Casper Sloth signed 3 year deal, subject to medical.

ValleyWhite

1.) Hope he comes good, I can honestly see in the next few years a few of these unknowns were buying full filling there potential and either being legends at the club or being sold on for huge profits, hope they all stick together but at the worst we will make a few quid to start the process all over again. MOT

2.) How do we know he's signed

3.) 23 Aug 2014 19:13:40
another new playso how many are we getting and we lose and get bloody worse i'd manage leeds and yes I could sunday football yes but i've never lost hockaday forest green without him 2nd last year what 17 games 3 wins so I thing get the hell out of LEEDS

In talks with Rotheram over Agard, confirmed by Phil Hay in the YEP.

Someone pinch me.

ValleyWhite

1.) Someone tell cellino that I would personally wipe his backside for a month if he pulls this off.

{Ed003's Note - bloody hell ! lmao.}

2.) Getting to love this week. Gog massimo go

{Ed003's Note - just don't go wiping backsides he'll end up chafing.}

3.) I must be dreaming.

Any Cellino doubters out their got anything to say now?

{Ed003's Note - You bring the sudocrem.}

4.) Massimo getting stuff doooooooonee!

5.) Come on Cellino keep going. We will have some right options for attacking positions. Doukara, Sharp, Smith, Agard, Poleon, Ajose. Oh and see you later Noel and Steve.

6.) If MC pulls it off I will buy him a RUBY MURRAY everyday for a month Northern eeeew

7.) It's out and out wingers we need, not another striker!. He can play on wing but his main role is striker. Certainly not proven at our level. For me it would be a bad signing!

8.) I won't be signing cellinos praises until agard has signed on the dotted line

9.) Be a brilliant signing, Agard and Delort and that's it done. champions.

10.) Liked the look of the lad has pace, if played on right wing cuts in well and can score .
Think Byram will be used on left, unless someone makes offer M C can't refuse .

11.) Wouldn't say champions, probably 2nd though ;)

Viviani negotiations still on going, waiting on 'answers from Cellino.'

Source; Phil Hay.

ValleyWhite

1.) If it was that important to MC why wasn't he there. Italians in general would see this as derogatory & showing a lack of respect. From Viviani's standpoint he'd think he's of limited importance.
It may not seem it but I've been behind MC from the very beginning but he does make some silly mistakes, the biggest being Shockerdave. How could any highly regarded player come here for anything other than money or a chance to showcase themself for a higher move. These foriegn players don't seem much better than what's already here so if MC doesn't want to waste that 15mil I suggest Hock goes & we get a coach players can believe in & follow that with quality signings instead of 2nd division players with no experience of Championship. I like Bianchi & Sylvestri but Doukara is just another Poleon with no end product & a goal now n then. Our team tomorrow will resemble a weakened one to last ssn but basically a very similar lineup. Were going to rely heavily on Byram, Pearce, Smith & a great youngster in Cook. Bianchi may come good but right now we're toothless imo. MC needs to stop with the cheap imports & actually buy some quality, oh & actually be there to negotiate as he's making all the decisions. Sorry to sound negative but disaster is very close atm unless we do something fast.

What's done is done. Hockaday is the new coach and is getting on his back will benefit the club in no way. Give him a chance and let's stop writing him off before we've played a game.

ValleyWhite

1.) Totally agree

2.) Hockaday isn't a name to attract good players. Massimo Cellino is.
I expect that the plan for this season will be to blood a lot of youngsters and we now have a coach who has pretty wide experience of working with kids.
Kids, however, will not get us promoted but nobody expects this to happen. Hockaday is an interim measure, in my opinion. He knows how to coach, won't be in as a 'yes man' as many seem to think. Will get more freedom than you might expect, to choose the team and tactics. He may even - and I haven't seen one of these at Leeds in nearly 15 years - he may even have a 'Plan B'.
Personally, I'll reserve judgement on whether he's ultimately any good for the long term aims of the club until at least Christmas.
He's here to bring on the kids and given how well our academy guys are doing, promoting one of them to the top spot would simply mean losing them in a year or two when Cellino pulls the trigger. Better to keep them where they are and put someone you can afford to lose in the head coach role.
This isn't the worst appointment ever. We're not going to be buying stars this summer. We're going to be blooding new ones this season.
That in itself is a pretty high risk strategy but, come Christmas we'll know. the court cases will be done. more money will be freed up as the rest of the dross come to the end of their contract and we're all ready to go with a decent push in 2015/16 when I don't expect Hockaday to be the man in charge, anyway.
Cellino's taking a pretty clever risk which could seriously backfire but, at least it's a more interesting development than bringing in a known manager who lines his own pocket and brings in his buddies.
Bring on the kids.

