MC will decide no matter what.
IMO Steve Clarke has a vast amount of coaching skills and quality, experience gained from his Newcastle days with Gullit and Chelsea with Mourinho. Worked as assistant also under Zola at West Ham. Success with Liverpool coaching, First managerial position with West Brom is arguably considered a success - Manager of the month, finishing 8th.
6 major honours as a player, incl Chelsea player of the year 94.
MC, stick you're long haul hat on and grab Clark. He has the credentials its up to you to show your commitment to him.
The others in the race are either unknown qualities or we have been there before, New blood and vision needed after all 12/13 new players to deal with. MOT

Yeah Clarke is pretty much the only logical candidate who might come.No way pulis would come.Clarke has spent the majority of his time coaching as you say so we might have a shot.Just hoping it's not a serie b standard Italian

Agree 100%. I'd wnat to see him spend some of the Ross £11M on Clarke to get the team on a solid base for this season and to go for promotion next. I'm not writing off this season yet, but I think there are other teams better set than us already.
No point wasting money now, let's see what we've got when the transfer window shuts and with a quality coach who can build a "team".

I agree with you southern Clarke would be an excellent choice but can you in all honesty see him or any other established managers coming to work under someone as unpredictable & egotistical as MC . I was very sceptical about MC buying our club in the first place after the whole affair with Bmac but over pre season & up until this point I have agreed & being pleased with a lot of the things he has done he's certainly a very astute businessman but I fear he is severly lacking in knowledge about the English game & the way he is going about player recruitment shows this, I fear things are going to get a lot worse before he realises his mistakes and takes a step back I only hope he realises in time otherwise I can see a few years in league one obscurity looming .

White would be my first choice also, good coaching and footballing background . But MCC might have other ideas lol Y Post saying he is very interested, so all you negative ones saying no good manager would look at us ( including Mr Giles ) have a rethink lol
