Just so people know the truth.
I am currently in a race with Master Bates to open a radio station.
He has a lot more cash at his disposal so he will get there first I'm sure of that.
His will be known as Radio Yorkshire based above the Subway but not aligned to LU in any way.
I'm hoping to bring back Yorkshire Radio in the offices behind the East Stand.
Looking at providing football and many many other sports live commentary plus lots of new stuff and working much more closely with fans.
I have a very good relationship with the club and hopefully with Massimo's and David Haigh's help we will get there soon.

Good luck Jeff hope it works out mate

Good luck, I miss the Yorkshire Radio, tv Leeds are not up to it and more interested in Huddersfield

The trips home from the games have just not been the same since YR ceased. I even miss Eddie interrupting every single caller to tell them what they should be thinking (I suppose he's earned the right).
What's happened to the phone in now we're back on the BBC? Good luck in bringing it all back.

Could not agree more -Thom & Eddie were a class act, and the Friday and Monday evening shows with Dom Matteo et al were unmissable. Bring back the Yorkies! I agree Radio Leeds are part-timers who've been very much Huddersfield & Bradford focused the last few years. They weren't expecting to have to cover Leeds this season (thanks GFH for pulling the plug on YR on the eve of the season!), and consequently their coverage of Leeds feels like -and is- a bit of an afterthought. They have no real insights into the club, and know less about it, and what's going on, than most regular / well-informed fans. And am I the only one who finds Popey just a tad whiney and negative? Anyway, here's hoping we can be hearing the colossal Kirwin and crew back on the airwaves sometime soon. Chapel A

Thom and Eddie still present LUTV and there is always the Monday Club with Thom and Dom Matteo plus guests. LUTV costs me a fiver a month. Hardly bank breaking

Crmd

{Ed013's Note - I spoke with Thom today and he asked if Jeff was the one that tried buying Yorkshire radio as he can't recall him at work?}

LUTV is hardly a substitute! Both Thom & Eddie and the club itself deserve a wider audience than that. LUTV is by definition for the hard-core fan -we need proper coverage on the airwaves that's going to enthuse / suck in the casual and potential fans (including the kids, who may or may not come from Leeds-supporting families). Radio Leeds are incapable of being the mouthpiece on the airwaves that a club of our stature, appeal and fanbase needs -that's the point. Chapel A

Good luck on your radio venture, you do not say will it be DAB or FM, and when are you hoping to start broadcasting
i miss the old YORKSHIRE RADIO with EDDIE GRAY comments, all the best

Good luck with the station Survivor. Please don't bring Thom back though as he is absolutely hopeless
