I hope he does well because he seems like a lovely bloke and he is Leeds. But I fear my prediction is that his man scores from set plays throughout this tournament because delivery will be better and he cannot mark his man (or maybe he is so busy marking or watching his man he forgets he is supposed to actually be winning a header so doesn’t attack the balll and is always half a step behind) .

To be fair, Coops can’t really take all the blame for their first goal, he played some pretty decent long balls in the first half, certainly can’t be blamed for Scotland’s poor decision making overall. He can’t be blamed for O’Donnell blocking off Christie when was breaking into the box etc, etc.

Have to wonder why Forrest wasn’t playing from the start, ahead of O’Donnell, as he had an impact when he came on.

It would be just typical if Scotland raised their game and England went in complacent on Friday.

The one drawback for Scotland is, they have too many bang average players. A couple who have a springkling of talent and a couple who should not even be there.

Agreed to an extent clue, but how many times this season did we see the opposition score or get a good header on goal with coops half a step behind the attacker exactly like today. Didn’t happen anywhere near as much with Struick or Llorente (although he looked a little dodgy in the air for his first game or two) .
