:17:52
Thanks Ed for clarifying my question earlier, maybe we just wishful thinking on my part. MOT.

{Ed001's Note - you are welcome mate.}

13.) 28 Dec 2015 13:02:04
Ok Mowatt to Newcastle
Pick the bones out of that.

14.) 28 Dec 2015 17:43:08
My friends in the North East are not aware of any interest. McClaren needs proven players to come straight into the team otherwise Newcastle will be joining Villa and Sunderland at Elland Road.

28 Nov 2015 14:28:55
No Sam again. Crazy. He may want away but we should still field our best team.
Wood should be benched and give Erwin a chance.

Dont think Evans is picking the team!

2.) 28 Nov 2015 15:10:39
Whose picking the team corky?
Don't you think any half decent coach/manager would say. I pick the team.
Byram. Unfortunately want out and has been dropped. No conspiracy theory needed.

3.) 28 Nov 2015 15:40:17
wotton took player out god he'll get sent off one game donkey.

4.) 28 Nov 2015 15:57:17
Not saying he is good. Although only 1 out of 6 I've seen this season has he been crap
Just saying. Evans picks team!

5.) 28 Nov 2015 17:20:01
Who said Evans is a half decent manager? Not me that's for sure.
