Just thinking more about this Jack Clarke move now that he's been loaned back to us - it is quite extraordinary. They've seemingly given us over £8m up front and then the player back for the crucial season (for us anyway) !? Daniel Levy is apparently a notoriously tough negotiator. Is this showing the depth of the Bielsa/ Pochettino relationship? All our incoming transfers have only happened in last few days - so Spurs really have baled us out on the face of it.

Think that is exactly what it is down to. Poch trusts Bubs to develop him in the right way and knows he will be looked after.

2.) 03 Jul 2019 23:44:39
I agree. Tell me wife.

Tuesday will be a good test but I hope TC arranges protection for Saiz on Friday. He ran Wednesday ragged for 15 minutes and he did the same to Bristol City - and thankfully we got the early goal against them. I think they will try and clatter him early on Friday.

They couldn't get near Saiz for the first 15 minutes and if we'd scored first, who knows how the match would have panned out. I like the idea of trying Shaughnessy in front of Pennington and Pontus as a sweeper but we are definitely missing the Batty or Vinnie type and we haven't got one, not till January anyway. I think he needs to pack central midfield a bit more and just have Saiz and Pablo behind Lasogga.

1.) 02 Oct 2017 01:06:36
Need batty, vinny and hunter at this rate. Seems like another manager with no plan b

2.) 02 Oct 2017 14:04:35
I'm not sure I agree 100% Martyn, TC is trying different things but has so far failed to find a way around a particular type of team. I think he will continue to look for ways to crack this but we need to do it quickly and to stop the rot.

3.) 02 Oct 2017 15:32:54
Harsh martyn. If TC don't have the personnel to play more aggressively then he don't have them. You can't teach a softy how to become a hard man.

4.) 02 Oct 2017 17:53:25
Same formation different players. We slagged monk off for never changing formation. Then is it orta, s fault for buying woosies?

5.) 02 Oct 2017 19:33:20
I agree with Martyn on this point, and saying it’s not TC’s fault we didn’t sign the players, well it is, if you do your homework for this league the you would see we need a tough midfield, teams with a strong midfield do well in the championship! and as Martyn says we did slag Monk off continuously for the same thing! Last season we had a good defence but not a lot else, this season a good defence and a forward line but again midfield let's us down it’s got to be sorted ASAP! MOT

6.) 02 Oct 2017 23:30:39
haha nice to see reality setting in ;) you have a shocking defence apart from ayling and jansson the rest are awful, cooper is a league 1 defender, your striker lasogga is lazy who doesn't do anything unless it's put on a plate for him and your midfield is bang average, I mean really did you expect anything more from some of your transfer buys?

Lol alioski is a bag full of skill but very little else like no strength atall, samu saiz is like playing against a kid who can't take anyone on lol you have about 3 maybe 4 good players but none of which are amazing. Your gk is the most pathetic gk ive seen at Leeds In along time who looks petrified in goal lol I do find it funny though how you all got excited about winning the basic teams in the league and then reality hits when you play a team capable of challenging lol

7.) 03 Oct 2017 08:21:08
Have a good day at school and make sure you eat all your lunch today Do your homework before playing Fifa

8.) 03 Oct 2017 10:55:29
Other woody, aren't you the one who spelled a Leeds players name wrong? I think so lol please take your own advice kid ;)

9.) 03 Oct 2017 11:29:46
Wow your team must be the most boring in the world if you have to find fun on here, what a sad little life you lead. go out and enjoy yourself I'm sure they will find a space for you on the sunshine bus.

10.) 03 Oct 2017 15:12:47
I don’t know what your point is Odea odea! You are only telling us what we already know! We are all quite capable on here to discuss what is good and what is not, so at this time we really don’t need your posts, thank you all the same. It must be very nice and extremely rewarding supporting a team like yours that is perfect in every way, unfortunately for us things have gone a little wrong but we will be back, just like last time when we were Champions League Semi Finalists, let us know if you would like us to tell you what that was like! Anyway, hope you have a nice time at the bingo with your Uncle and please feel free to come back and bless us with your knowledge of our team and our shortfalls! MOT

11.) 03 Oct 2017 16:32:12
Notice he won't say who his team is Mike? Must be ace eh

12.) 03 Oct 2017 16:33:47
I said at the start of the season what a joke you were as a club to seriously think players such as alioski and samu saiz would get you challenging for the top 6. there is a very good reason why samu saiz has never played top level football and that's because he's a lightweight who is very predictable, same with alioski.

As for lasogga and your gk there clubs were that keen to get rid of them that one replaced your gk with a 35 year old gk and the other paid a large sum of wages just to get him moved on lol it's actually embarrassing and now if any of you watched the games v Millwall, cardiff, Sheffield Wednesday and even Ipswich you would see just how correct I am.

yes you won Ipswich but that wasn't down to how good you were it was how Ipswich missed a lot of chances. Never in the game v Millwall, completely out of the game v Cardiff and Leeds didn't even turn up v Sheffield Wednesday lol new manager, new players yet still your club is a laughing stock.

