Well after that shambles of what some people call football on Friday i've accepted that we're going to be in the championship for another season, yes, mathematically we could still do it but not with this squad unfortunately. We'v had an income of £15.75m from the sale of players and a spend of £25.59 million giving us a defect spend of £9.84m.
Lets be honest here, that is the highest spend since leaving the Prem and under other regimes would likely have sold and not invested at all, so it looks to me like the money has been available and there is a genuine desire to take us forwards but the money just hasn't been spent wisely, with the few exceptions of course, millions has been wasted and that i'm sure is going to be a lesson for AR and a bitter pill to swallow.
As for as AR goes, i'm going to reserve judgement for the summer and see what he does, he can stick his 5 year plan right up his arse but i'm still going to give him the benefit of the doubt this summer, if he doesn't get it right this summer then i'l be very much in the Radz out camp along with quite a few others i expect. As for Orta, well, he should know better.
He's been in English football long enough to know what's needed, instead he's wasted millions on euro trash when he could have invested that money on a few decent players that know the league, perhaps he had his hands tied, maybe he listened to TC, who knows, maybe Radz will get it right this time and let him shop at Sainsbury's instead of Lidl. Ok so PH wasn't my first choice but he's here now and I'll get behind him and the team, so Leeds might not be his favorite club, so what, i expect him to coach with professionalism and integrity and if he does I can see him doing well, he's done ok over at barnsley with a very limited budget and a squad that's hardly capable of setting any league on fire.
He's done ok over at barnsley so imagine what he can do for Leeds with a better squad at his disposal and some players coming out from suspensions etc. On his first day he's had the lads out in the freezing cold snow and shouted orders at them, A proper Yorkshire coach that won't take any crap, never mind sunny Spain. get out in the cold like real men. And just a thought, remember when we brought in Steve Evan's, how many people complained ? the same people that cried when he went !

What a time to blood young BPF, top of the league Wolves' yet I thought he did allright, i'm sure plenty on here will give the lad stick for that 3rd goal but i see a promising young keeper. As for Wolves' its got to be said that they're class, good owners who have invested in the squad and look where they are. I'm sure Radz' 5 year plan is just the same.

Brightwhite, what regulations ? as far as i'm aware other clubs can do what they like and not get punished, remember QPR ? its only Leeds that get made an example of, but don't worry we won't get thrown out of the league, we bring in far too much cash. mooo

wiedwald has played in a top european division for a good standard team, BPF has played in a youth team for leeds, which admittedly is a good standard now, but the two don't really match up do they. BPF showed signs of a keeper who can do well, rather than wied showing sings of one who does, 1 in every 10 games.

Raggity007 let's be honest here, Felix is and has been consistently carp! My neighbours dog would be a better keeper and it’s a Chiauau or however you spell it! Agree with most posts about many of our players not being god enough, need for squad overhaul. If Radz doesn’t wake up and smell the coffee anytime soon and nothing changes preseason I fear our status in this league will nosedive to league one!

He has and he is being fast-tracked to legendary status. No fuss, no endless speculation, he just does what he says. Are you watching Ridsdale and Bates? this is how to run a football club. I didn't include Mass in that as he did a lot of good things and his heart was in the right place.

Personal I think Monk walked from ER as he didn't like the idea of Radz invoking the 12 month extension of his contract, its obvious that radz was skeptical about offering Monk a 3 or 4 year deal and who can blame him ? 10 points from our last 10 games isn't good enough - would you really offer a manager with those stats a 3 year deal ? What ever the reasons for his departure the fact remains that he turned his back on us and well its likely that he'l be visiting ER next season, a game that i reckon he won't be looking forward to.

Could be an interesting few weeks ahead, FA rules stipulate that clubs falling foul of financial misconduct can have points deducted, thing is the the cut off point when the points will be deducted ie pre or post season is the 4th Thursday in March, there are no guidelines to what should happen with clubs who have been promoted.

I think you're right. He's made mistakes and poor team selections that if we were mid table wouldn't be an issue but the top 6 is like a league of its own and one where mistakes bite you in the arse, that and lack of investment of course. One thing that has gone right this season though is the fans, we have shown we are united and we deserve better.

I'd say that MB seems quitely optimistic about what we have in reserve, some seriously good academy produce and a few decent players all but recovered from injury all readying for the 2nd half of the season.
The only thing that worries me is we may have a squad that's capable of walking the walk in this league but I certainly don't think we have a squad that can really make inroads in the PL and if i'm being honest I wouldn't want promotion if we were to do a Huddersfield town.
If the intent is there then some serious money needs spending in the January window, not the summer, so that those players are ready for next season. Then again Bielsa is some what of a genius and we all thought we were going to get hammered against Stoke on the opening day so.

From huddersfield my self and the amount of stick I got last season was stupid, not so much this time round though!
Still, it would just be sublime if they came down as we went up, and in style too and the more we rub their faces in it the better.
