I'm on MC's side but it's getting annoying that it takes us weeks to negotiate with relatively unknown players it's not long until the season begins and I feel that the squad should have been nearer to completion by now.

Agreed SD. I think we will still get Viviani but after him we need another central defender, a striker and a winger. Hudson, Wood and Gradel would be fine with me. Maybe also consider Burke.
2.) SDLUFC
I totally agree and I get upset every time someone drops off our shopping list.
The way I look at it now is, if they didn't want to come or the wages were too low then good ridence. We've had the high earners screwing us for long enough, let's get passion back on our turf and pay the wages when we get where we belong :)
3.) Theres no point in getting excited at all about names been linked.
if athletico, roma or even leicester want one of these so called starlets from italy they will get them.
why is vivani taking so long? because he has other people sniffing.
15 days to go. it could be a last min nile ranger and a tutti frutti from italy.
i don't know what's going on behind scenes but il be a bot more optimistic when I see 4 or 5 mill spent on a striker who can score.
i mean hunt/morrison/poleon. pathetic

Why does zaliukas get so much stick when he plays our shocking defence looks a little bit less shocking. Every time I've watched him he makes strong early tackles which is what lees and wooton never do.
1.) I think the Wednesday game did him no favours mate, but agree a lot better than lees, although wooton is another level of poor.
2.) To me having watched most of the home games Wootton seems really poor, we need a older head, a proven centre half who ideally is quick as we lack pace. Pearce/Lees to me are just average and MZ has the potential to be good as he can tackle/pass.
But it is coming to something when Brown appears as one of our best midfielders, he wasn't good enough for us couple of years ago so that shows we are going backwards.
Also I know Mowatt is home grown/young but for me he seems really really slow, gets knacked after about 15 mins, not much of a tackler, can't head it and this season is just about average at passing so why do we rate him? maybe its growing pains ha ha.
Need a fast forward who scores a few (10-15 fine if they create space with their pace), 3 new midfielders, 2 defenders and a goalie, get rid of say 12 of current lot and that should balance, quality not quantity needed
3.) I think you're wrong about Mowatt's passing DG. Rarely gives the ball away and has an eye for a through ball.
He's a bit lightweight, as you'd expect for a teenager, but I think he has a lot of potential. He needs the right players around him to develop though.

As I see it the only way that any clubs will be able to abide by the financial fair play rules is to have a salary cap below the premier league.

mowatt will never be man city level way too slow and one footed
I would like to keep him for those last minute box overloads but I can't see cellino liking his general football and to be honest I don't like it either he gave the ball away far too easily and is very immobile
The difference is that we needed the money in january
How can the deal for hunt be seen as a free transfer he gets 25k a week

Cooper has trained and travelled with the squad.
Maybe we've sold him because he never really helps keep a clean sheet let's face it he puts effort in but he gets skinned all the time and never puts an early tackle in just backs off plus he is terrible on the ball. ps I hope austin doesn't go with him but then again austin is not the most consistent performer
If they get there then they deserve it regardless of their fanbase.
I think smiths presence makes us play the long ball. he's no good with his feet, extremely slow off the mark and not great at hold up play although I do rate him as a last ditch impact player but without any wingers he is quite pointless