13.) 03 Oct 2017 17:07:58
I totally agree with you Odea odea, it must be easy for you to sit in the top half of The Prem and slag our team, players and Supporters off, not really fair though is it? We Leeds supporters no matter what, always come on here to post, we don’t go on any other sites to berate their team, yes you have a valid point on some players but I don’t agree about TC and we have a good owner, some players might turn good some may not, but because of your total ignorance you think your pointing things out to us that we don’t know, a lot of us weren’t happy about Felix as number 1 so what’s your point! We all knew Alioski had faults so what’s your point! We all knew that things might get bumpy so again what’s your point! We all knew that out of all the buys we made not all would come good so what’s your point! I think it’s time you went and played with your sticker book in the middle of the M1, we really don’t take any notice of you and hopefully the traffic on the M1 won’t! 😘MOT

14.) 03 Oct 2017 17:11:43
Odea odea supports Tottenham Hotspur Martyn, well that’s what he said last time unless it’s changed to one of the Mancs because they are top, who knows, I bet his parents are really proud of him! MOT

15.) 03 Oct 2017 17:33:07
We "beat" Ipswich we didn't "won" them. Hope your sister and mother are well odea. Same person btw

16.) 03 Oct 2017 18:20:12
Woody67: Odea Odea parents where LEEDS fans that's why he's always on our site, he never made them proud as a child and has to find away to deal with his difficult childhood, still time for bed Odea and don't forget to suck your dummy or stick your head where it don't shine.

17.) 03 Oct 2017 19:14:28
Thumbs up to that Whiteman12, I suppose he was always a put in a corner child or even made to sit on the naughty step for weeks!

18.) 03 Oct 2017 20:46:59
Spurs! That explains everything. The great pretenders. They may be prem league but will always be wanna bees. What ya going to do when Kane gets poached lmao

19.) 04 Oct 2017 09:33:16
Lol Kane would have left by now if he wanted to leave., it's not like he's not a wanted striker. spurs have been in the premiership for years now and usually the top half of the table, where are Leeds united?

jansson will leave next season once he realises what a shambles your team is, ayling will leave to play at a higher level and your sell Ronny and think your be making progress lol.

you have a gk who can't gk, a striker who lacks effort and you still have Pablo who offers nothing to Leeds yet you still persist on playing him. ayling, jansson, and Ronny are the only decent players at Leeds and that's partly because they show effort in 99% of games but are constantly let down by lazy players like lasogga, cooper, Phillips, and Pablo.

spurs have a few lazy useless players too like sissoko and lamela but unfortunately no one brought them last season but spurs are looking to sell them. Leeds seriously think your players are going places, but not a chance.

20.) 04 Oct 2017 11:06:56
Weird how you know everyone of and everything about our players. Perhaps you should watch the film Misery, it seems to be you down to a t.

21.) 04 Oct 2017 13:22:53
We both have one thing in common area. We will both be disappointed and at the end of the season but we already know that. We will be disappointed that we only finished 2nd and you because you'll do what you do every year and bottle it. Wonder how dedicated you'd be pal if you got relegated? Oh yea you'd probably be a gooner if that happened because you come across as a turn coat amongst many things. MOT

22.) 04 Oct 2017 21:30:06
I know a lot about football in general actually, it's my specialty subject ;) DW i'll keep you up to date with news on Leeds ;)

23.) 04 Oct 2017 21:32:24
Misery? I'm a very happy person ;) I love football I really do, but there is nothing more satisfying than putting fans in there place, which for you Leeds fans is always in the terrible league called the championship.

24.) 04 Oct 2017 21:54:41
Misery is about being obsessed. Funny how last time we played Spuds in the cup, we beat them. I'm guessing that was your first Spuds game and you're still upset about it?

25.) 05 Oct 2017 06:20:26
SG, don’t bother to waste your time mate, he is an absolute div he really is, he’s one of those small syndrome people who cause lots of trouble then run off, or like this site, he hides behind his false id’s, he doesn’t even go on Spurs banter site, if he does again it’s under another alias! I’ve never ever come across such a little twit in all my life, he is completely ignorant so I think the best we can all do on here is stop answering his posts! Let’s all be in agreement that we we all just stop feeding his little ego! This way he might just get bored and go back to playing with his Uncle! MOT

26.) 05 Oct 2017 09:10:36
Speciality football and a spurs fan? ! I think not.

27.) 06 Oct 2017 10:51:30
Tottenham bottle it? Your all northern softies that's why your Leeds fans lol wannabe hard men but actually jelly babies lol. yes my specialty is football and yes I'm a spurs fan. your a Leeds fan pal what do you know about football?

Whilst Tottenham haven't won the league title they have come closer than Leeds have ever done. A challenge to Tottenham is playing teams like Chelsea and city whilst a challenge to Leeds is playing teams like Millwall or Cardiff lol.

