Everyone will know by now Brian has gone but I would just like to say his statement was excellent and obviously from the heart, the amount of times he still said "we" and "us" is very commendable to a man who I think the majority of fans wanted him to do well. Thank you for trying Brian wether u just wasn't good enough or wether the rubbish that was happening around u clouded your judgement, I think u will be very welcome back as a fan or as a manager.

Tigerman

1.) Totally agree about his final statement, a gent to the last. Now was he sacked or has the story goes "it was mutual" what ever happened he's gone now anyway, and tbh I know he had a lot going on around him, but he was a terrible manager, look at the players he got in and never played only when he had no choice he had to play them, imo he ruined Byram, I think Carbone has got the job already imo, think Ross will use this as an excuse to leave for big wages now, hope he doesn't tbh he's is only one out of a few with real quality, hope we don't buy lots of italians don't think that is the answer maybe 2 or 3, plenty released players out there that could do a job, look what Burnley did, Going to be very interesting now that's for sure.

2.) Well said tigerman

3.) 31 May 2014 09:37:38
Yeah thanks Brian you are a true Gent and you and your staff did your best under very difficult circumstances. I don't blame Brian I blame GFH. MOT

4.) VERY
Well put tigerman, we only know half of what he had to put up with INCLUDING players he had to bring in because GFH would not get the players he really wanted.

5.) Well said, B Mc D always did the job with great passion for the club .
As I predicted M C made his job impossible!
I do wish the guy all the best as I believe he had Leeds best interests at heart .
But he did play players who did not perform Hunt, Kebe .

6.) 31 May 2014 10:06:00
You can't be an Owner/Chairman and a Manager. They require different skills and unless the Manager is allowed to manage then there is no point in having one. I hope the obvious 'influence' that MC shows in 'daily affairs' isn't our undoing in the long run.
MOT

7.) All very well-judged and appropriately gentlemanly statements. Not messy, acrimonious or expensive for the club -well-managed and, most importantly, the right decision. It clearly wasn't going to work -the club undoubtedly needs 'fresh energy.' Thanks for your efforts Brian, and all the best for the future.

Worst manager ever gets credit for being the worst manager ever, crazy world we live in now, if I was worst ever at my job I would be sacked on the spot, social media has earned the worst manager 1, 2, 3 million of OUR money, MOT

Please guys let's not has redders in charge, he's a fantastic youth coach but he's tried this job before and it's not worked for him or us, yes we won today but on another day we could have easily lost. Let him stay and do whT he is great at, coaching the youth lads

Tigerman

1.) Agree with you tigerman. NR doing great job with the youth teams. We don't want to lose him. MC has to make the right appointment to harness the talent at the club. Think there will be plenty of interest for the job. Whp wouldn't want the opportunity of being a hero and leading the mighty Leeds back where they belong. Worst that can happen is the sack with a pay off! We all want the same thing. Leeds playing gpod football and back in PL. Keep the faith. MOT.

Sounds to me like next week could be a big week in terms of transfers for us, this will either add fuel to those that think mc is all talk or will keep them quiet for a while. Hoping the later and just remember just because we haven't heard of them doesn't mean there carp. Look at snoddy and bechio for a couple of examples. Come on mc you look like your getting on top of the debts nows the time to show the ambition you have. I believe in u and so do plenty of others but the longer it goes without any meaningful signings the more the murmuring will grow louder

Tigerman

1.) Tiger
Think you could be right, I know 3 players that have held talks with us in the last 10 days. I wondered why we hadn't signed any of them until I was told about transfer embargo.

Come on MC ;)

Just watched the interview with Massimo and hockaday and got to say as some have said that if words turn into actions then it could be better than we thought. Hockaday I thought spoke really well seemed confident and relaxed which can only be a good thing. And it's also nice wether people believe him or not to have an honest owner, he's paid off plenty of debt so far but playing wise and ground wise I know he's not done anything yet but I just get the feeling he has leeds at heart already. I doubt there is many people who would go thru all the crap he has doneto get this club and still be smiling, don't get me wrong it could all go tits up early but at least we know Massimo isn't afraid to change it and admit he made a mistake.
Ps did seem rather smarmy that hockaday kept calling Massimo "president" or was that just me

I do wonder about this hockaday thing as we all do but I've got a theory as to how and why he's getting the job. Possibly out of all the guys mc interviewed maybe he was the biggest "yes man" out of the lot, he sees this as his big shot deserved or not and would be willing to say/do anything to get it so I wonder if he's just gone in there and agreed with everything mc wants and I'm guessing the others (being respected coaches) didn't fall into line as much as him. Like I say just a theory because to be honest like most I'm struggling to see what he's going to bring to our club

Seen a few posts on here and other places not happy that Massimo hasn't bought the ground yet don't know wether its worth a poll or not ed but what would fans prefer first, investment in the squad or buying back the ground and thorp arch I know we'd all prefer both and it probably will happen but what first? I know what I would like then the ground will pay for itself when we get promoted

Tigerman

{Ed003's Note - I'll put it forward tiger cheers.}

1.) Will Cellino fall foul of UEFA's fair play rules if he pumps a load of his own money in. I thought maximum of owners straight cash was £6m.

That's living in an ideal world I'm afraid Pablo football and the contracts are so different from the real world. I do feel for the guy though because he is a good pro and wants to score and play well for us its not like he's sulking like some do

I was just coming on to ask the same thing mate, just wanted to enjoy the moment first but I'd like to know what or hopefully if the fl can do anything about it now, surely u can't appeal an appeal or what would be the point in having an appeal process in the first place. Can't wait to hear what Massimo has to say about it all, only been involved with us for a few months and already u can fill a book with quality quotes. I wasn't sure which way this appeal would go but I always said Massimo must know something to A, still want to go thru all this and B plow all that money in with the hint of a chance of losing that money

I don't know for sure but we've maybe signed him or close to but he'll be joining in the summer won't he with window being closed, only way I think we could get him now is if he got out of his contract first. But I get where your coming from I've read loads about it all but nothing saying its going to be the summer

Window doesn't need to be open for us to sign players though! Plenty of other teams are signing players

So someone how calls themselves leeds for a long time wants to try and put them out of business for one player sale, nice one thought that sort of talk ended long ago and I'd hoped it never returned. Really hope your in the minority. So what would u do if we sold Ross and bought a guy that did as well if not better would u still expect everyone to boycott. Get a grip mate and I've restrained myself in that post too

Don't be expecting to battle the likes of Liverpool again without a decent coach! Whoever he chooses will be just as important as mc is to the club. Doesn't need to be a big name I actually agree but we need someone who knows what there doing on the training pitch and on match days or we may as well have kept Brian

Yet again u and jeff posting stuff after the events have happened, if u heard that then why didn't u say anything at the time? I could say that, I was told on the Friday night that mc was going to win his appeal because the lawyer told me so, do u or anyone else believe it? If he wants cred back then he wants to start telling us things that are going to happen before they do not after because we can all do that

He may turn out to be a very good manager but I agree with u, I don't rate him, he's won a league in which he has very little opposition and one game against barca whete they got battered and only the keeper stopped it from being a cricket score. But I disagree with the last bit I think there will be plenty of British managers out there wanting to join leeds if the chance came, just because Massimo says he's the manager wouldn't stop them, they would know who was really doing the proper football ground work, they may not buy the players but Massimo would be daft if he got a guy in and didn't even consult him in signing people. If we do get rid if BMC then I hope we go for malkay or like other poster Steve Clarke
