Leeds apparently having a minority shareholder take over 30% of the club. Same bloke who owns San Fransisco 49ers, whos got big money. Radz still staying the main shareholder so power still lies, its just another investment from another place. This is good from radz to show he has lots of different ties. I just hope he gives the fans what he wants, he's doing very well at franchising the club and he's chosen a great club to franchise because its a one club city with a huge fan base, very good research mr radrizanni. All I want to see is 18 talented footballers winning games I don't care how they do it or who they spend their money on as long as its worth it in terms of playing football, but more money surely means more opportunities in the window like wolves had last year. the one thing I cannot get my head round, is why on earth is the bloke still employing orta and heck, he maybe needs to develop his ownership skills before giving these two the boot and employing a ranieri or someone, a big name will come to leeds soon I can feel it.

1.) 24 May 2018 09:56:18
Just think how much junk orta can buy now with that sort of money

2.) 24 May 2018 12:26:59
we could get around 20 useless players for that Martyn - I can't wait! We should try to get them on 5 year contracts this time as well.

3.) 24 May 2018 16:16:05
A good number of owners /investors with ties to nfl are looking across the pond . From what I have read so far investment level currently gives them 10% stake . If this is for the squad and we start to use are transfer money in a fashion I think we all agree we should then at most this is two players.

4.) 24 May 2018 18:04:49
Unless sako and ekuban have any brothers?

5.) 24 May 2018 21:29:31
I reckon 3 - 4 players, M&M from Posh, Barts and Abe will do nicely thank you 49ers.

6.) 25 May 2018 01:44:01
For 10 million Alf? Posh want offers over ten mill for m&m and brats is going to be 6mill then the Hernandez wages! Your looking at needing between 20_25 mill

7.) 25 May 2018 10:01:57
I think we will spend in the region of £20 mill this summer with the new investors, plus Radz own budget, on who, I have no clue, but I'm ever optimistic, and think a few may be surprised pleasantly.

8.) 25 May 2018 22:19:04
£2.5 for Maddison, rumours of £6.5 for Marriott, 4 - 5 for Barts and the Jerry money for Abe's wages . £17M ish according to my dodgy maths :) having said that, I think the Posh chairman is pushing his luck with a £6.5M valuation.

9.) 26 May 2018 05:19:14
Yeah. Not a fan of Marriott tbh. Saw him twice last season and a right miserable whining git if you ask me. Not sure he is heavyweight enough for champ!

10.) 26 May 2018 11:45:14
Someone thought Cbicki was heavyweight enough for t' championship ! ! Marriott looks like Mike Tyson next to him :)

08 May 2018 13:02:34
Ins: BPF, Miazek, lnergan, hadbad spell and he was pretty good when he first came into the team) Ayling, Hosannah, Jansson, Oconnor, Struijk, Diaz, Rey, Pearce, Berardi, Denton, Forshaw, Vieira, phillips, shaugnessy, ideguchi, klich, dallas, Hernandez, alioski, roofe struijk, diaz, Clarke, machuca, Edmondson, dalby, gomes, nicell, shackelton, Roberts.

Outs: Felix, cooper, okane, cibicki, sacko, lasogga, ekuban, saiz (be good to get 8-10m from wolves for him) anita, buoy, de bock, ty much everyone who I've slated this year bar roofe. I see roofe staying as hecky likes him and he is the only front line player we have on the books who you could expect to score.

Transfer ins: New GK, speroni perhaps on a free, brad jones or danny ward from Liverpool would also be good imo. New CB, liam moore would be ideal, expensive but a good option, also think liam Lindsay would do well, that bednarek at Southampton also looks good, and at 22 a loan might do him some good. I have a feeling barts could be swayed.

If he was to sign a 2/3 year deal with the club after work from ailing this summer, I think that sends a message out from radz. New LB, all the while I think Pearce is able, he gets injured and we are very light in LB, de bock can go for me. Dentons there but again you need experience, Fabio seems short of games at boro, might be worth a couple million quid?

I actually think were ok for central midfield, klich saying he has unfinished business at leeds is positive for me, him and Forshaw could teach Vieira a lot and I like phillips too. you need 2 wingers at least in my opinion, its great playing dallas and Hernandez there but Hernandez won't see out the end of his contract if you carry on playing him there, he needs to be in that number 10 for me.

leko at west brom looks interesting, brownhill also a good option as Bristol have faded towards the end of the year. oztumer and dack would also be good to get in if possible from league 1, and josh morris from scunny. I have no idea where you start with a striker, don't think mbakogu is the answer, and I don't think you should overload on new strikers but we need someone proven in this league. Hernandez at hull out of contract this year, would be an icredible signing, they love him at hull (I'm from hull unfortunately).

overall you're looking at 15m spending, and for getting rid of that lot (if you can get rid of it all) you're probably talking 15 million back including saiz. then it sup to radz how much further you want to go to ensure play offs. I think itll be another busy summer though.

