Glen Kamara to Leeds within the next few days apparently.

Mezzer1

1.) 20 Aug 2023 13:41:04
Yea he's a very good buy at 5 million we were supposedly linked with him 4 weeks ago, we always were quick off the mark.

2.) 20 Aug 2023 15:37:03
Linked with him 4 years ago if I remember correctly!

3.) 21 Aug 2023 10:03:40
Can’t rush things lads. got to make sure we pay too much before we bid.

4.) 21 Aug 2023 14:54:00
And make sure there's a loan clause correctly inserted into the contract.

Sorry, previous regime! Just couldn't help myself.

11 Aug 2023 15:09:17
Adams move to Chelsea breaks down he now returning to leeds. Wonder if he is fit as Chelsea were looking at him to start for them if he signed, suppose he's injured now again for leeds.

Mezzer1

1.) 11 Aug 2023 15:25:29
He must've desired a loan relegation release clause and scared them away ???.

2.) 11 Aug 2023 15:40:53
Apparently it’s the discussion between the clubs that broke down, despite the relegation release clause having been met! Marathe and Co clearly not going to be bullied by anyone, but do wonder exactly what has gone on in discussions? Perhaps we wanted one of their players, and offered a reduction in Adams’ fee? No idea, but it would be interesting to find out!

3.) 11 Aug 2023 16:53:22
Brighty What's there to discuss and what's to break down between the clubs if the fee is agreed (because the relegation release clause amount was met) ?

4.) 11 Aug 2023 18:18:08
That’s my point George. The reports state that it was a breakdown in discussions between the clubs, NOT a medical issue! Try reading what’s written, eh?

5.) 11 Aug 2023 18:39:19
George probably the structure of payment. Leeds wanted cash up front?

6.) 11 Aug 2023 18:51:20
I think they went off him due to them signing the lad from Brighton. I think he was always a backup option.

7.) 11 Aug 2023 19:33:19
Brighty You own any cells? What's there to discuss? What's to break down? ???.

8.) 11 Aug 2023 19:35:27
Cork Agreed but there's my point. These clauses seek up front complete payment. If purchasing club unwilling preferring instalments then the clause was never met in first place.

9.) 11 Aug 2023 19:43:41
Exactly Corky! And Marathe isn’t going to settle for structured payments. A release clause, once met, is still going to have its payment terms negotiated!

10.) 11 Aug 2023 19:50:54
That was my thought Corky, if release clause says 20 million but no specifics can we insist on all being paid immediately?
I like our style if we are doing that. If chelsea don't won't to pay up front maybe we can agree on installments but adding up to 25-30.

11.) 11 Aug 2023 20:24:56
Whatever George. Don’t get too wound up by making yerself look daft tho…….

12.) 12 Aug 2023 13:16:34
Tyler deal to Chelsea off only due to hamstring injury reported today.

13.) 12 Aug 2023 15:45:39
Creating your own narrative as well as liking yer own posts now George?
Discussions broke down over payment terms. Tyler didn’t even start a medical.
No legitimate reports anywhere suggesting otherwise. Have a sherry. Again.

14.) 12 Aug 2023 19:11:39
That case the clause was never activated because it is known a loan relegation release clause contains expressly the need for payment in full up front without instalments. No creation of narrative.

15.) 12 Aug 2023 20:27:54
Talking twoddle now George. Try to retain some integrity, eh?
Not a loan. A purchase. But you said he failed a medical for a hamstring issue.
A medical that never happened, and a hamstring issue that only exists in the world of your sherry glass. Simmer down.

10 Aug 2023 11:27:02
Apparently Rodon deal has been completed, season loan with no obligation to buy. Hopefully available against Brum.

Mezzer1

1.) 10 Aug 2023 12:26:21
Always prefer us to get an option to buy so we know the price in advance if he's a success.