3.) Well said mate. Wether we like it or not. We have got him and its not his fault. Who wouldn't turn the job down in his position? So let's back him
at least he wants the job. May surprise a few I think

4.) 20 Jun 2014 11:40:22
To true to both of the last posts ,hopefully M C will attract some decent players in his interview there was a hint of trying to get rid of current players ,dead wood ,or am I the only one who got that impression

5.) We'll see what happens in say 3 months

6.) I agree with the above statements except didn't the kids do well for dreary Oleary!
Think kids who haven't been paid thousands will do a job for you, might be a bit naive but at least they will give ya 100% commitment n effort not like the Drabble last season ;)

7.) Here here give him a chance! Let's be fair he can't do any worse M.O.T

8.) Let's see if your all talking like this when were in the relegation dog fight. If he was any good don't you think he would he would have been snapped up in his 20 yrs of managing/coaching by a big club not stuck in lower leagues? I for one ain't holding my breath for success under him

9.) Maybe we won't be so happy come the end of the season but at least if we don't rate him by then we will have some basis to be negative, but what's the point in writing him off before a ball has been kicked? I'd rather get behind the team and the manager until he gives me a reason to slate him. At the end of the day it gets dark and we all want the same thing as leeds supporters so no point arguing with each other.

10.) Martyn G
Another victor Meldrew on the site ffs, wake up man If he don't cut the mustard he will be gone.
MC will buy the players and wackaday coach them, your NOT going to get a top manager/coach being told who to play I'm afraid!
Like it or lump it ;(

11.) Andy MOT it's not been a victor meldrew I'm just been a realist and saying what tens of thousands more are thinking. Listen to what the forest green fans say about him he talks a good excuse does that remind you of anyone (warnock) this could possibly be the worst signing/mistake this once great club has ever made, I'm betting Carbone has taken control of first team affairs before Christmas.

12.) I'm with Martyn_g. Just because it's done! Doesn't mean we should approve! If MC employed Coco the Clown should we get behind him too just because it had "been done"? How many clowns do we "get behind" before the circus ends? Leeds need a quality manager to take us forward! Not a roll of the dice in the hope Wackaday MAY come good! We deserve better than that! MOT

13.) Martyn G
Tens of thousands? Where do you get your figures from GFH?
If your a supporter support the team you love, if Wackaday don't cut it after 12 months by all means moan, groan and shout but for god sake give the guy a chance!

14.) Andy wake up and smell the coffee, I've given every manager a chance to do well but his track record is worse than any other manager/coach we have ever had, before getting sack from NON LEAGUE F/green he lost 7 out of 8 games so what makes you think he's any chance of cutting it here? If he was really any good do you not think he would have been snapped up well before now by one of the big clubs so in twelve months we will be back at square one, mid table and saying let's give the new manager a chance sounds like ground hog day to me. I'll never stop supporting the players but I've no confidence in whackaday and won't go while he's sat in the dug out he's a phoney

15.) Martin G
I agree in 12 months time we probably will be saying give the next coach a chance, you've not even given him a chance!
Also when he does go it won't cost us millions like it has done over the past (20yrs) then hover on the brink of administration!

Watch-support-criticise ;)

Morison getting slagged off is starting to get a little tiresome. I don't care if he never scores as long as we win 4 in 5. He's doing and good job and goals will come. Patience.

ValleyWhite

1.) Totally agree Valley

2.) Yeah and pigs will fly!!

Really does feel like we're constantly taking one step forward and one step back this season. Frustrating isn't the word. Games in which we've gone down to 10 men in aside we could have got points from every game if a few things had gone out way. We'll get there. I hope.

I know Redders does terrific work with the academy but surely he has to be given a shot at the job?! I know it's a risk but things are going so well at the moment that I don't want a thing to change.
In my opinion I think we should risk hiring a new academy coach and give Redders the 'coach' position.

