Should we expect to be in PL, expect better than the crap the last few years have served up. We have lived and enjoyed the successes of the Revie, Sgt Wilko's, and early 2000s, I think because of these past successes there is an expectation for more, especially when success has come around 3 times. We are Leeds United, not some mediocre club who have yet to experience glory, our owners should remember our history and achievements because this expectation of further successes is what they should strive to bring back to Leeds United.

sorry but I disagree, past glorys count for nothing, the only history that affects this club is the one in the bank account. winning makes no difference to anything however being brought to our knees by risdale and then having a good team and manager pulled to bits and milked by bates are two things which do affect the current situation. A lesser team with lesser support would not of recovered (look at wigan, blackpool, sheff utd and porstmouth all prem teams long after after us yet doing worse) .

our owners need to look at balance sheets, our fans need to be realistic and know that considering how bad things are being mediocore in championship is probably a good result and doing well, if you disagree talk to the fans of the clubs I just mentioned they would love to be in our postion and we were in worse place than them and they had glory more recently than us

best thing leeds fans can do is look fondly on the past good times but realise we may never recover from our recently history and revie wilko and champs league counts for nothing other than fond memories and a good watch on DVD.

Well said BW

3.) 12 Apr 2016 16:31:49
It is unhealthy to live in the past.

4.) 12 Apr 2016 20:34:22
I agree George. Where would we all be without wi-fi. Couldn't watch Yeboah's goals or watch the cup final. Clarke 1-0. Brilliant!

5.) 13 Apr 2016 10:17:51
was at the game when yeboha scored the goal against wimbledon I could not believe what I saw little was I to know this was just the beggining with class acts like rickets, lilly, sowomni and joachim to follow the great african through our doors

wilko brought him after looking at a tape, if SE is reading this look up lady andrea online she is amazing and think female players go cheap so might be worth a shot on right wing?

We conceded 4 against Brighton recently, nothing learned from that. Tactics wrong, it's bin said for long enough our defence is wrong.
Not encouraged by SE comments about transfer targets of quality not easy to attract, is this preparing us for disappointment next window. However the team performance is a reflection of the manager. Look at teams who have been promoted to PL last 4/ 5 years (no disrespect to any of them) . What is it, why is it we can't produce the same togetherness and confidence.

Because we are still in recovery mode from the Ridsdale era, have an owner who is one fry short of a happy meal. a manager who apart from weighing a metric tonne, wears makeup and has lost the plot mentally and the dressing room. A team which contains Murphy and Bamba, a squad which includes Wooton, no fight heart passion desire or pride.

Great performance against florist. It's my opinion Wood is not going to be our prolific striker we badly need, lost patience with him. Sorry he has got to go.

If MC is serious at having a crack at promotion he needs to do some business January, bring in a decent proven striker, a commanding batty type midfielder, and a classy defender.

I don't have any suggestions but please no Lafferty, Nolan, Bentley, Becchio, these are not good enough as they are bench warmers, reserve players or sick notes who would only drain the transfer kitty and wage bill.

I still can't get my head round why we did not sign Forestieri from Watford when we had the chance, too much dithering and fanning on about wages. If they're history and form says they are good enough pay them the fair wage, Byram will leave, Bridcut will go elsewhere and it will be MC tight @rses fault. SE is deluded about Wood, please get rid.

1.) 28 Dec 2015 15:26:45
I wouldn't get rid of wood I'd just leave him on bench n see what happens. Not everyone turns up in there first season.

2.) 28 Dec 2015 15:52:14
And gfh tight fisted fokers.

08 Dec 2015 22:35:49
Byram should play IMO, he's done nothing wrong, Cellino obviously told Evans to keep him out of starting eleven for refusing to sign a lesser contract. Bemusing to think a player who some prem teams are considering paying £8 million for can't get a full game ahead of a poor CB playing RB.!
Getting 10 million for McCormack was good business, but I was disappointed when he was sold, his goals kept us in the championship in his last season as a Leeds player.

Agree with comments about MC, at the present he's putting in the funds when no one else seems to want to. I still think he's nutty as a fruit cake though!

Here's hoping we can build on great win against Hull, onwards LUFC.

Good post but you need to amend your username. Try replacing white with purple and 63 with 17.

2.) 09 Dec 2015 07:19:28
George. U swallowed a happy pill?

3.) 09 Dec 2015 09:12:24
George not had happy pill since 70s, just a flashback aus.

4.) 09 Dec 2015 10:41:53
Shouldn't be be changing his name to Purplebread?

5.) 09 Dec 2015 11:58:35
The win against Hull made me happy plus Mrs Integrity being nicer than usual. You guys on here know me too well. Normally, I'm cynical and depressed. I need more Leeds United wins in my life.

Up the Purple Down the Pints.

Clearly before Pearson left there was stability and settled feeling throughout the club. That status no longer exists. Cellino's cash if honest is all I'm interested in, the man is bonkers and that's being kind.