11 Jul 2023 14:57:51
Free agent Ryan Manning, likely to sign for Southampton while Leeds sit on our hands. Yes I know we waiting for EFL to ratify new owners, but surely if we were truly interested in this player we could have started the ball rolling. Meanwhile Southampton getting a very good championship player!

Mezzer1

1.) 11 Jul 2023 19:13:16

2.) 11 Jul 2023 21:38:32
Were we actually interested though?

Big changes! Let’s see! I like it too. Could be electric this! Booooom!

2.) 13 Apr 2024 13:20:29
Started well. But faded.
Should see Blackburn red second half. Hopefully that gets us pumping again. 1 min added. Shameful.

3.) 13 Apr 2024 13:23:05
Gnonto and Roberts very good .

Leeds played decent at first. but not really dangerous

Rutter and Summeville not good for 5th game in row

Piroe mediocre

Bring on Matteo and DJ ASAP.

Well today did turn out how I hoped!

My honest opinion from what I watched, we looked slow at times in the first half, Coventry 's first goal had a slice of luck but mainly bad defending and Mes was poor.

Bamford should be taken out of the starting line up and used as sub for the remainder of the season.
We looked like we trying to walk the ball into the net at time.

Gruev didn't look fit, midfield struggled first half.
Rutters fancy flicks and turns too much at times, needs to play the simple ball now and then.

Rodon caught out for the second goal left the player unmarked, maybe Rodons injury is holding him back abit.

Once Coventry scored the second goal they were happy to drop deeper back and try to catch us on the break.

We could have easily snatched a point, they defended like it was a cup final.

Disappointed with the experience but Coventry are no mugs, the had their highest attendance today. The fans are getting behind them for their cup run. I just hope the show the same fighting spirit against ipswich.

1.) 06 Apr 2024 19:31:37
Mezz We are chronically guilty of overplaying and lacking in sufficient variation. Nothing wrong with route one football when it's necessary.

2.) 06 Apr 2024 19:51:11
Mixing it up with route one football has been very effective for Leeds this season . plenty of goals for Leeds have come from it.

#pace.

3.) 06 Apr 2024 19:55:21
Good post Mezzer. I hope they are up for it against Ipswich like they were today. Last game against Cardiff at home they weren't. Leeds have to cope with this sort of thing as everybody wants to beat us and see us suffer. We had players who just weren't at their best today. I do agree about Bamford, a stint on the bench might be best for him as he is way off it at the moment.

06 Apr 2024 12:11:22
Another tough fixture today really hard to call although I'm leaning towards a narrow 2-1 away win. My nephew has managed to get me a ticket for the game but we got to sit with the home fans, so got to remember not to jump up if we score.
Last time I saw Leeds away at Coventry was a 0-0 draw September 1991 and we went on to win the title.

1.) 06 Apr 2024 13:09:45
Good omens Mez. Hope you see us win today.

01 Apr 2024 22:18:07
Still in there fighting! Every game is a battle but respect this team of players and our manager.
Today could have so easily been the day we slipped up and dropped off, but this group keep battling.
This promotion battle going to the wire, we can only focus on our own game.

Mezzer1

1.) 02 Apr 2024 01:35:54
Top post Mezzer I agree 100% mate ?.

08 Mar 2024 22:06:31
I see it as a professional performance against a team that has been playing well and fighting for their championship status.
We have had lots of hard games in a short period of times, now for a week's break.
Another clean sheet and more goals towards our great goal difference.
Time to applaud this group of players and give our manager some credit.

Mezzer1

1.) 08 Mar 2024 22:13:53
Totally agree Mezz. But the first half I thought was very poor and they actually edged it. Much better second half.
Amapdu is some player and deserved MOM. We miss him in midfield but he has to stay at the back for now as we literally don’t concede from open play when he’s back there.
MOT.

2.) 08 Mar 2024 22:15:05
Indeed, it’s a nice 9 days recovery time now, and well deserved!

3.) 08 Mar 2024 22:15:31
Fair post Mez

Vital win

Leedz didn't play well first half. but superb Crucial first goal on HT changed game

Ampadu and Rodon immense.

