Can somebody remind me why we are buying woods for 2 or 3 million?
Looked at recent history and bit of gamble

Don't call him Woods, you'll upset DG our resident voice of reason.

Ausman, I get the point about his record linked to transfer fee however he is a striker who has championship experience, is 23 and therefore has potential to develop (which ticks Cellino's box) and has the physicality and mobility to provide a genuine threat. His average record is linked towards not having prolonged matches in a team, the previous occasion he did was at Millwall where he scored 11 in 19 games (I think)

Not really a gamble, on his day he is a great championship striker and especially if he has quality players like Mowatt and Cook feeding him. He averages 1 in 3 but I think on form he is more of a 1 in 2 so better than anything we have at moment I would say.

Rosler is spot on. Wood will get goals in this league offering genuine physicality (bye bye Morison) and will develop as a player. I expect some solo goals from him.

Yes it is Wood (even in some papers they say Woods as a headline then use wood in the text, I mean come on people!).

The guy is not much of a gamble Ausman, proven goal scorer in championship stats are good, anyone who can score 11 in 18 for Millwall can't be bad. I don't really mind he didn't do it at ipswich last year for a bit, heart prob wasn't in it.

As a lot of us keep saying, how much of a better place are we in compared to last year!

Every player is a gamble. At least we're making a calculated gamble rather than buying cheap. We may have paid over the odds, but when a player is wanted by more than one club the price will always rise.Just nice to be in for a player who other clubs want. Usually we get a player cheap because we're the only ones daft enough or just lacking ambition, hence Morison.
