Lad at work just told me he's read that Leeds are trying to take Bridcutt on loan for a year then get him for free and that sunders just want him off the bill. Anybody heard these rumblings themselves or have I got a shitty source lol
Cheers.

That's all over news now, but yeah as long as we get him I don't mind.

2.) 09 Aug 2016 12:55:40
Sunderland reluctant as they are asking £3m but if we get him on a season long loan his is a free agent in the summer.

Would be a nice bit of business.

Did the icelandic actually play in the euros or was he the guy dishing out the bottles?

1.) 26 Jul 2016 14:00:19
not sure be aprrently he is a great clapper.

2.) 26 Jul 2016 17:34:08
No he didnt, his last game was a friendly just before so he maybe picked up a knock or something and lost his place (Because only Hodgson was stupid enough to field an experimental team rather than the preferred starting 11 in the last friendly on the cusp of starting a major championship, right? ) .

3.) 27 Jul 2016 13:29:38
the way we played I think all of the teams Hodgson fielded were experimental.

Bristol city and reading have supposedly offered ekstrand a contract aswell just to throw a spanner in the works.

1.) 09 Jul 2016 22:36:40
Yes this happened weeks ago all 3 clubs offered him a contract but he's signed for us that's what I'm hearing. He's signed today and flower to Ireland and gets announced Monday.

Having a think about our strikers or that the lack of, had a mooch around the web and noticed Carlton cole is unattached. now as far a competition for starting striker goes no one has a prayer of knocking woody off his perch even if he goes 5 without a goal IMO.

so cole would possibly be a great addition for the bench and to maybe push wood a bit to say look we've got someone else who can play the lone striker now so keep going and don't get slack. anyone else think that he could be worth a punt for the rest of the season?

webster995

1.) 05 Feb 2017 00:53:08
I don't mind cole, but he's getting on. He suits our play style but do you really want someone who offers the exact same? I'm interested to see where monk plays pedraza. He plays as a number 9 for Spain's youth team, and he could change things up for us, I feel like he's a bit like roofe but with more consistent end product? He could be a centre forward in the making with the right guidance. Tall, great touch, skilful, I've seen him find the back of the next. You just never know with monkey.

I bet pedraza is sat in cellino's office waiting for the big man to sign his end of the deal but he's just asking why should he sign it and if he ever says he loves Leeds more than him he will end up like benedicic. non existent, "injured" career ruined, getting released by fleetwood or some other shitters

Squeaked that last bit thro Webster! But always thought we should've kept Ant!

Not the first and won't be the last, Bright - welcome to the forum. :)

Any ideas on how many games janson has left before the agreement sets in? Can only think the reason cellino hasn't bitten the bullet and said go on then lovey we'll have ya is because he thinks there could be potential for a reacurrence of a supposed knee injury he suffered some time back? (Don't know too much about that) I hope it's soon because he is first name every week.

Doesn't really matter webster. No doubt everything will be timed so the purchase occurs first few days of January 2016b.

2.) 25 Oct 2016 17:12:28
George, we've got to sell Taylor first surely?

3.) 25 Oct 2016 20:56:08
Danum, we are aiming to have Taylor sign a contract extension. I don't believe Cellino needs to sell Taylor to fund Pontus.

Bit of a random one but Who owns Elland Road? Been wondering for years, keep reading different stories on who owns it. A lot seem to think it's the old fluff nugget bates but I'm not convinced!
Cheers!

A consortium based in cayman islands fronted by Adler.

I have doubts about the Bournemouth lad. yes he's proven championship, but how many players have we signed that come with that label and have failed to deliver in front of upwards of 3x the amount of fans that they have played in front of? Dean court holds 11,500 peeps. ours holds shy of 40,000. so many have come and bottled it. Can't see this being different. Hope to be proved wrong and hope he holds the key to a top 10 by xmas and a few quality signing in Jan to push on to playoffs! Anyone agree or disagree?

1.) 02 Sep 2016 13:29:46
only time will tell I guess. ER may hold 40000 but we rarely get that these days and O'Kane will have played in some big games in the past. Hopefully he will turn out a bargain and he certainly has the experience (in getting promoted, not just playing in the Championship)

2.) 02 Sep 2016 15:40:24
Positivity reigns, he is going to be awesome and all the fans will get behind him. We are one and we continue to grow. We wil be awesome after the break👍🏻.

3.) 02 Sep 2016 17:27:23
Personally think he should be good enough to do a job after all at least he has played in the championship.
Our recruitment in general over the last few seasons has been poor, we have signed far to many players who simply are not good enough or cannot cope with type of football played in this country .
I not saying we should go back to the days of burn't out prem players but players such as Bridcutt will cost a little more in wages .
It's like we want a first class post and pay for a second class stamp which is why we are mid -table .
Just look how many sides have taken prem youngsters or fringe players on loan again this year .

4.) 02 Sep 2016 19:23:08
We have some very good players now, but lack balance, too light up front, too many midfielders, not enouh centre backs, with Wood leading the pack can't see us anymore than mid table again, nasty feeling sticking with Wood will cost Monk his job, an out and out striker would have given us more of a chance and appeased the fans, Becchio certainly ain't the answer, the so called press are already piling the pressure on Monk, hope he gets a good crack of the whip, unusually quiet at Elland Road as well, takeover loming perhaps?,

5.) 02 Sep 2016 20:08:26
I'll be honest I thought O'Kane was a pointless buy and might still be, BUT a mate pointed out a formation in which he might work out. 4-2-3-1. Bridcutt and O'Kane the two protecting the defence and let's face it, it needs protecting. The 3 in front could be a combination of either Roofe, Hernandez, Mowatt, Dallas, Phillips or Viera. We don't have a great deal up front, but I'd opt for Antonsson. Sakho and Wood are an option.

6.) 02 Sep 2016 20:55:38
I think we have some midfielders with goals in them. With more strength in depth I think the we have the flex to get more forward and break up opposition defence and cause more problems which I hope will lead to goals. Let's see what rolls out after the break but even after our shaky start I still have a really good feeling. Monk has now had a real opportunity to get this team knocked into shape. No excuses and I am not worried about losing a few, I just want the lads to put in a shift and provide the other teams something to think about. We have been too predictable and too easily broken down under the likes of BM and NR etc. I want us to be a force to be reckoned with an massively positive goal difference 🙄😜MOT.

7.) 02 Sep 2016 21:22:30
Dogwise I wish we were mid table mate.
Peacock I really think your post is bang on.

8.) 02 Sep 2016 21:37:03
Forgot to add that it's a shame we have a few missing due to international duty🙄.

If he knew what was good for his career he'd know being a free agent would serve him better than playing with these pathetic excuses of footballers 😂😂.

I think I would prefer pringle to this guy, just something about pringles game that appeals to me. maybe loan one of them and see how aidy white comes back next season, white can be a killer when he's on it. especially against some 'giants' i'm sure we all remember his storming run against everton in the cup ;) and arsenal were after him a few seasons ago!

saw this a few weeks ago but didn't think to reply however having thought about it I wouldn't mind allowing doukara going to another club in England on loan to let him find his feet. bianchi isn't cut out for English football, he's too soft. sloth though. wouldn't be happy to see him leave tbh I think he still has something to prove at the club but breaking the team atm is a long shot though so again I would probs like to see him loaned out to find his feet.