4.) 08 Mar 2024 22:16:50
8 more wins out of next 9 games please.

5.) 08 Mar 2024 22:19:36
Well said Mezzer, hard fought, potential banana skin dealt with professionally and wore the shirt with pride. There really is not a lot to dislike about this team, Meslier is getting better, the back 4 are solid with Pascal to come back, the midfield is solid and to think we could of bought 4 Gruev’s for what we paid for BA! Unbelievable eh, then we have our frontline which now consists of Bamford, Rutter, Cry and then when we want a change it’s James, Gnonto, Joseph and Piroe although I do agree with Baz, Berm and a few others that James should start and I do get a bit bored of Gnonto and his constant whinging but keep scoring and he can whinge as much as he likes! It wasn’t the best performance but second half we bossed it and we did what was needed, 11 wins 1 draw, what’s not to love about this team and Farke, well done boys ????MOT ALAW have a super great weekend one and all ??.

6.) 08 Mar 2024 22:46:52
I know if I was a defender I'd be terrified of DJ coming off the bench after 60-70 mins.
Keep Willy starting while he keeps scoring!

7.) 09 Mar 2024 00:49:32
Nah prefer DJ to start especially against the likes of Hull and Coventry .

But credit to Gnonto with his 6 goals so far in 2024.so if Farke does start Gnonto again it increasingly is becoming much less contentious.

8.) 09 Mar 2024 00:51:40
Hey Canada . GD super important as ever

Leicester + 41 Leeds +40.

9.) 09 Mar 2024 07:23:43
I agree Canada. Willy has a little more to his game than DJ, and tires the defence. Bringing DJ on as a huge impact sub, just helps us secure the points, and gives the defence even more to worry about. Rutter then gets more space to influence the game.

10.) 09 Mar 2024 09:50:36
From what I've seen in the last few games could the reason dj and roberts are not getting straight into the team the good connection willy and archie have. They seem to have that understanding of each others game at the moment. Grey seem to be making a lot more runs forward and the seem to find each other with the flicks and lay offs.
Maybe farke just thinks that bit of a connection is missing from dj and roberts play.
Just a thought.
It is a tight call between willy or dj. a real competition for that spot.

11.) 09 Mar 2024 11:27:16
Err Ben

Exhibit 1 . the Leicester game . CR and DJ changed the game from 0-1 to 3 -1

Exhibit 2 . the Huddersfield game . DJ and CR chsnged the game fron 0- 1 to 1-1

Exhibit 3 . wheneber DJ ahd CR are on pitch Leeds look, play better score goals.

12.) 09 Mar 2024 16:51:46
I did say it was close between them baz. I think as a change pairing to drive a game on dj and cr are amazing but tight build up and ball retention I just think grey and willy might just shade it.

But it has worked as Bournemouth paying above the 20 million release clause, 23 million plus are ons. In order to get him they have offered more.

Unlikely, Don't think we getting anymore for first team in this transfer window. Hope we lucky on the injury front or bielsa is confident to use some of the under23's, as we still seem light as a squad.

Ipswich's so called league one squad currently got 4 players on loan from premiership teams.
International players from Wales, Nigeria, Australia, Egypt, Ecuador, and Jamaica.

Plus others with premiership and championship experience.

YES, they doing brilliant and all respect to them for that.
If Ipswich get up into the premiership this season how many of their current team will play, won't their owners spend on better players? . No guarantee to stay up but surely if relegated they will have a better squad than most championship teams.

Don't get the fascination with Ipswich and McKenna, more than happy with Leeds Utd and Farke.

Good job the football has been enjoyable to watch this season because there is no longer much joy in posting on this site anymore.

Well said OP, regardless of what the other 3 teams are doing the focus is what our team does. I know some think there are easy games in this league, we are now at the business end of the season and even the lower placed teams are scrapping for points to stay up.