1.) 08 May 2018 14:13:34
I can see where you're coming from on all points there Samo; an interesting post, and believe you're right that it will be a hectic summer of ins and outs, both sales, and purchases, as well as loans in both directions.

2.) 08 May 2018 16:42:48
A hectic summer of outs if Orta can work some magic. As for ins, not too sure. With a limited budget, going for quality and the threatened emergence of 2 or 3 young guns I can't see a large influx but 3 or 4 marquee signings will keep me more than happy. Either way/ some way I can see a very different squad starting next season, than finished this.

3.) 08 May 2018 17:47:09
It depends on what this "limited" budget is . M and M from posh, Barts, should be around £15M or so . some of the young guns stepping up now n again, an experienced keeper on a free and I reckon that'll just about do it, of course Eleven Sports might decide to invest some extra cash as well ;)

07 Mar 2018 08:41:33
if Bartley and Pablo go to Brum, i'll be broken.

1.) 08 Mar 2018 00:57:53
Don't think either of them will wanna plat league 1 :)

05 Feb 2018 14:29:38
Done my research and for me its all about hannes wolf. The bloke has developed some brilliant youth players in calling them up from youth sides, such as pulisic, weigel, and dembele. He managed dortmund U19's initially, then was approached by stuttgart last season, who had just been relegated to the second german division.

Apparently he likes a high pressing, hard working side which are rough in the tackle and are like a german machine. He got stuttgart promoted at the first time of asking and his odds have been slashed from 25/1 this morning to 8/1 with sky bet. Fits the bill imo, some thing we need, only just sacked due to stuttgart struggling in the bundes again, and could well see us up next year.

1.) 05 Feb 2018 14:44:26
Samowhite5 thanks for the information mate great post

2.) 05 Feb 2018 15:28:43
Sufficiently left field for us, yet as you say, with solid achievements under his belt too. an interesting one, and not in a bad way, IMO.

3.) 05 Feb 2018 16:07:14
Also, young enough to hang out with the under 23s.

4.) 05 Feb 2018 18:28:49
Sounds like heavy metal football samo? Now were have we heard that before lol oh yea that other great German manager we had.

5.) 05 Feb 2018 22:20:07
Hope you're right - I've heard Craig Shakespeare already appointed.

6.) 05 Feb 2018 23:16:33
Think he's favourite for bradford city job

01 Feb 2018 07:20:23
A youth team centre half is likely to be called up this weekend, any ideas who?

1.) 01 Feb 2018 10:37:34
Icelandic kid I reckon

2.) 01 Feb 2018 21:52:58
There'd be no Halme calling him up to the first team, Martyn.

3.) 02 Feb 2018 10:55:17
George do you think cultural leonesi might loan us one of our players back if we ask nicely?

4.) 03 Feb 2018 04:00:39
Probably not Mart

Not been on in a while, not really made any comments on happenings since the 49er's joined. Bielsa a bigger coup than most leeds fans believe, nobody is destined to succeed but I think his tactics may be a bit too much for the likes of chris wilder. Ill be honest i'm not sure what's going to happen by a way of transfers, if vydra signs ill personally be over the moon, but I've read 2 stories this morning saying roofe is wanted by reading for 5m, also read another saying 7m? personally i'd take that any day. with the money I think you then look at Hernandez initially but grabban could be a good option? think we only really need 1 winger, our midfield is pretty good and imo under bielsa I think it will naturally improve. think pearce and ailing have to start, my main concern is surrounding jansson with quality. can see a lot of 3-2's if we sign our attacking targets. Leeds for me are very much a team for form and momentum, with a fan base like ours if we pick up 3 wins on the bounce against good sides we can rock anyone, similarly if we can't beat teams and are conceding ridiculous goals like we did last year, relegation looks a threat. Bielsa is known to pick an 11/15 players and stick to those for the majority of the season, for me its about finding 18 that are all good enough to start.

30 May 2018 08:11:26
Cant help but think if we sign the desired targets a 3 at the back would suit our new manager, just need someone in who knows how to play it. BPF Barts, Ayling, Jansson Coyle, Forhsaw, Klich, Pearce, Hernandez, Hernandez, Saiz LOOK OUT WOLVES WERE COMING

1.) 30 May 2018 08:52:06
Possibly. Hernandez can’t do a full game. Is only an off the bench player

2.) 30 May 2018 09:43:22
Time for Clarke and Edmondson and alioski to step up at that point then isn't it. I also hear were in for a lad from the Bundesliga called Clemens? right hand sided player, good at whipping balls in.

