Rudolph Austin to Brighton.

1.) 18 Aug 2014
Don't think so besides he always plays with his heart on his sleeves mot

2.) 18 Aug 2014
Happily get rid of him. Not good enough. Can't play a simple 10 yard pass.

3.) 18 Aug 2014
Please, please, please let this be true

4.) 18 Aug 2014
Can't play a 10yd pass?
Ummm look at the stats v Boro mate your eyes might get a RUDE awakening lol

5.) 18 Aug 2014
We need better than Austin to get promoted

6.) 18 Aug 2014
Not sure who we have that can fill his role atm, personally I still think he has a place at the club offering support to the back four and breaking up play.

7.) 18 Aug 2014
Austin always plays with his heart on his sleeve! Can't fault him in anyway for that and wish every Leeds player was the same!
Sentiment aside, is He good enough to take us forward? My head says no I sorry to say! We need better Fella's MOT

Both sets of comments are right. Austin is extremely committed, but damn it, he kills our passing percentage.

I'm liking how our off-season has unfolded and Cellino has given us reason to trust him. That Milwall loss was a blessing in disguise.

If every player in the team put as much effort in as rudy we would be a far better team and for a attacking midfielder playing a holding role I think he's doing ok. Who else can tackle like rudy and when he does it fires everyone up including the fans. I don't them he's a problem and would always be a great player to have as back up if we get someone better so I say keep him.

Playing in front of the back four Austin does very well. Unfortunately too many fans get an idea into their heads and it sticks. Either somebody's great or they're rubbish irrespective of facts or changes in form. On Saturday for example as far as passing was concerned Austin was far better than Byram and in commitment as well. Ask some fans though and they would say Byram was good and let's get rid of Austin. That's just one example there are are lots more. Fans like White and regularly find excuses for his poor performances - I suspect fans saying get rid of Austin are all for playing White(not in the same position). Too many assessments based on emotion and not on the facts. There are a lot worse players in the current squad than Austin. He would leave a hole and be missed at present.

I completely agree with virginiawhites - the Millwall loss WILL help us this season

12.) 19 Aug 2014
I think austin is ok (not great not awful). He does give all and looked ok in the david batty role the other day. Aprrently is passing was over %80 accurate and best passer on the day! Also like murphy think it is more about getting them to play together rather than new players (i hope anyway). Millwall game was disgrace but seems to of had postivie effect maybe bit like Arsenals opening day loss to villa might of been wakeup/shake up call needed. Very impressed if so as it takes character and good mind set to pick up form such a p@@s poor performance which we seem to of done. Against millwall we looked like a none league team so very impressed with mind set and improvement. we may play really bad this season and have a bad match but it seems like we will bounce back and improve if we do and I think that is very postivie

Very limited in every facet of his game -cannot tackle, so cannot see much of a future in the defensive mid role. And as for his passing. Please let this rumour be true.
