if Bartley and Pablo go to Brum, i'll be broken.

1.) 08 Mar 2018 00:57:53
Don't think either of them will wanna plat league 1 :)

05 Feb 2018 14:29:38
Done my research and for me its all about hannes wolf. The bloke has developed some brilliant youth players in calling them up from youth sides, such as pulisic, weigel, and dembele. He managed dortmund U19's initially, then was approached by stuttgart last season, who had just been relegated to the second german division.

Apparently he likes a high pressing, hard working side which are rough in the tackle and are like a german machine. He got stuttgart promoted at the first time of asking and his odds have been slashed from 25/1 this morning to 8/1 with sky bet. Fits the bill imo, some thing we need, only just sacked due to stuttgart struggling in the bundes again, and could well see us up next year.

1.) 05 Feb 2018 14:44:26
Samowhite5 thanks for the information mate great post

2.) 05 Feb 2018 15:28:43
Sufficiently left field for us, yet as you say, with solid achievements under his belt too. an interesting one, and not in a bad way, IMO.

3.) 05 Feb 2018 16:07:14
Also, young enough to hang out with the under 23s.

4.) 05 Feb 2018 18:28:49
Sounds like heavy metal football samo? Now were have we heard that before lol oh yea that other great German manager we had.

5.) 05 Feb 2018 22:20:07
Hope you're right - I've heard Craig Shakespeare already appointed.

6.) 05 Feb 2018 23:16:33
Think he's favourite for bradford city job

01 Feb 2018 07:20:23
A youth team centre half is likely to be called up this weekend, any ideas who?

1.) 01 Feb 2018 10:37:34
Icelandic kid I reckon

2.) 01 Feb 2018 21:52:58
There'd be no Halme calling him up to the first team, Martyn.

3.) 02 Feb 2018 10:55:17
George do you think cultural leonesi might loan us one of our players back if we ask nicely?

4.) 03 Feb 2018 04:00:39
Probably not Mart

31 jan 2018 11:33:17
bartley is in leeds for a 6 month loan move over wolves

1.) 31 Jan 2018 11:43:34
Would be a superb signing, although has he not had an operation recently?

2.) 31 Jan 2018 12:46:20
He was playing for his club at the weekend I think.

3.) 31 Jan 2018 13:07:18
On the bench last night for Swansea so must be match fit. MM

4.) 31 Jan 2018 14:10:16
Could just be that lack off leadership we need too give them all the kick up the arse they need . would be a shrewd loan for remaining off the season. 👍⚽️😃

5.) 31 Jan 2018 16:45:21
He's ten times better than Cooper. He and pontius was quality last year.

30 Jan 2018 08:24:16
Leeds Linked with moise kean last week, got a brace away from home against fiorentina on sunday, watch him be big

Not sure what most of you would think to this but hear me out. BPF gets the number 1 kit, unnanounced in summer, suggests were not looking to sign another keeper. lonergan goes, and we do sign a backup. Wied gets axed completely, and sold early on in january back to a german club. Pontus stays, ayling is back fit, and becomes captain, we sign another foregin CB who compliments jansson, and berardi remains at LB with pearce the next best option. Pearce begins to play more towards the back end of the season, and becomes a regular. forshaw is partnered with a revitalised klich next year, phillips stays, okane moves on to a new club, ideguchi and vieira come back in to fight for spots. hernandez signs another deal with huge bonuses if we go up, and makes it his last year playing, and then stays as coaching staff for a year before leaving to go back to his sunny villa in spain. saiz is sold for between 9 and 12 million, and we use it to sign bradley dack, and oztumer. two players potentially good enough to replace him under hecky. alioski stays on another year, and is a bit hit and miss, in and out of the team, relaced by dallas on occasion, and the right wing spot is never really cemented. Antonsson comes back from loan and stays, lasogga doesn't sign for us, he signs for a pl side like stoke. roberts comes back and is fit. grot continues with 23's up top with sarkic, who both get their chance later in the season. ekuban is sold to another championship side. cibicki, sacko, roofe, de bock, all go. Is that too unrealistic or could anybody else see us playing with either antonsson or roberts next year. two players i think could be good, but will they be enough? they're certainly not a gayle, or a murray, or a mitrovic, or a wood, but they both chip in with 10 goals a piece. as for league position, who knows depends who stays and who goes in the league. i'd like this team a lot more if BPF was in, ayling was captain, klich performed better, ideguchi was an option, antonsson performed, we saw tyler roberts, hernandez stayed, and saiz left.

