This football club is a selling club a feeder club, ever since we dropped out of the Premier league, where as it got us lower to mid table mediocrity you can't keep selling your best assets if you've any ambition, if we sell jansson and Siaz to fund transfers then all your going to get is half a dozen sub standard players what is the point?

We sell more merchandise than any other club in this league pulling in over 30,000 yet we can't compete on wages with clubs on lower crowds in a interview on radio this week Heckingbottom said we'll after perform way above budget next season to get in top 6 great way to advertise to sell your season tickets, we might be a big name but where not big club anymore we are just a business for others to make money out of, if any of the under 23s make it great but it won't last long they will be sold like all before them.

All clubs are feeder clubs for bigger clubs. Don't like it but it's a fact of life. Business people but football clubs to make money not lose it. Odd exception but most want to make money. Leeds are finally being run financially sound which means the club won't go bankrupt like the recent past but we as fans have to accept that we won't walk into the premier League with this business model. Our only hope is we have/get a better coach than others and find the odd great value diamond like Saiz who can help us beat the odds. As fans we don't like it but for me it's better than the club going under!

So we all go and support man city then.

3.) 26 Mar 2018 13:33:22
All championship clubs have to sell their best players if they don't get promoted and even then they can struggle to keep hold - that's the way footie works. Even giants like Liverpool cannot keep hold of their players if teams like Barcelona are interested. Our job is to play well and demonstrate the club is going somewhere positive so players want to stay but this season we haven't done so well at that.

If the season started 14 games ago we are bottom of the league with 8pts Fulham would be top with 34 how does that song go Leeds Leeds are falling apart again.

Lose to Chelsea on Wednesday and all the top 6 have done the double Everton and Burnley have all took pts of them we have an appalling goal difference so if we go down which is increasingly looking likely we can't really complain.

Thought the same, last season we didn't lose at home to any of the top teams.

We can't win our home games and it's going to cost us Newcastle and Southampton needed to win them, whoever plays for Leeds the pressure at Elland Road seems too much there's more aggression in our support to your Burnley's we could easily lose next 4 games this is a reality not pessimism 2 pts is all i can see at most which will not be enough hope i'm wrong but the writing is on wall. Several factors have played a part in our struggle injuries, Bielsa's stubbornness to play Roberts playing James up front and other players playing out of position if Geldhart would've had the same playing time as Roberts i don't believe we'd be in this mess with 5-6 extra pts on the board and the goal difference is another killer which generally means the 3 teams with the worst goal difference goes down Norwich, Watford and Leeds.

Disagree bro. JM has had two weeks to work the squad, get his message across, and allow the players to recover a bit from 3 rigorous seasons. I think our energy will scare the carp outta Palace, and we will give em a right cobbing!

2.) 24 Apr 2022 18:04:07
Well let's see shall we? Season isn't over yet and I believe we are capable pf picking up points even in those 2 super tough fixtures. Still in our hands for now.

3.) 24 Apr 2022 20:13:14
Young Joe a good prospect and that’s exactly what he is at the moment. To say categorically if I’d he’d played more we’d be safe, well that’s absolutely ridiculous.

Rumours about Orta and Kinnear leaving the club at the end of the season let's hope so we can do without these clowns helping to run to he club that's my view anyway.

Marcelo Bielsa is responsible for filling our stadium for 4 consecutive seasons week in week out which we haven't seen since the last Premier League days, if Leeds do go down it will be interesting to see the interest with another coach but I suppose it depends also how we start life in the Championship but where not there yet there's a dozen games to safe ourselves I wish the club and especially Marcelo the very best, MOT.

That’s why we need to replace him now. Lock a new manager in for 2 years.
Biesla has been great. Love the man. But he has been found out. Sometimes ideals don’t convert to success. We were disgraceful last night.