Noted that Match of the Day made no mention or fuss of (or even showed) the actual, out of control lunge/ challenge on Raphinha that could have broken his leg whereas there was outrage when young Struick fairly won the ball but the ensuing tangle caused a nasty injury to his unfortunate opponent - who himself knew there was no ill intent. Is it so simple that all a manager has to do is throw a hissy fit and the authorities will change their minds?

Manston Park

1.) 24 Oct 2021 10:35:17
Not sure if you watched last night or this morning MP but they did show it and actually included the freeze frame with contact on Raphinia’s ankle.

Keown said it was a red and all agreed the tackle was out of control.

2.) 24 Oct 2021 10:48:02
Also, to be fair, everyone (apart from the VAR red) , including MOTD said the Struik table was not worthy of a red and a fair challenge and an accident.

3.) 24 Oct 2021 10:49:37
They should be able to suspend at least for 1 game after the fact if it warrants it.
So determined not to criticise refs even when they are wrong.
It’s like you don’t have to go to prisons n for murder because even though you were caught on camera there were no eye witnesses. Stupid.

4.) 24 Oct 2021 10:59:21
Jenas and Keown both said red
I think because he got a yellow for the handball he can't get done again
Font don't quote me on that.

5.) 24 Oct 2021 13:13:49
Logically speaking, if the ref’s given yellow for a handball, rather than the foul, they out to be able to look at it and punish retrospectively. But since when have the footballing authorities been logical, particularly with incidents involving Leeds.

6.) 24 Oct 2021 16:05:38
Cluey To answer your question, I'd say 1966 and prior.

15 Sep 2021 11:37:48
What Klopp wants. Klopp gets. He even gave his own player - Van Dijk - the evil eye for daring to console Struijk (who is only 22) . This really is poor from the FA.

We can only thank Harvey Elliott (18) for being the man in the room.

Manston Park

1.) 15 Sep 2021 12:27:34
impressed by Harvey Elliot :class
as for Klopp . well.

2.) 15 Sep 2021 12:29:20
Kill being lined up to replace Southgate.

3.) 15 Sep 2021 12:36:20
Yes. Impressed with young Eliot.

4.) 15 Sep 2021 17:36:47
Jurgen plopp, had a chip on his shoulder about leeds ever since the t-shirt stunt about the European breakaway league from last season s game.

10 Apr 2021 14:31:29
Red card for Fernandinho anyone!?! The most satisfying result in a long time.

Manston Park

{Ed001's Note - he has to behead someone to get a sending off.}

Sky Control to Marriner - 'People don't pay to watch Manchester City lose! Do something man! '.

Manston Park

1.) 10 Apr 2021 13:48:50
And how does sterling not get a red for deliberate stamp on Mesliers hand when he has downward pressure on the ball?

2.) 10 Apr 2021 13:54:53
Yep. He stood on his hand. The Leeds players are conditioned not to complain though.

3.) 10 Apr 2021 14:07:38
It's BT but I agree with your point.

4.) 10 Apr 2021 14:13:05
Yep - sorry - my SKY paranoia! Same principle though (or lack of) .

10 Jan 2021 15:49:18
That really was shocking - and worrying. We have no one up front to replace Bamford and no one on the pitch today to get a grip of the team. Seasoned professionals like Dallas and Ayling should have been playing. Why take Poveda off and leave Costa on? Casilla - dear me - £40k a week but we can't shift him.

Manston Park

1.) 10 Jan 2021 15:57:41
Maybe we can't shift him because he's on £40k?

2.) 10 Jan 2021 16:02:55
Precisely- he's laughing all the way to the bank.

3.) 10 Jan 2021 16:17:04
Sorry - that was my point - should have been so rather than but!

4.) 10 Jan 2021 17:29:24
Richie 1971 I was certainly one of those people calling for the whole U23 side. Alf’s already made the point that they would have a far better understanding of each other’s play than the very mixed hybrid we put out today.

I’m not saying we would have done any better, no team would with casilla and his wafer wrists.

But Villa under 23 gave Liverpool a game lost 4-1 but learnt a lot i’m sure our u23s thrashed that Villa team 3-2 this year and sit ten or so places above them in prem 2

So if I had a time machine (this year) i’d still play out complete U23s Geldhsrt Caprile et al.

5.) 10 Jan 2021 17:46:13
Classof92, hence the question mark, it was question whether we should of or not, and yes agree with the valid points.

Yes - Scott Parker clearly said ‘well played Patrick’ when he came off. A lovely, professional gesture. He also spoke well after the game. And Bamford is a credit to himself and the club the way he speaks and presents himself when interviewed.

The atmosphere v Everton was charged up because they came out first and immediately turned left and ran toward The Kop. When Strachan led us out, he started left then had to wheel right and lead our team toward The South Stand. The crowd went berserk. Poor etiquette from Everton. And they paid for it!