1.) 12 Mar 2018 08:30:20
Very good mystic meg. Are you Bradley decks agent by any chance?

2.) 12 Mar 2018 08:44:16
All quite realistic if you ask me, only major changes are that saiz goes and we sign 2 new boys to replace him. Ayling becomes captain, not unlikely, and we sign a new CB, not unlikely.

3.) 12 Mar 2018 11:18:12
Agree with most of it Samo just a few tweaks. If we don't get a new keeper then I can see Lonergan as back up tp BPF. Personally I would try Forshaw as Capt. Nothing against Ayling but I always think that the Capt should be in the middle of the park. Bera (or U23) should be at RB with Pearce at LB. Saiz going for big money, who knows. but we must have at least one creative midfielder with a good touch. I suppse it's just not in the locker of that sort of player to track back and defend but if there is one out there let's grab him. The only way I would keep Alioski is if he; beefs up and stays vertical and goes at/past defenders with ease. Possibly all our surmising could be affected if some of these "ones for the future" grab their chance, Shaugnessy, O'Connor, Stevens Kun, Clarke etc. etc.

12 Mar 2018 07:23:53
Keep BPF in the shirt, lads done well, 180 minutes and no wiedwald classics, no drops, looks confident kicking, mixes it up with dead balls, not afraid to run out at an attacker. First goal admittedly wasnt great to concede from a keepers point of view, second he couldn't have done much about, thought all in all though, at 1-0 down he kept us in it for large parts. It is proving so clear that we need a striker. Look at the top 4 teams, they all have 2 if not 3 if not 4 proven championship strikers. wolves, bonatini, afobe. cardiff, zohore, madine. Villa, kodjia, hogan. Derby, bent, nugent, weimann, vydra, jerome. Fulham, mitro, ayite, fonte. You get the point i'm making. We never truly replaced wood, barts or taylor, we've all said it. I think it'll be an interesting summer, let's hope orta is as good as selling rubbish players as he is at buying them.

1.) 12 Mar 2018 08:31:23
180 mins and only 5 conceded

2.) 12 Mar 2018 09:37:51
He was only at fault for one of those martyn pal. four others due to pee poor defending.

3.) 12 Mar 2018 11:24:12
All he is is a young lad showing a lot of promise. I just hope that when he has a bad game, and he will, everyone does not immediately crucify him. To a certain extent a good goalie is only as good as his defence and once that is sorted out whoever is in goal will start recording clean sheets.

4.) 12 Mar 2018 13:27:30
Totally agree Leo!

10 Mar 2018 08:22:17
Team for today would be: BPF, Bera, Jansson, Pennington, Pearce, Vieira, Forshaw, Dallas, Hernandez, Saiz, Ekuban. Would love to see young vieiera, clarke, and maybe sarkic on the bench too. Lasogga needs a rest imo, not getting enough service.

1.) 10 Mar 2018 08:35:32
Thats a good shout Samo I'd go along with that! blood the best of the youngsters for the last 10 games I say

2.) 10 Mar 2018 08:55:35
I'd like to see Anita given a chance along side forshaw If still pump then get rid

3.) 10 Mar 2018 09:18:56
No anita. No eukaban. No pennington. No vierra. U23 s please

4.) 10 Mar 2018 09:33:12
I'd like to see that Paudie lad have a game, heard he's a bit good :)

5.) 10 Mar 2018 10:22:18
Which of the 4 names i mentioned above deserve a game? Why the thumbs down?

6.) 10 Mar 2018 12:11:12
Samo, think I would agree only might leave Dallas out for a more central midfield type and have Hern and Saiz as the wide players in a 433 with the ball and 451 without as away from home . Reading will play possession football and knock it around

08 Mar 2018 16:13:49
Look at it this way. If you created a best 11 for the championship, how many of them would play for leeds? 1 maybe, and that'd be jansson. even then i think boly and terry are better than him. So what about the best 18? still probably 0. The second best team, how about that, i'd say jansson and saiz might make the cut, and ayling could probably push for right back? but after these 3, who would actually make it into the top 50 players in this league that play for league? and how many play for cardiff? derby? Villa? Wolves etc the list goes on, leeds as a squad are nowhere near where we need to be, that's my take, and the results and position highlight this.

