I doubt he will leave in January.
But with the acceptance that he will likely cost around $100 mill wouldn't it be smart for a euro club to sneak in with an offer in jan rather than wait for a tug of war in the summer?
I think if an offer over $75 mill comes in at any point he will go.

Difficult to say. No doubt we want him to stay but while a player is fit and in form it's hard to say no. He always looks like he is likely to get injured and if that happens the profit is gone. By signing James and with the emergence of Summerville one could argue we already have the replacements lined up.

Absolutely nonsense, sell our best player Incase he gets injured 🤷‍♂️.

Football is a business now so owners make business decisions. Why do any teams sell their best players? Money. Radz hasn't got the money to get us anywhere near Europe or to redevelop the stadium so he needs to sell our assets if he wants to do so. He has to keep selling chunks of his shareholding to 49ers just to keep us in business. Sooner he sells up the better.

Screw the money for Raph, Radz should be trying his absolute maximum to keep Raph as long as possible at the club. You only have to look at Villa and what happens when you sell your best player.

Signing James was A knee jerk reaction by Rads which will never pay off after all we bought so many for the future one of of those would have done better,

I don’t Think DJ was knee jerk, but more like bowing down to MB, who clearly sees some massive potential on the boy. Let’s hope he can deliver on developing the lad?

OP - look what happens when Leicester sell their best players. Kante/ Mahrez/ Maguire have all been sold. They’ve already had a young replacement lined up/ in the academy/ squad capable of stepping up. Kante was replaced with Ndidi, Mahrez by Barnes and Soyuncu replaced old slab head. Leicester model of recruitment is one that Radz is a fan of; he’s openly stated he admires their business model. Villa’s (scattergun) transfer approach was diabolical after they got promoted. We have Summerville who in a season or two could well be challenging Raphinha for minutes. Selling Raph for £100m and not being forced into making an expensive winger signing could be good for the club when the time is right. The same could be said about Phillips with Bate and Jenkins as the replacements. While I want these two to stay our plan to replace them with their youth understudies if a far better approach than Villa’s.
