Rodon. Great season but wasn't good enough for spurs right? Might need an upgrade.
Ampadu in defence only. Not good enough in midfield. I do doubt the wisdom of two Welsh defenders though. Not the strongest nation in the world are they.
Need left back. Keep wober for cover.
Sell struick and let byram go.
Arronsen sell. Need new am
Tanaka keep but needs to strengthen up and not lose the ball.
Keep gruev for back up.
New holding mid needed.
Solomon sign if possible. Give James and rams chance to prove themselves in prem but need new winger.
Sell gnonto gman and matteo and Bamford.
Need two new strikers.
Give piroe chance to prove himself as a back up striker.
Play Schmidt more.
We have to get our defense right. There is a huge gulf in the mainly poor attackers they faced this season to what's coming next. I do fear what we have isn't good enough.

Agree with all of that Aus. Two strong back would be the strength Amos and Rodon need. I think they're both good enough for mid table, likewise Tanaka, gruev, Solomon, Schmidt and ramazani.
Piroe not versatile enough as a striker.

I don’t expect many will agree whiteman, but for me, yes, a minimum of 6 starters. Let’s not get all sentimental. It was an awesome season but major major upgrade needed now. Top notch recruitment and as much dish as possible as Marathe has already acknowledged. It’s a huge step up.

What we want / need will have to be offset with what we have got and what we can get / afford.

Simple as that.

This board have shown that will not deviate from the financial rules, whilst at the same time have demonstrated to be very adept at finding value in the transfer market.

It is going to be hard enough as it is, without the risk of point deductions and the like.

I don’t expect anyone to agree with me, but I don’t think the squad is as bad as many portray. This is a better squad than the one that came down.

3 or 4 “better’ players will come in on transfer and potentially a couple more on loan, but I think until January, 6 or 7 of the current starting line up will kick off the EPL season (at least)

Six starters we need. 150 mill. Average of 25 per player. Buy couple bargains spend 30. - 40 on some proven. Sorry ani. Whereas this team maybe better than the relegated one it is far far not good enough to survive. The defense will get battered. Maratha and Farke. Let’s see what you got.

Makes no odds Aus…. we have about £60m to spend, based on our the last two seasons of losses. So, we’ll find out how good this team is, because it’s largely going to be this team.
