Well according to the YEP we are odds on to sign Andre Gray from Watford - Be interesting what he could do in Championship despite him struggling to get into a weak Watford side.

Anyone else think that this suspension could be a good thing?
Last season one of the factors preventing us going up was burn out. Chance to get Phillips fit again. Chance for Klich to recharge his batteries after all these games. Chance for Roberts to get fitter. Maybe even a chance for Augustin to get fit to take part this year.
I know we have great momentum but its not all bad!

Good post whitey.

2.) 13 Mar 2020 12:02:34
3 scenarios seem probable
1- season is completed most probably in June or July- the epedemic is only going to get worse for some time
2- season is not completed and declared void so we have to start again in championship- most likely IMO, EFL will love to punish us as usual
3- season stutters on, unlikely.

3.) 13 Mar 2020 12:21:42
Totally agree, Whitey. As long as the season does restart, (and finish) the break will benefit us more than any other team in the league. 👍💙💛💙.

4.) 13 Mar 2020 13:26:12
Interesting times!
I admit there are possibilities but I think if we don't get a chance to finish the season then there will be different things to worry about!
I would imagine that they would either take league as it is or get some computer wizzkid (hopefully not from Derby) to predict the finish either way we would be OK.
The only scenario I am concerned with is that put forward by Italy that the top 4 teams play off.

If they were to take the option not to promote I believe that there would be some huge lawsuits from Leeds and WBA and any other team missing on millions of pounds
Would be time to maybe use those from QSI!

5.) 13 Mar 2020 15:22:58
Whitey - in the unlikely event that they decided to go with computer prediction, why would they need to reinvent the wheel. There are at least two existing sets of staying boffins who have created computer algorithms to generate such predictions. Both of those two have us and Baggies some way clear. (so harder for others to quibble) , albeit not in the same order. I'm sure we'd be happy to be declared joint winners - They also have a common set of four teams in the playoffs - however those were to be sorted out - Bees, Fulham, Florists and out of nowhere, thanks to Agent Matt Smith's heroics last Friday, 'Wall. It would be hard for other teams to argue with the first three but doubtless Brizzle, Preston, Baadiff, Swans and Blackburn (and probably Derby 'cos they like a good moan and despite their incredibly tough run-in would doubtless believe they could've made top six) would take issue with 'Wall.

6.) 13 Mar 2020 15:48:37
Good knowledge Clueless - I was referencing the option that Italy are considering to resolve the Winners of Serie A by taking the top 4 teams and letting them play off.
Knowing how much the EFL consider us their Cash Cow I would think they would look at all options to keep us in the league.

Honestly if a ball isn't kicked I think we would be promoted as you say.

Does anyone have an update on Bogusz
When we signed him he was the big hope expecting to be fast tracked into the first team.
Since then we have seen others stepping over him.
Was he over-rated, slow to progress or could we see him soon
I haven't seen much footage of U23's.

Whitey65

1.) 24 Jan 2020 13:07:25
He had a fabulous pre season, yet Klich still gets game time above him .
You know the story by now, he will be loaned out for a bit then sold for peanuts.

2.) 24 Jan 2020 13:13:32
I have wondered the same and I have now just read that Kun T looks to be leaving. Another one I had great hopes for.

3.) 24 Jan 2020 13:18:59
Do we have a one Pole rule?

I also look back to the Arsenal game and although it was a great night we could have blooded a few of theses fringe and rested the key players that are currently blowing out there ar5es due to workload.

4.) 24 Jan 2020 16:25:52
He was subbed after 31 mins for the U23’s today, so maybe he is being considered for Millwall?

10 Jan 2020 11:16:26
So any thoughts on us trying to sign Harrison or Meslier on a permanent this window?
We have issues with too many loan players this would not only resolve it but also give more stability.
Obviously could cause issues on FFP and whether especially JH would want to be sign for a Championship club permanently.

Whitey65

1.) 10 Jan 2020 13:17:33
No loan player issue right now with Eddie and JC being recalled.
Have space for another.
That being said I'd want both permanently so why not.

2.) 10 Jan 2020 13:23:03
harrision is 8million apprently which at the start of the season i'd of scoffed at but now i would say get him signed which is credit to the lad and belisa for sticking with what to me and many was a dud

mellisa looks like a must buy but if we can wait till summer then i'd wait and spend money on a defender right now.

3.) 10 Jan 2020 13:45:02
If we do NOT go up this season neither player its extremely likely that Leeds will sign neither player.

It really is a crucial January window and a crucial second half of the season for Radz, Orta, Bielsa . I hope they don't mess it up again.

4.) 10 Jan 2020 19:14:58
From those players' perspectives. Do they really want to sign for leeds in January. I can't see any reason that they would. They are playing well so they know that there are going to be clubs that want them.

