The Athletic reporting a deal done for Dan James. I know a few have reservations but I think he could be perfect for Leeds and with Bielsa coaching him, will very quickly become a superstar (I hope) . James down the left and Harrison brought into the middle to act as a No 10, will work very well me thinks! The way we break away on the counter, having the speed that James delivers will certainly give us more options to score, just like Troare gives Wolves. Just my opinion though.

Hold your horses MG, toffees trying to hijack now seemingly, but you would think bins would win the manager allure.

Who said Leeds and Rad wouldn’t spend any cash?
Apologies below lads 😉.

Seems very expensive for a player in a position we are already well covered. Bielsa keen on him though so would be interesting to see what happens. Is it last minute desperation though as opposed to a well thought out strategy?

Let Everton have him not worth £25 mil.

"Last minute"!

The lads taken years to get to us (if he does)

Personally I see Raphinha as the No10.

Angus always said if the right deal was available we would do it so not desperation just taking opportunities.

I’ll be happy if this goes through. Bielsa clearly rated the lad back in 2018/ 19 and had apparently done his homework in coming to that conclusion, recalling the Dan James folder evident on his desktop when bringing up his Spygate presentation. Since then he’s had significant experience in the Prem, in European club competitions and with Wales, and doubtless Bielsa will have reviewed his performance in all those games.

If he’s agreed to join us, Orta must have been able to present a fairly compelling case in respect of the role and development Bielsa envisioned for him, as the lad will evidently have needed convincing over his likely playing time.

He is prepared to put a shift in out of possession, is technically sound, is virtually two footed, can play either left or right and even as a striker. His pace can make us an even greater threat on the break, and help prevent teams committing too many on the press against us. And all that is before Bielsa gets to work on his game…….

Exactly Ox. Leeds have their targets and no point buying a player for the sake of it.

I think we were all hoping we may do some late business, I will be delighted if we get James over the line, it will give everyone involved with the Club a lift. Could there be another surprise tomorrow?

I’m delighted with the James transfer too but there’s a few numpties who believe he’s shite. Time will tell I suppose?

MG Raph no number 10. James will be used in league games as a supersub much like Eddie was.

How and why are we all assuming Raph can play at no10? Has he played there before? Rodrigo has been playing out of position there and making a hash of it so who is to say Raph will fare any better? Or do we just lose his ability on the wing also and still not have a no10? I pray that this is the plan and it's one that will be effective.