When the owner keeps chopping and changing his mind staying or selling it just beggars belief anyone can feel settled at the club. No wonder we are so inconsistent. Cellino picking the team despite what Evans wants, he's got the lip on about Byram and won't play him, lucky we have world class talent in Wooten to cover.

Wood is total carp, complete waste of 3 mill, wouldn't pay 3 p for him.

What are the FL playing at, dragging their heels about MC disqualification, how long does it take to make this decision - another FL attempt to disrupt and unsettle Leeds.

Hoping our results improve. MOT.

There is one person to blame for our current predicament,Cellino. Cellino brought in someone to buy players last season. A lot of them are still here. Most not good enough. Cellino brought in Hockaday, everyone to a man knew that was a mistake. Cellino brought in Darko and everyone said "who"? Doesn't know the league. We started to get it right, then Cellino sacked Thompson. Cellino won't pay the market rate for players (something bates was critism for) we end up with players who are bargain basement. Coaches who will work on monthly contracts, who will pick whoever the owner tells them. Cellino picked a fight with Sam Byram, destroying his confidence and harming his career. Come January Cellino thinks someone is going to spend £6 million plus on Scott Wotten's understudy. Someone will need to be sold to pay for the cost of all the court cases the club have been dragged into, thanks to Cellino ' erratic behaviour. Cellino is a one man disaster zone. He has a negative midas touch, everything he touches turns to s.

Booing will not help anything in anyway, MC has made fair comment, you can't judge Hock until he has had a decent chance to know players & work with them. which players are his regular starting line up, he can't know that until spending is finished this window. MC we know doesn't suffer fools so please giive things a bit more time to see if Hock can pick a regular starting eleven and stick with a formation.

Hey if his credentials are good then why not give Paul Clement a chance and he sounds British in name.

If Massimo did state he wanted a British coach I am puzzled why because in the British game we have managers, coaching is not our style! I thought a continental person who is familiar with the coaching approach would have been better.

Think Ross is going to be sold the way media reports and speculation is brewing.

Never a dull moment!

Byram has had long term injury problems which have impacted upon his all round game & match fitness this season. Is this what you intended to say?

What a great post class of 92! It's the stability we all crave, we Leeds fans have our expectations based on our memories of the good times. The Great Revie team. The young team who set the Prem alight in the late 90s early 2000. That same team so close to winning the Champions league and Eurasia cup. Sgt Wilko's real champions of England team. So we know good times can return quickly, but our MC is such an unpredictable individual who does not bring harmony with his ownership. If MC would just do the right things which he should have learned by now. Let the manager pick the team, identify signings, tactically manage each game. MC needs to take a back seat. GFH bought out. Being honest with the fans and bring unity within every aspect of the club.

Leeds United always

A few scenarios;

Evans has a wish list and would have liked one or two more signed in last window. MC tells him keep powder dry and maintain championship status with what we have. In the summer I will fund all transfer targets you want for a promotion push next season.

Evans playing MCs game for now but knows pressure is on to win more games and stop relegation. Evans believes money is there because he knows Parkin is investing in summer.

Leeds lose next couple of games and fans voice angry concerns about club relegation worries , poor form, and demand for heads to roll (MC out etc) .

MC sacks Evans due to poor form and relegation worries and fans reactions. Or it's all good and we improve form avoiding relegation, MC gets rid of Evans anyway with a lame excuse because he has no intention of funding or can't fund a promotion challenging team next season.

Hope Evans gets more time myself, but MC has to improve the squad in the summer.

I think speedo4 & ausman are both right, Striker positioning, shots on target (lack of shots really) , lack of goals, it's not good enough. The link up play counter attacking lacks the quality player we don't have.

If SE sets us up not to concede then we don't lose (then he won't get sacked?) . We are predictable in how we approach games, don't concede, attackers, midfield and wide men don't get too forward too often as we get caught on the counter. SE has made a difference but I see through his comments and the excuses when we lose or don't win games when we should.

Let's just hope we stay in this league and hopefully SE will set us up more attack minded when we have the points in the bag and give some fringe and youth a chance.

Leeds always

Agree with all of above, short sighted and insulting excuses about lack of signings are becoming very predictable of SE & MC.
Failure to bring in decent striker could cost us our championship status, Fulham and Bolton are pressure games we need to get all the points from because April's jlooking a whole lot tougher.

Please stop taking us for complete idiots with these constant pee take feeble excuses.

Our seasons finished again, it is important for us now to; maintain our Chamionship status.
If we do Cellino over the summer needs to invest in the squad with quality and pay them the salary. No ones half decent is coming to play for Leeds on the cheap.

An honest clear statement of his plans for the club would be welcome but that is totally not going to happen ever.

Really frustrated, still love and support for club will never falter.

Great idea algar; GFH leeches need to be gone ASAP, how the hell did FL allow them in in the first place has always filled me with suspicion. They contribute to inflate their profits.
MC not perfect but he needs to feel wanted, he's all we have at the moment. No, I haven't always defended MC, why can't he just be more honest with us the fans (Ha Ha, )