1.) 08 Mar 2018 16:47:05
Doubt if Janssen or siaz would make it. What have they done to deserve it

2.) 08 Mar 2018 18:15:09

3.) 08 Mar 2018 18:44:09
They look good because they are surrounded by s. t

4.) 08 Mar 2018 19:58:38
Barring a couple of games, Pontus has been poor this season.

5.) 08 Mar 2018 20:28:13
Totally agree Bright,

6.) 08 Mar 2018 21:10:53
i think saiz is real qaulity and one of the best in the league, pontus is ok but bit overrated however I do think we have the best right back in aling, if he is not the best i honestly believe he is right up there just a shame he has been out and bardi is a 6 out of ten at best

7.) 09 Mar 2018 06:33:39
Now wield has hopefully gone for good. i'm turning my attention to anita. What is he doing. He runs around. And runs around. Dosent actualy seem to make a tackle or touch the ball that often. It seems like he tries his best not to be anywhere near a tackle. This is not good for a defender. He makes me laugh. Oh he shouldn't should he or was he bought for his funny onfield habits? And to have him and sacko on the same side was even more hilarious. One dosent like tackling and the other can only run in a straight line and usually leaves the ball behind. Quite hilarious really. Wolves were good though!

8.) 09 Mar 2018 09:15:43
sorry aus disagree Antia is a championship promotion midfeilder playing at left back. When we have Phillips who is one of the most pointless players to ever wear our shirt. Play anita in the middle burn phillps on the pitch to make the grass better and all will be better with life

9.) 09 Mar 2018 10:24:33
Nope. He can't tackle bw. He is scared.

10.) 09 Mar 2018 10:53:57
not sure I think he did well at Newcastle and while maybe not the best player in the league is a mile better than phillips, I honestly think me at his age and fit was better than phillips and I played right wing or in goal but still I was better than Phillips

11.) 09 Mar 2018 14:30:16
And berahdi? Bw?

07 Mar 2018 16:13:15
Bold i know, but my team for tonight goes as follows: BPF, (forget wied he's dross) Bera, Jansson, Pennington, De Bock, alioski, forshaw, vieira, dallas, saiz, lasogga hernandez be back on the bench, wied on the bench too, longshot about cooper not starting as he's our captain for some bizzarre reason, anita dropped all together, sacko pushing for a place at half time / 60 minutes in, phillips and ekuban make up the bench

1.) 07 Mar 2018 17:05:49
Can't see him dropping Cooper, I would but don't see it

2.) 07 Mar 2018 17:46:25
Can't really argue much Samo. BPF is a big gamble and I think I would squeeze in Hernandez, prob at the expense of Alioski. I like the man's efforts but for me a little too lightweight.

