Apparently Swansea was one of a number of clubs who enquired about Summerville. Would have been great to have him go down there for a medical etc on deadline day then ‘change our mind’ at the last minute - obviously letting the lad in on the joke before hand.

although i like the idea in principle Clu it is probably putting the boy Summerville through a fair bit unnecassarily and the chairman in question isn't even there is he?

Of course, the Mumbles are a beutiful part of the world so maybe if 'Jimmy' got to stay there for a few days he may not mind too much.

I know Baz, there’s no way Bielsa, or Radz would have sanctioned such a thing. Orta might have thought about it though, for a few seconds.

Alf, I was going to add that as it was the international break the Club could have treated him to a couple of days off on the way back, in a more scenic part of Wales, to make it worth his efforts.