3.) 30 May 2018 10:14:41
Whipping balls sounds painful!

4.) 30 May 2018 21:57:06
Gotta pull you up on that one Aus. After his brief layoff, Pablo was one of the most energetic players on the park, aside from Alioski. And in terms of creativity, once Saiz went off the boil, he was the only real creative spark we had. You can't bench the player of this season simply because of his birth date.

23 May 2018 08:50:45
Looking to next year, we have a good set up in development and I'm over the moon that TP is meant to be signing, shows radz putting his foot down rather than looking at short sighted money. I think he's looking more at, if a young left back can play 35/40 games of a season in a promotion winning side, his value will double compared to what it is now. It is all a business to these gentlemen, hence why they targeted play offs, not automatic, because you get more for at (and the fact that the stretch of our budget was 3.5 mil ON 1 PLAYER) . With a team like this where do you see players like roofe, ekuban, phillips, berardi, dallas, Ideguchi, sacko, murphy, fitting in? Bear in mind this is a back 3 with wing backs. BPF, Jansson, Ayling, Barts, Coyle, Pearce, Forhsaw, Hernandez (playing central alongside Forshaw) , Saiz, Hernandez, Edmondson. To me that could get leeds out of this league, coyle probably a risk, Edmondson too but I think they'll be a good two assets and home grown talent is what we need. Also who else should be making the step up to the first team this year? O'Connor and diaz are unquestionable, Clarke, rey, dalby, kun, struijk, sarkic, machuca, stevens, should probably all fancy their chances.

1.) 23 May 2018 09:09:30
I’d get rid of sack. Eula. And Murphy. Keep the rest. I would love Bart ( who alone would shore up defence and be worth min 10 extra points a season ) and hern but realistically think it will be the same this year as other years. Talk the talk but don’t walk the walk. We will just miss the boat and end up with a few foreigners and a promise of an extra go at January transfer window. Hope I’m wrong of course but apart from Forshaw recently, nothing points to any different tactics. It’s all cheap lazy reporting I reckon.

2.) 23 May 2018 10:32:40
We would receive far less compo if he let's his contract run down then leaves Samo, he could still be sold and we would get more as he's under contract

3.) 23 May 2018 11:03:55
There are so many permutations Samo and each one has its merits. Yours for instance could easily have some of the names waiting in the wings playing in the first team and that's without the likes of Ideguchi and Roberts who for different reasons we have never seen, they could come good.

4.) 23 May 2018 11:54:41
I agree gents I think both ideguchi and Roberts will be good players to have in the ranks based on what we've seen at other clubs and comments made. I fear like most that we have a pile of dross on the wage bill and not enough bartleys or forshaws, saying that look at some of the players boro have an dthey still didn't make it. I think radz will do right in keeping heck on I like the fact he wants to keep it consistent, just don't see heck being the man to bring us back to the big time.

5.) 23 May 2018 13:04:40
It's delaying the inevitable and wasting valuable time imo

21 May 2018 07:10:54
Any major developments over the weekend? Not seen anything myself but I've heard wolves are in for Hernandez too, can't see us competing there. Heard barts and stockdale are both still very much on the cards, and would be two great players to sign up before the world cup. Also heard harry Wilson from Liverpool has been linked, think itd be a good signing based on his performances last season. I'm still hearing knockings of coops to Peterborough? TP alledgedly signing and stockdale being at the fight on Saturday both sound good to me, and finally grosicki and dawson from hull both being told they can leave if the right price comes in for them. grosicki is a quality player, and dawson would be good to have in the ranks for experience for a season. thoughts?

1.) 21 May 2018 13:48:40
James Collins from t' 'hammers been released, 34 but might get a season or two out of him, even as benchwarmer for Pontus or Barts (get him Radz)

2.) 21 May 2018 15:15:49
Emphatic no to Dawson, Samo. We are looking at Gunn from Citeh for season long loan, Stockdale, Barts, Wilson. Paper talk seemingly with McGinn. Wilson would be a cracking signing.

3.) 22 May 2018 04:49:23
Geez, doesn't time stall between seasons. Why do they always have to wait unitl the last minute to confirm the signings. If they are good to go they should just get it done or am I just getting old, grumpy and impatient. Still, will be worth waiting for if some of these names come our way.