Youre right, but for 5 minutes forget attacking and goals, there's no point scoring a lot of goals or even having a lot of shots if you can't keep the opposition out at the other end, . you may as well play with 2 at the back and just let it be an attack v defence game. It appears more and more evident that the players train seperately and in seperate groups, to the extent that the defenders can all pass the ball between them, so can the midfielders, and lasogga can't even get the ball to feet its been the same all season. lump it to the big man and see what he does, watch like lemons. there's a clear divide within the players, and what good is it passing it sideways. All credit to wolves, they play some seriously attractive but brutal football, i was really impressed. In honesty their goals weren't too classy, the last one exceptional, but that's the difference between a top team and a below par underachieving team. We were once that team, against brum at home we played shocking football, but we ground out a result and carried on to the end, proved by dallas' goal. Since september, leeds have lost 16 games. Weve played 29. there's a false hope around the club. we had expectations because radz bigged us up at the beginning of the year. where do we go from here? hecky in charge next year imo, he's got one of those faces and backgrounds and stories that the efl seem to love, sky love to interview managers like him, if we get a bit of momentum i think he could do well at leeds, but that won't happen this year. If you haven't written off the play-offs, i would. I thought i'd be the last one to do so, but I've been to or watched all of the last 500 minutes of leeds football and it is so poor. there is one, very, very minor light at the end of this tunnel for me, and its that young lad BPF, he seemed to look big in his goal, much more of a presence, and for once i wasnt heavily judging or worrying about our goalkeeper, i was more assessing him to see if he could cope. I think he deserves another start, made saves and committed in situations i don't think wied would have. he's another useful one to play as well because even if we do see another better goalkeeper come in in summer, he might have had enough time to prove himself and go out on loan at a better team. brutally honest, sell saiz, the man has got premier league quality, no doubt, but he's got a bad reputation discipline wise, and in all honesty, if you sold him for maybe 8-10 million, that's 2 great players for this level, just as long as the right person is scouting them. If derby go up i think brad johnson shoudl come back, he won't get much time in the PL imo and i think to pair him with forshaw wed have a good balance there. We revolve a team and a formation to suit saiz, and i think that's crypitc. To me, the best thing we can do is get players in shirts who are english, understand the game, the league, the passion of leeds fans, the way that forshaw and co do. Jansson is one of a kind to be honest, bit of a one off in terms of his passion, it was a great spot from monk. Based on last night, and their performances that I've seen this season, the players that should walk are wied, lonergan, berardi, cooper, pennington, anita, de bock, sacko, alioski, okane, cibicki, saiz, lasogga, ekuban, grot. there's a full starting 11 there of players that orta has signed which are not good enough for this league, or certainly not in a leeds shirt at least. it'll take time, a few snatches from the premier league of cheap, fairly old players (30-33) and some experience of this league, mixed with an attacking threat, and youve got yourself an understanding leeds team. I do think we need about 8 new experienced players, and it won't come cheap but it will be worth it. I also think one who I've nto really mention, bradley dack, is one we should go for.

its just not good enough really is it, makes you wonder what a job monk did, then again, look at the assets he had, and look at the dispense radz was left with. I think when the statement came out before the bolton game that 'we are aiming for the play offs' everyone was a bit shocked to see so much ambition with a new unproven manager, and not half the talent in the ranks, this is before wed seen saiz play, no forshaw, he said that based on hernandez, ayling and jansson being our only proven performers, and with everybody thinking wood and taylor were off. naive mr radz, spend your money righ this summer please.

league 1 and 2 will take all of those players. I think we give klich and antonsson another chance to be honest, they've proved their quality in their respective loans, but for me the rest can go. If you get 500k for each of those players, its a hell of a cut on the wage bill, okane and wied both on 6k a week, roofe on 8, grok cibicki sacko all on 4, you're saving 18k a week, and about 3m. for 2 million you could buy danny ward, and he'd probably want 12k a week being at liverpool and feyenoord. then youve got 1 million and 6k to contribute with radz money towards a new player

So you want to play a lad who came in as a right back initially, who failed there, failed at lb, and now you want to try him in CM? the boy can pass, ok. your best midfield 2 right now for me is forshaw and dallas. i fully understand why norwich were after him, he's such a hard working player, he gets us up the pitch, he hasn't got the skill element of a winger but he can cross a ball. anita is no where near good enough, and was made to look good last year by matt ritchie who worked hard all the way down the right, defending and attacking. I've said it for so long that there is so much dead wood in this squad that we cannot afford to be paying the wages of.

HES 21 YEARS OLD. why isn't he at least in the 23's? makes absolutely no sense does it. completely agree leo if he's such a good talent and will be at the world cup he muct be worth a punt, surely, even if he can't speak english football is a game of intelligence and knowing where other players are going to be, playing around experienced players like hernandez and forshaw will surely help him? makes no sense imo

wiedwald has played in a top european division for a good standard team, BPF has played in a youth team for leeds, which admittedly is a good standard now, but the two don't really match up do they. BPF showed signs of a keeper who can do well, rather than wied showing sings of one who does, 1 in every 10 games.

forshaw, lasogga, dallas, jansson, saiz, hernandez, ayling, have all been new signings in the last 2 years, keep that and there's a core to work with, and someone is doing something right. admittedly jansson and hernandez were loans who orta just signed up, but forshaw and saiz are his business. if we keep all of these players, and find a striker and a goalkeeper as good as forshaw and saiz, then were on it
