Slovenian goalkeeper Darjan Curanovic hopes his trial at Leeds is successful enough to secure him a permanent switch to Elland Road.

The 27-year-old stopper was close to sealing a move to Middlesbrough and Portsmouth last season but nothing materialised.

And now Curanovic hopes that Yorkshire could be the place for him as he looks to fulfil his dream of playing in England.

"One of the goalies at Leeds United hurt his arm so they invited me to train with them. If everything goes by the plan there is also a chance for me to sign for Leeds, " he told Sport TV.

"Every player dreams about playing in England so I really hope that this will become reality for me. "

This story has already been rubbished - see below.
Its just lazy journalism. No Leeds Keeper has an arm injury either. Check out Thom Kirwins tweets. This story is bull ****.

2.) How many more goalies do we actually need then?

On OS Adryan signed
Season loan deal with view to perm deal.
Surely MC will speak with and offer a decent contact to a coach/mgr. Adryan Sloth ect won't settle for a Wackaday Hockaday so there must be someone lined up who is not con or L2/1. Dig deep MC your most important signing is about to be down to you, just remember tho, you get what you pay for. Show the commitment expect some back but let the guy breathe,,,, he may know more than you,,,, take it on board and be in the prem for breakfast.

A realistic option on GRADEL IS a loan deal first .?
His French club have reportedly put him up for sale this week(6.12.13) as they look to bring in Guillaume Hoarau from his Chinese nightmare with Dalian Aerbin in January - so they must now consider ways of cutting the wage bill before doing so.

Gradel has recently recovered from an injury which kept him out of action for a number of months and has only played a handful of games for the club this season.

With a World Cup coming up and Gradel dreaming of being in attendance with The Elephants he needs first-team football - so why not return to the club where he had two great seasons?

Obviously cost would be an issue. Investment is due but whether it would be enough to actually sign the player is another question entirely. But a loan deal which saw Leeds take on a share of his wages for the season might just be perfect.

Saints have told a number of their fringe players that they can leave the club this summer.

The first-team squad returned to pre-season training this week, but some players were absent.

Outside of those granted extra rest due to international duty, the likes of Billy Sharp, Dean Hammond, Lee Barnard, Richard Chaplow, Steve De Ridder and Tadanari Lee were not thought to be present.
It is understood there are no plans for them to attend the pre-season tour, although they could report in for some training this month if they have not found a new club.
Pochettino confirmed the players do not form part of his plans.
Billy Sharp, De Ridder and Tadanari Lee decent players proven at championship level worth a look. Highly thought of down here MOT

1.) You guys should sign sharp if he wants to go back up north. he deserves a big club. Lee is class if you can keep him fit but has been injured most of the time with us. De Ridder skillful and fast but no final ball, tbf he didn't get hardly any starts even under Adkins so might prove to be good if he starts a few games in succession but can see him going back to Belgium or holland

2.) Thanks for giving us your time for the info mate, top man.

3.) Lol dnt want de ridder he's 1 of the top 5 worst players in the prem. lee is good but hardly need another sick note and sharp wouldn't fit in

Totally agree with his growing support for Clarke but MC will decide no matter what. If todays reported signing come off this may sway the like Clarke to come (if asked)

IMO Steve Clarke has a vast amount of coaching skills and quality, experience gained from his Newcastle days with Gullit and Chelsea with Mourinho. Worked as assistant also under Zola at West Ham. Success with Liverpool coaching, First managerial position with West Brom is arguably considered a success - Manager of the month (once), finishing 8th.
6 major honours as a player, incl Chelsea player of the year 94.
MC, stick you're long haul hat on and grab Clark. Change you ways and take advice from those around you, You all work for our club.
He has the credentials its up to you to show your commitment to him, nice long contract maybe. Give us stability.
The others in the race are either unknown qualities or we have been there before, New blood and vision needed, after all 12/13/14 new players to deal with. So deal with it. MOT