Kly
MB first three years on the whole good to very good, 2nd year great
He has never previously stayed more than 3 years at a club and it is fair to suggest one season too many at Leeds

Have you enjoyed this season Kly? do you like being record beaten by several teams ( in our 103 year history) , thrashed, well beaten every week this season Kly?
The boos and silences in the stadium yesterday were palpable and telling for me ; his intransigence has spoilt his legacy.

3.) 27 Feb 2022 11:59:01
My post was about filling the stadium for 4 seasons if you care to read which no other manager achieved for years.

Great post Kly, take no notice of Baz be seems hell bent on wiping out any good memories, I know what you meant mate. Onwards and upwards but very heavy heart this morning for us all Leeds fans!

5.) 27 Feb 2022 13:07:14
Baz - I hope that in time you have the grace to recognise that Bielsa should remain a Leeds legend, despite the struggles of this season.

Yes, we have probably all been infuriated by some of his decisions, and I know that some seek to blame him for our injury problems this season, though many of our injuries can’t in any way be attributed to his training etc. There are many factors behind our travails this season, not least the appalling officiating which has almost certainly denied us a significant number of points, and has certainly affected player morale.

Even as early as the Newcastle away game, if that stonewall penalty was given, putting us two up, there are very few who believe we would not have gone on to win that game … helping build early momentum in the season, and we all know that was not the only poor decision against us this season. Even a few more points would have given us sufficient breathing room to keep us far enough from the bottom three until KP returns to bolster our defence and therefore stop the systemic panic which has taken hold over the last couple of weeks.

Even in our last two home games you can find examples of poor officiating which could well have impacted the game. Had McTominay been booked for his very poor challenge on Koch it is more than likely he’d subsequently have been sent of, as his eventual booking didn’t modify his behaviour. The ref’s failure to deal appropriately with McTominay, and very one-eyed approach to yellow cards clearly affected our players - you could see their simmering infuriation with his decision making, and also a resignation that we could continue to get the rough end from the officials. Yesterday, in the 9th minute Romero clearly fouled Harrison a few yards outside the box - well with range for Raphinha - ref waves play on (and VAR apparently didn’t even check) , denying a good potential scoring opportunity but also feeding into our players’ increasing fatalism - we’re having a poor run with injuries etc and we’re sure as f*ck not going to get any help from the officials. Had we scored then, the crowd would have been bouncing and our players’ spirits raised - it is certainly possible the game could have turned out differently.

Even looking at the Liverpool game, Alisson did actually catch Dan James in that early incident, had he rolled around claiming a pen rather than bounce back up, VAR may actually have scrutinised it properly. But no, sure as eggs is eggs, nothing given for us and in short order two pens given to Liverpool. Yes chances are we would still have lost the game in the end, but a goal for us first thing, when we were actually causing their defence problems, would have put a different complexion on the match, and again, raised our players spirits.

Clu : over time I have no doubt that I will soften my stance on Bielsa legendary status to I agree but right now he and others certainly irritated me this season in this avoidable demisenand on one or two things last season too

Entirely agree re your post re EPL corrupt biased anti Leeds FA officials and VAR . I have posted on this many times including yesterday that the EPL has zero integrity

It's even more reason then that MB, AR and VO did everything in their power to improve Leeds team and squad . sadly they did not do so.

Also I believe the club should have long ago made a formal complaint to the FA and EPL on unjust punishments and unfavourable ref decisions VAR decisions . at least get it out into the public domain/ media: why is their zero FA accountability explanations for these erroneous FA VAR and ref decisions?

We can't keep a clean sheet and the likes of Cooper, Phillips and Berardi aren't good enough liabilities especially Cooper and Berardi, if Cooper is captain again that means he's going to be selected for basically fo most games we won't be challenging, sounds like Orta is desperate to get his own way and bring Jerry in if he signs for Leeds without 2 better strikers back I will personally ask Radrizzani for a full refund.

Not Forshaw he couldn't score if he played all night just another midfielder who's never scored or doesn't really create much.