If leeds don't go up then if they had signed for us they are destined to another championship campaign. If they haven't signed then they are free to move where they want

If leeds do go up then they know they will be playing PL football next year

A lot of posters on here make the assumption that if Leeds want then leeds will get. I can't see it that way myself.

Tying up the transfers of our Centre Halves post haste has to be a priority.
Pontus is not my worry as he has a clause saying he can sign after 20 games. I know Bartley's contract is d to run out soon that does not mean Swansea or Bartley have to decide that Leeds is the option. The way he is playing he could be attracting Premier clubs come the end of the season.
Cellino Commit and leave nothing to chance.

Whitey65

1.) 03 Oct 2016 20:35:34
I agree Whitey65, Swansea have a new manager starting and I hope he dosn"t recall Bartley!

2.) 03 Oct 2016 21:20:27
56

Isn't he unrecallable if there is such a word for the season?

3.) 03 Oct 2016 22:22:52
Think your right there George.

4.) 03 Oct 2016 22:24:17
George, you know what these premier league clubs clever lawyers are like. They could say by season we meant 'autumn'. 😉.

5.) 03 Oct 2016 23:25:28
In that case we will be fine danum. Just one season in Wales all year round. Rain.

6.) 04 Oct 2016 09:54:05
totally agree Pilot and barkley best thing that's happened, other players starting to perform PB for one .
It's about game time. with Brid and Baradi things are starting to look good .
Hopefully we can loan a quality striker in Jan .

7.) 04 Oct 2016 22:33:49
My understanding is that you can only recall a player if no fee was involved for the loan period. As a result I cannot see Swansea letting a player leave for a season for free while they stump up his wages, he isn't a kid on 1k a week that they will pay out of pocket to get game time somewhere. My guess would be we are chipping in a portion of his wages and probably a set fee for the loan so we should be good.

Any idea what is happening with the Goalkeeping position? We have one of the most sought after GK in the division in Peacock-Farrel. Green doesn't seem up to it and Turnbull is on the bench.
Green was supposed to give us confidence, I haven't seen that so far!
We have 4 Keepers who would you play?
Any thoughts.

Whitey65

1.) 17 Aug 2016 13:48:08
i was hoping that we would see more of Peacock this year really, especially when he signed a new deal with us.

2.) 17 Aug 2016 13:58:10
peacock on loan, don't rate turnbull and very few starts in leeds shirt have been quite poor all round (all though not really enough to state) let green and silvestri fight it out. green needs bit of time and silvestri the best shot stopper in the league on his day he wins us points and saves us more than he costs us. at very least play him and sell him otherwise his value will go down, then silv has to do well or green comes back in.

3.) 17 Aug 2016 14:23:34
I take it u didn't watch the game yesterday, green kept us in it for most the game, and weren't a lot he could for their goal, was a good goal, bridcutt will protect the back 4 and take the strain off green, but he's still a quality signing.

4.) 17 Aug 2016 15:10:23
I missed last night need to catch up with the highlights. I thought he was a quality signing but even at Peterborough in a friendly looked shakey. Green cost us in the opener and didn't impress against Brum.
I think its worth giving Peacock-Farrell a go, he looked good last year an we have always given young keepers a go with success in the past.

5.) 17 Aug 2016 16:44:24
Green went 6 months without a game before joining us Whitey so he is bound to have a little rust to shake off, he is looking better every game so I would stick with him for now (with Peacock-Farrell either as No2 or get him out on loan before the window closes so he can get some game time) . Also to be fair to Green, he must be a bag of nerves what with some of the 'defending' going on in front of him.

6.) 17 Aug 2016 17:08:49
i have to say I didn't watch the game, I thought/ think he was a good signing and can do well but I also really rated silvestri and think he won us more than he cost us.

7.) 17 Aug 2016 17:24:26
True Gummie he be with the defending in front but no more than Silvestri last year and he has had his fair share of grief.
Personally he should be a good signing but m just concerned that we let another good keeper slip through our fingers.

8.) 17 Aug 2016 19:09:15
I think you should be more concerned that we have already let another decent goalkeeper (Silvestri) slip through our fingers.

9.) 18 Aug 2016 14:02:36
I have only managed to get to the Atalanta pre-season game so far this year due to work but I thought Greeny played well in that game and kept us in the game with a few brilliant saves. I think he will come good.

Agree cannot see Leeds starting next season with either Kiko or Meslier in Goal if we are promoted. I think we would look for a proven Number 1.
Meslier will go on to be first choice for a long while but not Prem ready yet.

If we got Grey and Adams would probably still start with Barn Door Bamford up front on his own for 80 minutes .

Can't disagree with the post from Baz - could argue that Harrison should be level although I think its the versatility that Dallas offers that would shade it.

On the two signings I don't think that they will be a waste if we go up.
Both players are potential Premier League players after a while with Bielsa. Frustration is that we needed somebody for now.
If Roberts stays fit that is almost like a new signing!
