I think that's a great summary Ed. Tris even mentioned my beloved sprinkler system, which I am very excited about seeing in operation.

I think there's a split camp on here with the pro-Cellino, whatever he does brigade and those that get p***ed off with how he treats people etc etc but they should not be mistaken for whingers, it's not the case. People has their right to opinion and if anyone can say they haven't cringed at some of Cellino's comments or slightly disagreed with how he's handled matters then they are liars. Tris (the editor of this piece) states his displeasure for Cellino, is he a whinger?

All these 'whingers' are doing is pointing that out that they are unhappy with certain things he has said. It doesn't mean we love Leeds any less or don't want the team to succeed. So schoolboy comments like 'where are all the Cellino haters now' are pathetic.

For me, my respect for Cellino hit rock bottom after his handling of Redfearn but as Martyn, George and Aus have all said, he's learning and is probably being better advised now, probably because we now have Adam Pearson on board. I like the fact he's getting the back room all sorted which will give us stability.

I'm looking forward to the press conference today as things are definitely looking up, I only hope Pearson can keep Massimo doesn't louse it up!

MM

{Ed001's Note - no one is perfect, at the end of the day, but that doesn't mean anyone should just sit on their hands and say nothing when they see someone making a mistake. How is Cellino supposed to learn if all he gets is yes men around him telling him how great he is? In ancient times kings used to employ someone specifically to say no to everything they wanted to do and explain why the king should not do it, as a counterpoint to all the yes men. Naysayers is what we know them as now, and they have a role to play, even if others feel they are overly negative. If you do not see both sides of an argument, how can you be sure you make the correct choice?}

I take the point that Tris is making, and I agree with much of what you Tris and MM say. However, I think there are perhaps 3 camps here:

1) Pro - Cellino. They accept he's a looney but honestly believe that he has the best interest of the club at heart.
2) On the fencers - People who state their frustration over some of his 'ways', and just pray he's not another Bates in the making.
3) People who are "mood hoovers" They suck the happiness out of anything. Doom mongers. People who find the worst in anything remotely Cellino, Redders, BMcD, and so on.

I have no problem with the people that fall into 1 and 2.
Nothing wrong with an opinion.
People who fall into category 3 need to switch their computer smart phone off, and stay away from Rumours Banter sites.

Ok, perhaps there's more than 3, but I'm just trying to simplify things. Happy Tuesday everyone :-)

Ed 001 - I see what you are saying re above but at the end of the day you don't want a club run by committee, best leaders are ones that make decisions, learn from mistakes (which all leaders make) but leaders who are sure in their vision and won't listen to everyone else.

I think history shows that the greatest leaders the world have seen have almost always followed their vision and got on with it and not listened to the other side/point of view (which there always is of course).

All leaders cock up in the end because of this trait but often achieve loads in the meantime. If you always listen to counter views you will never get anything done.

For the record MC is mad but seems to be better than our previous owners for a while so let's see where we go.

{Ed001's Note - actually the best leaders listen to others and make the right decisions based on the information at hand. It is when they stopped listening that they ended up falling flat on their faces, hence the requirement for naysayers.}

Ed001 - Think you are looking at a different world history to me then, agree to disagree on this one

interesting questions and some good points made. I think it depends on what prosper means to leeds and what the situation would be like without MC, Leeds you could argue are a massive one city club with big fan base and great history so propser would be getting back in champs league or at least prem. others could argue with out MC we would be a semi professional club playing with jumpers for goals posts. For what my opinion is worth I think this

MC is far from perfect, he shouts mouth off and some things he says is BatS@@t crazy. However is c.v. with clagri is very good (look how they overachived with him and have suffered since he left). Also worth noting what state the club was in when he took over, tiding up that much pony takes time. So maybe a better question is not will leeds prosper but are we better off than we were, I think yes. RM went for millions others under bates when for peanuts. Our young players are singing new contracts not leaving for norwich, our playing and back room staff is getting better and better. Things are looking up rather than looking down (first time in years that has been case). No things are not perfect but a season is starting with hope and not dread, prosper depends on your view point, better off than were. I don't think anyone can argue with that

It's a good article and sums up the situation perfectly. Moving forward, you would think cellino advisers are imploring him to buy the remaining bits of the jigsaw because without them we are mid table mediocrity. Once those players are acquired cellino goes up in my estimation. I accept cellino has stabilized the finances,got the right backroom staff and tied the younsters to pro contracts but it's time to buy 2 good strikers a quality winger and defensive midfielder because without them we don't have a hope.

as for the history stuff you can never be too sure as we do not know them, but what often makes the great leaders great also makes them floored. Look at all people marked in history, from the great roman emporers and Julias Ceare, Neoplan, the great presidents, Gandi, Hitler, Chruchill and even thather (like or dislike any of them) they all have a great beliefe in themselves and are headstrong, they may listen to adviors they may chose to listen to themsleves (I think it tended to be from a point to point basis rather than listening for years then not lsitning and failing) MC to a greater or lesses extent shares these trates, like ambrovic. This is probably how they got their millions and their success. Think honest thing is with these types of people somethings work and cause great success and other things fail and causes great failiure, bit like all of us only the outcome is not as notable, we make the wrong desicion it is not going to be as noteable or tragic, we make success it will not be as noteable or great

{Ed001's Note - Roman has a group of football advisors that he listens to.}

U didn't include mad mick in your leader category. Sort of waters your argument down somewhat!
