Ed, has the red bull rumour got any legs? Or is it just BS
lol
Seriously though could you shed any light on this please.

{Ed002's Note - Not as far as I am aware Trev. Red Bull has been looking for an English team for a while (getting on for three years). They looked at Aston Villa (regardless of what Gerard Houllier said), Everton, Crystal Palace and at West Ham. They are looking for a club to add to their portfolio that can be invested in with a short-term target of getting in to the Champions League. They know that in a few years time there will be a breakaway pan European league and they want in. They have made little effort to hide this. We are, like it or not, moving toward a global game with fewer players at the highest level. Red Bull, like City Football Group, are looking like major players. Investing in the likes of Manchester United would likely be beyond their means when it is likely floated in 2017 - which I am sure will become a pivotal year for football clubs in England. Investing in a club such as Liverpool would perhaps be constrained by the owners wanting more than the club is worth basing the price on future income. Whilst I suspect that they want the West Ham deal still, if Newcastle were to be available at the right price, it may be a very good option for Red Bull to consider. The infrastructure and fan base are there - the investment to push on that extra bit might be worth a shot.

Realistically, Leeds makes zero sense from my perspective - and I am not aware of any movement Red Bull has made toward Leeds. For a second tier team in England to make it from where they are now through to the Champions League is going to take a very large, high-risk investment. I just can't see it.}

1.) Thanks ed.
By the way though, think leeds has potential to get back up there its not that long ago since we were CL semifinalists.

{Ed002's Note - It'll be a long, tough ride Trev.}

2.) This is how I see it ed, rb come in give us 15 to 20 mill to spend on players and off we go with redders in charge mc taking more of a back seat but still involved. .
Just trying to cheer myself up!

3.) 02 Nov 2014 20:08:14
They are highly likely to replace GFH as shareholders by buying out their stake.

4.) 03 Nov 2014 13:02:53
As much as I would love a cellino red bull dream team in charge I really couldn't see this happening, Red Bull aren't the sort of company to fund a club like Leeds as a minority shareholder. In my eyes if there is anything true it would be a total buyout or nothing.

5.) Roffey, Red Bull will look to buy out GFH with a view to positioning themselves for the main event in years to come.

6.) 03 Nov 2014 21:59:11
I wish it was true George but us leeds fans get carried away, optimism is great, why we are the best fans in the world!!!

7.) I actually heard a fairly credibile rumour that Red Bull were looking at a number of clubs initially for naming rights to the stadium but then building on this to eventually take over the club. It is no secret that they want a club in England to add to their portfolio and they have been looking at clubs in the Championship they see as having Premiership potential eg yourselves, Sheff Wed, Notts Forest, Blackburn to give a few names I have heard as well as lower league Premiership clubs like West Brom, Villa and Crystal Palace who might be open to investment. One big thing that might stop Red Bull considering buying a club outright though is that the FA do not like football clubs changing there name, see the Hull saga, and Red Bull like there clubs to have there brand as part of the name and also like to change the kit, something most fans in England would protest at. Thought I would share this on here as you guys have been talking about Red Bull.

Can't believe the naive post by Ed 002.
MC is in trouble as he's facing big problems with the FL.
He's already invested a fortune into Leeds and is now facing expulsion so why would he spend any more money till it's all sorted out.
Red Bull will invest in Leeds but want a buy out 100%.
GFH are now down to 2% plus a couple of other shareholders.
Let's hope we don't drop into the relegation zone while all the dealing goes on.
What we should be looking at is will Red Bull be any better than Massimo Cellino for Leeds United.

{Ed001's Note - naive? Are you really calling Ed002 naive? Just shows how little you know! The rest of your post is even more idiotic and full of crap.}

9.) Red bull don't share with anyone. I believe they are just waiting to see which way the FL go with regards to Massimo. If finding agst him owning lufc I believe they'll move with an offer. If it goes the other way they walk away.
There's a reason that RB keep hovering, we're the last remaining club with the world wide support & a history to match it. We are that 1 club left worthy of huge investment due to the returns we'd generate through massive media coverage. We're on Sky more often than almost any other chpsp team & if making the PL we'd be the same there. Most other chpsp teams wouldn't get anywhere near our coverage & certainly couldn't compete with kit sales etc. We are that last remaining huge club perfect for RB imo.
Personally I don't want them but I do understand why they don't leave us alone. POTENTIAL! Over to you FL to decide our fate yet again. MOT

10.) Think I said naive post.
Would never insult anyone by calling them naive.
It is because Red Bull do want to purchase Leeds United now that MC has almost sorted out the finances.
I also posted a possible court case on thurs and just wondered if you thought that was nonesense as well.
After all a winding up petition was served the next day .

I agree, honestly I think I’m one of only ones who didn’t see the point in sacking him then to replace with someone like hecky ? Made no sense . we had a bit of. As luck with key players suspended, Roberts getting injured and ayling getting injured and I think the bad run we had comincided with that, but he showed he had the ability to turn bad runs around and we showed we could beat good teams with him in charge . his points saved us from probable relegation this season . I fear next season the way things are

Still think big Mick could do for us what Warnock has done for Cardiff. Just my opinion so expecting lots of thumbs down

4.) 08 May 2018 13:00:41
I kind of agree Mighty. I believe we would have got at least an extra 10 points if TC was kept on. Just my opinion but still correct no matter.

Weve been really good and really s**** this season on and off the pitch ( with the exception of our new owner) we need someone on or off the pitch who has the experience energy character and balls to stand up grab it by the horns and stop the stupid incompetent unproffessional effin cock ups that happen over and over and over again til i'm really sick of it. Then we might have something useful!

Dont think anyone needs to lose their job but somebody explain how we where smashing it earlier in the season and from nowhere we turned to poo poo and how many times have we turned up to play and decided that tactically playing with 10 men might somehow unerve the opposition and lure them into a false sense of security only to end up stuck in our own poo poo again and how many times has an explanation to the poo poo been needed only to find that the poo poo explainer was actually suffering with piles so couldn't give a clear explanation has he had more pressing things on his mind.