18 May 2018 12:17:11
Forget everything else for 5 minutes. heck is lucky and jammy enough to have this job, but anyway, let's go for it. If radz means business and is serious I don't think the managers ability matters, players will play in a comfortable group. Keepers like to start games, and most importantly have a cb pairing who know what they're doing. midfielders like a striker who can score goals because it makes them look better, and vice versa, i'd say we've got the talent in midfield, maybe a classy winger to add and a few to trim it down. on the whoel though I think were pretty sorted there. So the latest developments are that bartley wants leeds, 6m. sign him up do whatever you can. Stockdale and green both free agents, i'd have either I don't think we need both but definitely either. prefer stockale because of an age thing. and Hernandez, a strong, quick poacher whos good enough to be an international for Uruguay if he hits form. if we get 3 out of the 4, ill be over the moon.

1.) 18 May 2018 12:33:46
Who's the two centre backs that know what there doing samo?

2.) 18 May 2018 12:57:39
I have faith that either O'Connor or Shaugnessy will come good next year so even if we do not capture Bartley (and I hope we do) all is not lost.

3.) 18 May 2018 13:27:24
So last season was good enough? Same players leodis same results

4.) 18 May 2018 16:57:13

5.) 18 May 2018 17:29:33
No Martyn I really do hope we sign Bartley, get back to the brick wall partnership of a couple of years ago and build on a watertight defence but, if and when called upon, I have faith that one or both the young lads will show talent. Both have done okay so far whenever called upon.

6.) 18 May 2018 17:54:08
Wouldn't turn my nose up at TP jansonn Bartley and ayling. Even if we swapped Bartley for paudie/nessy, with a decent midfield in front of them and a bit of structure, think it could do a job myself!

The coach isn't signing the players here bilko I think that's quite obvious considering yiadom wasn't signed. To me the coach will be giving a list of hwta he wants, bartley will be signed as one for the fans, and orta will go out and do his best to get what the manager wants. to be honest, I thin kwhat Christiansen asked for was a little tricky gem, saiz, I think he wanted a holding midfielder, Forshaw, a left back, de bock who never came good, and a pacey skilful winger and a poacher as that's what he was in his day, alioski and lasogga. in fairness, that's what he got, the wheels just fell off under TC. I think if we get bielsa and he's very, very clear and precise about what he wants, he will do well.

Pontus, Kyle, Luke
Pearce, Forhsaw, Dallas
Saiz, Hernandez, Goncalves

Bub was on 150,000 a week in his last job, I think for leeds and the quality of the division he'll drop to 100000 at worst, are you forgetting that other 5 million hess? 35 million on just transfers and a manager after paying off whatever heck was on is a hell of a lot. Phil hay has said we can't afford bartley, Hernandez, vydra and bielsa, I think we'll get 2 out of the 4, vydra and bielsa. Hernandez i'd love and I think we need him the most but I don't see it for some reason, unless it happens today or tomorrow its too late and his head will have been turned by gala. I get the feeling bielsa doesn't like barts, and has his own ideas of who he wants in from abroad, but again who knows if even bielsa is coming. the whole summer depends on if bub turns up in his big black tracksuit shouting Spanish at the camp and only Hernandez understanding what he's saying.

Couldn't agree more aus. Why would you want a man in charge who has to actually debate whether he wants to come. The man received 8m in a year in his last job managing, that's more than most of the players in this league. He may be a 'footballing father' but ranieri won th eleague above 2 years ago. That's like eddie howe going to Burton? Bottom line, get someone whos proven, and understands what it means to be the leeds manager, and how much of a hero theyd be if they took us back up. The hernandez thing, I understand he is after a financial incentive. The sort of contract leeds will be looking at will most likely be 40k a week, with a goal bonus clause included I would imagine, the man is fairly injury prone so this seems fair. The fault we have here is that galatasaray and celtic can both offer champions league and top division football. He's leaving hull because they're a mess financially, we need to show our balls here leeds. Either way away and recruit someone else or sign your priorities.

Would like to see him back with barley. he's been average this season but has had his work cut out by playing with cooper, berardi, ailing, oconnor and shaugnessy all next to him at CB. If he had someone else with him whos good enough theyd be formidable, I think he just needs to realise he's not better than leeds.

Think alioski would do better up front imo, more of an eye for goal. To be honest I am bored of setting up in a 4231, and think that if ranieri comes thatll change. I can see him playing his usual 442, and playing Hernandez alongside Forshaw in the middle, and Hernandez up top with Edmondson, saiz and Clemens on the wings, oh a man can dream.