ValleyWhite

1.) 18 Sep 2014 11:18:15
perhaps new bloke should work close with redders as he knows the youngers and been with new players

2.) I agree Valley, was thinking the same last night.

The improvement in 3 games has been incredible and starting to pay dividends. Either Redders has the players or he's found the right combination, whichever, I fear a slight step back if somebody new comes in.

13 Sep 2014 15:01:32
Did enough second half, think Redders hit the nail on the head when he said we need to be braver going forward! The only way this system will work.
Doukara made a massive difference coming on for Sharp who quite frankly looked like he didn't want to be there.
Don't quite understand Antenucci getting some stick, came looking for the ball and tried to make something happen, once again, unlike Sharp.

For Tuesday I'd bring in Byram, Doukara and Adryan for Berrardi, Sharp and Bianchi respectively, moving Sloth in to the more central role.

ValleyWhite

1.) 13 Sep 2014 18:51:05
Good Call. Doukara is very mobile and skilkful for his build

2.) 14 Sep 2014 14:24:30
yes he looks comfortable on ball and the more we pass the ball we well get better and the score some goals that's all that is missing

BREAKING; The football league and Shaun Harvey are indeed corrupt.

ValleyWhite

1.) Looks that way, why is he talking about something that may not happen, why are the press all picking it up? Looks like someone on the inside knows something and has an agenda.

IF this all kicks off I think the courts will be busy for quite some time with MC fighting all the way.

Must be precedents in the FL of owners/directors not being treated in the same way.

Rollercoasters on and off the pitch, just another day in the life of a leed fan.

2.) So the players are getting paid each month & ownership of the club is not hidden in numerous off shore companies. One of England's premier clubs is looking quite stable and all our dirty washing is not been played out in the media each day. That must be a good thing for the Football League Brand?
Sometimes in life you are wrong and it's time the football league stopped behaving like children and moved on. Blackpool, Birmingham have problems, they need help which would appear to me to be far more important.
If Cellinos children are not allowed to run Leeds if he is barred, how can Shaun Harvey work for the FL in place of Ken Bates as it seems that Ken really does not want to sell Elland Road and is using all his influence to stop that happening.

3.) Unfortunately guys we have to accept that the Football League will not let this go, they were made to look inept by the successful appeal and will welcome any opportunity that is detrimental to Leeds. We also have to accept that the press revel in rubbishing Leeds, unbelievable really its been a witch hunt since the January transfer window

4.) 10 Sep 2014 10:19:00
Think someone should start delving deep into Harveys connections with our club. Strange how he always goes public with his thoughts on what could happen at Leeds Should that not be a private issue until the judgement is released. He seems to put it out there to cause unrest and I am sure he is still connected to Bates and what he is doing is using his position to influence other matters related to our club which I am sure would be a breach of his contract. Hoping Massimo sorts this guy out once and for all, horses heads come to mind.

5.) 10 Sep 2014 17:28:50
The UK Footbal authorities demonstrate amazing inconsistency in how they approach their assessment of who/what's appropriate in relation to involvement in the sport they govern.

Nobody is commenting on Barclay's Bank, the cases that they have settled out of court regarding Interest Rate manipulation and the fines of hundreds of millions paid to settle allegations. yet their sponsorship money is ok and while coming from bank profits that may have been inflated due to manipulation of interest rates is not based in any small way on "an act of dishonesty"?

This would appear not to be an "act of dishonesty" therefore, other owners of clubs in the UK have other charges found against them, but no officer of any of the UK football authorities makes comment in the specific cases.

Shaun Harvey seems to demonstrate a pettiness, a lack of impartiality and some very poor judgement in his recent comments about Cellino and Leeds.

Just beat Birmingham and f**K him

I think if we could get 5 mil + for him then cash in, buy Jack Hunt and then spend the remainder on a winger - Aggard.

WRover - Ross handed in a transfer request, which if I'm not mistaken means that Ross gets nothing from the deal. Can you confirm this, ed?

ValleyWhite

{Ed003's Note - It usually means he waives the right to a loyalty bonus - but that could quite easily be negotiated that what he loses his new employers would pay (that is pure speculation by me) }

I think in the future Kluivert would make an excellent coach, well respected and I imagine would advocate positive passing football, but I feel at the moment we need a tried and tested coach who knows the English game.
