What do you think was Mr Monk's game plan today? Noel 'love him or hate him' Whelan put it well when he said it was 'lump it over our shoulder and see what happens'. Waa he right?

Been at the game tonight. Controlled the first half. Had a terrible start to the second. We hardly touched the ball for 10 minutes. What did he say to them at half time? Great day out, crap trip home. Roll on next week!

Mystery solved. Interview now on OS with Darko and yes he does speak English as one of his 5 languages. All the best Dark Destroyer. Onwards and upwards. This time next year we'll be.

1.) Feeling happy it was Nicola Salerno that found him. Hope he is as good as his other signings.

Did you here Adam Pope's interview tonight on Five Live? Does he actually support our Massimo's reign at the helm. He wasn't convincing. And why are him and Phil Hay now shouting about what a great manager Redders would make (for another club)? I thought those two presented themselves as Leeds fans: disgraceful.

Norman Lawman

{Ed013's Note - Phil Hay isn't a Leeds fan and Popey is trying to be a neutral. We all think Redders has done a great job, but if he was to take over there would be a massive void in the youth set up. I am sure there is a plan in place to overcome this next time. Redders is a Leeds fan and I feel he has a very good shot if Darko doesn't succeed, plus he is one of very few with a good relationship with Massimo that knows the club inside out}

1.) Popey did not say a word in defence of the don. He was not neutral even but just submissive and by implication therefore in agreement with the likes of Neville and the drinking man's football genius, Klutz 'I'll have a fiver on the green frog' Claridge. Hay presents himself as a fan of the team using the royal Leeds 'we' when referring to us. If these are mates of yours Ed then so be it but this is a Leeds fans site and the way Mr Pope is presenting the public face of Leeds in the national media. Public opinion, albeit poorly informed, can be a powerful tool and, with some potential battles to come for our beloved owner we need to put a strong united message out in the public arena that this man has done and will do a power of good for our club.

{Ed013's Note - Mate, both Popey and Phil are both desperate for Leeds to do well}

2.) I agree Norman, popey & Hay have no opinion or backbone, never have done. It's all basic reporting and nothing more. When asked for opinion they're more like politicians, both temperate men not wanting to upset anyone in case it affects their chances of future jobs. Too many lufc fans up their backsides & can't see we have the worst reporters of any championship side. These are the ones we rely on to put our news to the footballing world but when someone comes at them with an opinion of us they just nod in agreement or say sod all in our defence or put them right in no uncertain terms. They quite happily get flippant with lufc supporters on twitter but when on TV or radio no bottle. If lufc OS worked well we wouldn't even need them or miss them. They rely on twitter feeds from ITK fans or foriegn reporters such as Emanuele to start the ball rolling then jump on bandwagon. Hay is the worst of the two, just a small time newspaper hack watching out for his own career advancement instead of having a real opinion like many top reporters. Useless for lufc but try telling their little posse of arse kissers that.

I cannot understand why people give Sam Byram a hard time. What has he done wrong? There was a rumour he might be transferred. Is that his fault?
He is a young man with massive potential and did a fantastic job for us when he came on after Berardi's sending off. I have met him once and he was very understated and modest lad.
We need to nurture and encourage young talent at Leeds, not drive them away with over the top criticism.

Norman Lawman

1.) Agree Norm, he's one of my fave players and as I have posted before, I'm really glad he is still here - because i'm sure he would have had offers to go over the summer. But as someone else said, will probably be good for him to have more competition for places

2.) Well said Norm, no one should be critical of any of our squad, we are a team evolving and improving, the lads need all our support to continue that

We are in one of the best periods I can remember in a long, long time. Don Cellino is doing such great work for us. Why do you feel the need to be so critical? I agree with Spain that this is a minor internal matter. It has nothing to do with the football. For the second time this week I am disgusted with Phil Hay and Adam Pope. Why on earth have they given this so much air time but to cause trouble. If I were Don Cellino I would stop talking to them and then they'd be out of jobs.

You are just being completely negative and have no knowledge of basic company law. The proceeds belong to Lufc from Ross' sale. If these are then used to buy ER then the ground again belongs to Lufc, not to MC personally.

I don't know anything about Italian Law but the fact that if he appeals then he is not guilty until the appeal is heard is only something that Mr C's Italian lawyer has said. Looking at what else this guy has said in the media, I don't think this should be taken as gospel.

The trips home from the games have just not been the same since YR ceased. I even miss Eddie interrupting every single caller to tell them what they should be thinking (I suppose he's earned the right).
What's happened to the phone in now we're back on the BBC? Good luck in bringing it all back.

Why don't you just book an official luff trip if you've got the money like we have done. Stop whinging and follow Leeds United. Up the whites. One hour to kick off. We are Leeds.

There will be a clause in the company's constitution usually which will prohibit this happening, unless the new shares are offered to existing shareholders first. So it is possible that they could issue new shares, offer to all existing shareholders, and then if GFH can't afford them, and a new shareholder buys them, they can dilute GFH's shareholding.

I met Alex a few years ago. A nice young lad but very shy. Definitely not captain material. He was with Cook who will be a great captain one day I think, but unfortunately not for us.

Absolutely spot on. They will need £60m to buy out Cellino and then £20m to buy the ground and the rest for ayers and working capital/ new players. Who will lend that? They will want security and we have no assets to offer. I would love them to be in a position to buy the club but it is just not feasible.

Squids are always damp mate, as a result of being mostly in the sea. It's a 'damp squib' that you mean. A squib is like a firework. If it is damp it won't light, therefore causing disappointment. That's where the expression comes from. There's a very famous legal case involving a lit squib being thrown. more to the point though, this is an excellent signing from il capo Cellino. Leeds are going up lalalalalala Leeds are going up!
