Worrying stat from last 3 league games. Whilst "only" conceding 6 goals, we've faced a mammoth 67 shots on target in that time. That's 1 every 242 seconds and that's just the on target shots. Worst top flight start in almost 9 decades. Don't think Bielsa can afford to lose against Hornets. Fact is teams know how to play against us now. He ought to have changed things a little in midfield in order to combat opposition knowledge but this required investment and we were too busy haggling over pocket change and not pursuing the correct targets. #self-sabotage.

I think it’s a mix of biesla stuborrness and players under performing and injuries.
We not anywhere the team of last year.
Very disjointed.
It’s going to be a long season.
Jan we need striker and midfielder.
Our youngsters although talented are not world beaters and prem capable. They may keep us up but no more x.

If bielsa was managing any other club and had started the season like this then he would be standing over the trap door. He is living on his record for the past few seasons at Leeds. How long do you realistically he will survive it things don't improve. Personally I don't think he will be here next season.

Think that's a bit harsh Mezz, yes we ain't started well that's true. But of the games we have played 4 of those clubs will finish top 8 so I suppose a bit of context is needed , but I really wouldn't want bubs to given the boot due to this poor start

Let's now see what the man is made of in terms upping the morale, tweaking the game plan. But it is really after driving me mad to think we let pre season go without proper additions in crucial areas.

Might get lucky if we did and persuade Woy to come out of Wetirement, or even better big Sam, or if were really lucky Mark Hughes

I now see what you have done here. Some writers very loosely refer to any shot as a shot on goal (rather than describing it as a shot at goal) , which some readers (including you) might confuse as meaning shot on target. Over the last 3 games our opponents have indeed attempted 67 shots at goal, of which 23 were on target, which is one every 704 seconds (around 11.7 minutes) . Yes that is higher than we, and Bielsa, would wish, but nothing like the alarmist picture you presented with “a mammoth 67 …… and that’s just the shots on target”.

Never said sack bielsa, not even saying we should. Just saying he probably be looking over his shoulder at the door if he was elsewhere. But the guy has got to now prove his worth, let's hope for Leeds sake and our premiership status his stubbornness isn't his downfall. Reality is he doesn't usually stay around too long anywhere.

Alf - there’s no way the Board would be happy with us going down. It would be a massive gamble. They’ve seen how difficult it is to get out of the Championship - it would require everything to go right for us, probably starting with choice of a new manager, and they also know it would be giving the EFL another chance to try its best to keep us subjugated.

Im not saying that's what I think we should do. Merely trying to make sense of a baffling lack of strengthening by our board. Maybe they don't want to spend any money and prefer to try and make it with the u23s.
